The holidays are coming to Foggy Basin and Tig is more than ready to celebrate with his boyfriend Isaac. Tig loves Christmas and every thought is on presents he needs to buy, and how they’ll decorate the house.
When Isaac realizes how excited Tig is he wants to make it as special for him as he can. Even if it means decorating trees, and lots of shopping. This is all new to him and he’s going to put all his effort into making this Christmas great. He’s even got a few tricks up his sleeve to make it special.
For the second year in a row there’s a promise of snow and everyone in town is excited. Tig and Isaac are in love and ready to have the best holiday yet, even if they have a few things to take care of first.
This book just gives us a glimpse into Isaac and Tig's everyday life prior to the holidays. But it reminds you of when you were first having Christmas. It's a short and sweet book.

A little snow, a lot of love, just the right person.
Isaac isn’t the holiday type. He’s more sarcasm than sparkle, more retreat than reach. But when Tig starts planning their first Christmas together, Isaac sees how much it means to him, and he’s not about to sit back and phone it in. Gift lists, tree shopping, family chaos, and sweaters for chickens? If it makes Tig smile, he’s in. Even if it scares the hell out of him.
Tig’s loved Isaac with quiet steadiness from the start. But love doesn’t always mean ease. Isaac struggles to believe he deserves the kind of care Tig offers so easily, and Tig’s doing everything he can to show him they’re building something real. From late-night confessions to new traditions, Tig keeps showing up, proving that love lives in the small moments.
As snow falls over Foggy Basin, the town leans into holiday warmth with community dinners and quiet celebrations. Isaac and Tig are figuring out where they belong, with each other and in the life they’re making together. It’s messy, honest, and full of heart. When you stop pretending not to care and start choosing love every day, everything changes.
Both men grow in their own ways. Isaac learns to let down his guard and lean into connection. Tig, once used to standing alone, learns what it means to be loved back just as fiercely. What starts as playful and low-key deepens into a partnership built on trust, intention, and the kind of love that stays.
A steamy, age gap, small town holiday MM romance filled with cozy chaos, heartfelt gifts, and quiet emotional growth, exploring love, vulnerability, personal growth, family connection, community support, and belonging. It’s about showing up, choosing love even when it’s hard, and turning ordinary moments into something lasting.
The Elevator Pitch: A heartfelt and steamy MM holiday romance where love shows up in the quiet moments and everyday choices. With snow falling, families gathering, and emotions running deep, two men learn what it really means to build something lasting. Full of charm, heat, and just enough chaos to keep things real.
In Foggy Basin, Tig is brimming with excitement for Christmas, eager to buy presents and decorate the house with his boyfriend Isaac. While Tig’s enthusiasm is boundless, Isaac — new to holiday traditions — is determined to make the season magical for him, even if it means diving into tree decorating, shopping, and a few surprises of his own. With snow promised for the second year in a row, the town buzzes with anticipation. Amidst love, laughter, and a handful of responsibilities to manage, Tig and Isaac are ready to create their best holiday yet — one filled with joy, romance, and the promise of shared traditions.
I liked this short story about love, celebration, and the magic of building holiday memories together. It was nice to read a little more about some of the characters in Foggy Basin but the story felt that the two men making memories wasn't enough to make this story have a lot of depth of emotions and feelings. This was an MM story with mature content.
This warm and sweet book is part of the multi-author Foggy Basin Season 2 series. This is the short and cute story depicting Tig and Isaac's first Christmas together. They are each putting pressure on themselves to find the perfect gift for the one that they love. We also get the added benefit of catching up with Hudson and Jack. A magical small town Christmas. Another great book by this author.

Christmas is just around the corner and Jack is getting the store ready for purchases he's sure the town will want. That of course means Hudson is hiding whilst Issac and Tig are roped in to help.
Issac loves the idea of Christmas, he usually spends it with Jack and his huge family but this year is different, this year he can spend it with Tig and once they work out Tig's family won't be coming they can make plans for what they want to do. Oh and for the gifts they want to buy, including chicken jumpers! It's the gifts for one another they are stuck on though everything under the tree would suggest otherwise!
Popping back to Foggy Basin is always a delight. The characters are so honest and real, the antics so much fun and the emotions so real. Christmas in Foggy basin is another excuse for them all to celebrate and this year it is a chance for Issac to really settle into the festivities with the man he is coming to love. Adorable.

