It is a sweet story about the life of a school teacher. The author has done a good job explaining the various emotions being faced by her in her journey of life.

This book was one of the heaviest, emotional, but also fast-paced one for me.
I completed it within almost one night.
I kind of felt the character of Anuradha, the teacher, was kind of emotional and stuck in her own head. She kept living between past and present. The storyline was good and had the emotional hook to draw the readers into her world for the longest of the time.
However, the world building for other characters was not strong enough but I feel there is a scope of a sequel novel or book which can justify the cliffhanger of the first book and the hunger that this book leaves the reader with because I feel the character of Reyansh and Arvind need more justice. But that is my personal opinion as a reader.
The book has been told from Anuradha's POV mostly and that's why you hardly get to know the other side of the story. And I am a reader who loves to read dual and multiple perspectives to add onto the drama into the story.
But nonetheless, this story was highly emotional, eye-opening, and introspetive. It made us swing between past and present with the female main character and see how she was able to find the perfect balance of her professional and personal life, despite her jarring emotions which she had no way to share with the world for the longest of the time.
I think many women who do not speak for themselves or those who have always lived a life for others can relate to Anuradha's character a lot. I so feel she took the stand for herself and did what was right for her when she could in the past. But I think that is my emotional attachment to the character and story speaking.
However, kudos and congratulations to the author for writing such an emotional story that makes the reader want to sit on the edge of the table or chair and wonder what new memory is going to trigger her past and where will it lead to next.
Waiting for the next book from this author to devour as intelligently as this one, maybe with even more questions to probe for spiraling into Anuradha's world like she belongs to a version of me in one of the timelines, I might have lived or will live.

I just finished reading this and it really touched my heart. It is a story about a connection that has no name. It is about a teacher named Anuradha and her student Reyansh and the bond they share without saying it out loud. The author captures very minute details of the events which makes you feel like you are right there watching it happen. The ending actually hurt a little and this story could easily make you cry. It makes you think about the people from your past that you lost touch with. You can feel the pain in the silence between the characters and I loved how it showed that some relationships don't need a label to be important. It is not a typical love story but it is very emotional. Definitely read this if you want a story that stays with you for a long time.

Anuradha is a school teacher who seems to be emotional burned out and raising her child away from her husband who is working in another place. She starts to mentor a student in Java and the form a quick friendship. She then goes through a rollercoaster of emotions based on this relationship. In the end Im not sure if the boy might not have just been using her to help himself get good grades. He was nice and felt genuine but easily pivoted when he no longer needed her.

I thought this was an excellent novel and I could relate to it totally, having taught for many years. Teaching seemed to encourage connections that were slightly more than friendship, perhaps undefined, yet very special, and this book captured the nature of one. Yes, she was already married, and he was but a kid, perhaps unwilling or unable to express what he was feeling. Yet one can look back at it after many years and still say there was something special there. The book expressed that perfectly.

I enjoyed this book and the writing is clear and beautiful. The relationship between teacher and student is moving, and the author does a good job of building the characters and giving them spiritual and emotional depth in this quick read novel. It's a story of soulmates, experiences that touch our lives, even if for just a moment, and the different kinds of love that can affect a heart in a profound way. It's a beautiful story I recommend to transport you and make you think about how different energy's/souls enter our lives and impact us in a special, memorable way.

Stories like 'In the Fall of Time' are written in ages. The author Deeplai Bakshi has done a tremendous job. Every page is like a separate emotion, and each chapter takes the reader to the different corners of hearts filled with love and compassion. Characters like Anuradha, Chinmay and Reyansh take you on the roller coaster ride of heartfelt emotions.
I really appreciate the effort of the author and hope that more love and compassion will flow from her pen in the near future.

In the Fall of Time by Deepali Bakshi is a novel that stays with you. It doesn't shout, it whispers, and yet it stirs something deep inside. Bakshi writes with exquisite sensitivity, exploring silence, the passage of time, and those human connections that never quite find a name. It's an introspective, sincere, and deeply emotional read.