This was a sweet addition to BL Maxwell's Foggy Basin stories. I have to say, it was much too short. But I get greedy when I visit this small town and Jack and Isaac and their forever loves. It's Isaac and Tig's first Christmas together (totally not counting the hook-up from last season). And the holiday starts with a bang. In typical Jack insanity, he snags them to help with rearranging the hardware store for his First Big Black Friday Sale since the reno and it's going to be the "best ever". Neither his partner nor his bestie can say no to him and poor Tig gets roped in. Two houses to decorate, Isaac's first live tree, and creating new Christmas traditions. Isaac angsts over the perfect gift for his lover while it seems Tig is getting him everything he glances at. There's snow for Christmas and they each got the either the perfect gifts. (Not gonna lie, it felt like the author was setting up for a Gift of the Magi scenario. So glad to be wrong).

Having adored the earlier books in the Foggy Basin series, this little festive instalment felt like an absolute treat. Tig and Isaac’s first Christmas together is exactly the cosy, heart-warming slice of life I hoped for. Tig’s excitement is infectious with his enthusiasm for decorations, presents, and traditions practically leaps off the page, and watching Isaac quietly pull out all the stops to make the holiday magical for him is genuinely sweet.
Because I already knew and loved these two, seeing them settle into the softer moments of their relationship felt especially rewarding. Their attempts to build new traditions, figure out what “Christmas together” looks like, and balance joy with a few small challenges makes the story feel wonderfully authentic.
It’s a short read, but charming, warm, and full of the affection that’s made this series so easy to love. A perfect little holiday visit back to Foggy Basin.

I loved this book! It’s Christmas time in Foggy Basin and it’s the first one Isaac and Tig will be spending together as a couple. I love how the two try to find the perfect gifts for each other, spend time helping Jack and Hudson at Nuts and Bolts and find ways to make the holiday special for themselves as a couple. We get to run into some wonderful friends from this amazing small town and it makes for a perfect holiday tale!.

This is Foggy Basin Season Two. While it can be read as a standalone reading the previous book will help understand the characters better and provide maximum enjoyment.
The plot was pretty straightforward. World building continues to excel and impress. The characters drove the storyline and they were so very appealing and likeable and perfect for each other. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

I absolutely loved the connection between Isaac and Tig. They both are perfect for each other and just had to work through some issues from before to end up together. The love and chemistry they share is truly incredible and it’s definitely something I hope to find someday. I definitely recommend this book to everyone who loves mm holiday romance stories especially when they are from BL Maxwell.

Hot chocolate with marshmallow, happy! Tig and Isaac are showing their love for each other by trying to make the Holidays the best, the most festive, the most Christmassy ever to make their guy happy. Totally sweet, absolutely delightful! BL, creates the nicest characters and I truly wish this story was longer. Nicely done, fun cover art. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Isaac and Tig first Christmas as a couple was so sweet and endearing. There're surprises, lots of gifts, time spent with friends, magical moments together, happiness and meaningful memories captured for a lifetime.
We're back in Foggy Basin and it's Tig and Isaac's first Christmas together. They're both agonizing over finding the right gift. We get some cameos from other characters, Foggy Basin itself is depicted beautifully, and soon the magic of the holidays is celebrated.
Thank you for the book; here is my honest opinion: Cute and simple. Tig and Isaac spend their first Christmas together, with lots of fretting over gifts and building their own holiday traditions. Nice couple and a sweet way to spend an hour.

This is Tig and Isaac’s first Christmas together. The story is short and sweet as they decide what to get each other, decorate and help at the hardware store. Very heartwarming and shows how Foggy Basin helps those in need.
Isaac's Holiday is part of the Foggy Basin series and can be read as a standalone. I loved this short story, just a great holiday read. It's a great look into Tig and Isaac's Christmas and how a couple find a way to make it work even if they have differing ideas.
Isaac and Tig find that being together on Christmas is all that they could ask for. Spending time with family and friends makes them realize being together is the most important. Nice book!.

This is a cute and charming page-turner. This is Isaac's and Tag's first Christmas together and they're trying to figure out how they want to spend it. They think of different ways but in the end they realize that being together is all they need. I really enjoyed this book.
I absolutely loved this. I always wonder what happens after the story ends and this was a perfect look into the future from some of my favorite characters.
This is a lovely little holiday short, returning us to Foggy Basin, a small town that’s remarkably inclusive and accepting. We first met Isaac in Maxwell’s ‘Nuts and Bolts,’ which featured Hudson and Jack. Isaac is Jack’s former best-friend-with-benefits. Isaac and Tig met at the end of ‘Nuts and Bolts Holiday,’ when Tig returns to Foggy Basin. A year later, Isaac and Tig are a couple, staying at each other’s homes every night and shopping for Christmas trees and decorations for both houses. Isaac is a little wary of Tig meeting his large extended family – and Tig is insecure about finding the perfect Christmas gift for Isaac. There’s plenty of interaction between these two and Jack and Hudson. Maxwell hits the age gap trope well, with Isaac loving the “hot older man” that Tig is. The warm atmosphere of community permeates the story, which is a definite plus.
