ARC Review: Shoperapy and the Dubai Dilemma

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5 stars

Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude once again to Whimsy Words PR for this review opportunity!! Thank you for giving me the chance to review this sequel 🥹

Shoperapy’s sequel delivered once again with a lighthearted story full of joy and happiness as well as new characters. Shoperapy and the Dubai Dilemma follows the perspectives of four women, Ellie, Sara, Lily and Amy, who have their differences at first but team up together and work through their individual relationship struggles as well as personal development through their love of shopping and womanhood.

The new characters, especially Lily and Amy, were such a breath of fresh air alongside Ellie as they navigate their individual journeys in the pursuit of love. I loved how Ellie still persisted with her best efforts throughout the story in order to help the two women be successful in their love stories as well as finding love herself with a mysterious man from Dubai.

Ellie’s blog takes a different approach in this story but still also shows huge significance in how her character develops and I feel like it acts as such a pivotal point at the beginning and end of the story. I loved its effortless implementation by Scott once again and how important it was throughout the story.

I’d like to thank Stephanie Scott and Whimsy Words PR again for the opportunity to review the sequel of this wonderful book. I hope others enjoy the book as much as I did 🤍

Arc Review of Shoperapy and the Dubai Dilemma. I received this ARC by whimsywordspr and the author

⭐⭐⭐⭐

I really enjoyed reading this second installment to Shoperapy. It kept the same vibes as the first book and I love that the main plot to the story is the solid friendship between Ellie and all the women that she has found through the joys of her shop. And we had two new characters to get to know through the story too!

You can guarantee that the book still keeps the same warm energy, fun moments and the right amount of "omg" moments.

I recommend everyone to read both books, especially if they just want that feel good escapism that comes from a bunch of women who are just an amazing bunch of friends and who love each other all in equal measure!

I would love somewhere to go like this shop! Everyone needs an Ellie in their lives!

Thank you whimsywordspr and stephaniescott_author for this ARC 🩷

I love the premise of this book, and the whole focus on female empowerment, friendships and community. I loved reading each characters different backstory, and how their lives all interlink.

However, this book just wasn't for me unfortunately. I felt like there were too many ideas and storylines going on at once, and they were not really explored enough.
Despite each character having a hint of their own personality, they all seemed to react in the same way in the end. (Not necessarily a bad thing, everyone just seemed to be happy about everything after 30 seconds of disappointment)

I received an advanced readers copy of this, and the poor editing made it difficult to read at times. I'm not sure if this impacted my feelings, but as there were whole paragraphs repeated, with one or 2 words different, it did interrupt my flow.
I think it would also help if the timelines were a little clearer.

Overall, I think if you liked the first Shoperapy book, then you will enjoy this one. It is definitely a fun and easy read for the right audience.

I appreciate the opportunity to read this book, and look forward to following others thoughts on it following publication day tomorrow (01/02/26)

Oh this book is honestly such a hug in a book, it's Fun, feel good and a joy to read! It was great to meet some of the characters again and then find out about all the new ones.

Hello Mr Mystery for Ellie! Finally our girl gets a some love!

Only Ellie could bring someone she met on holiday home with her!

As always Ellies positivity, love and care for everyone shines through even if it doesn't always go how she meant it to. 🙊 I mean clearly Ellie has a face everyone can trust!

Noah and Amy had me laughing out loud, and the girls lifting each other up the friendships are absolutely fabulous in this, and with a mix of drama its perfect to lighten though cold wet days!

Another installment of Ellie Edwards and her wonderful world. I am so happy that I was chosen to receive an ARC after loving Ellie in Book One! This is the perfect, easy, anytime read for people of all ages.

A strong storyline of a woman's world across four women who live for shopping and gossip - with a sprinkle of therapy thrown in for good measure 😉 Will they find the outfit? Will they fine the man? Is it finally time for Ellie to find 'the one'?

If you're a fan of female empowerment, a passion for fashion, this is perfect!

Shoperapy is so easy and fun to read, expanding Ellie's world with three lively additions: Sara, Lily, and Amy.
Together, they shop, scheme, and untangle messy love lives amid Dubai's stunning backdrop.Tensions bubble early, but fashion fixes and honest chats ignite change Lily's edge, Amy's glow, and Ellie's clever nudges make it click. That elusive Dubai guy layers perfectly into her story.
Effortless and captivating, with the blog threading it all neatly.

A huge thank you to whimsy words pr Whimsy for this review opportunity 💞

Perfect follow up to Shoperapy. Loved that the same characters were still there and a few new characters too.
Still on Team V. An easy read which when I started reading couldn’t put down as wanted to know how Ellie’s romance worked out.
Another feel-good fun book about complicated relationships and very strong friendships.

The second book in the series Shoperapy and did not disappoint.
Pros: Ellie (obviously), friendships, female empowerment, romances and the fashion. Found this book as good as book one with a bit more humour.
Cons: Shoperapy is inside a book and not in my town 😂
If you loved book one you will love this too.

Was lucky enough to read both of Stephanie’s books and loved the follow up. Read this book in one day and was a good follow up to Shoperapy. Ellie continues to build her friends up and found this book had more humour. My favourite part being the orange jumpsuits.
Recommended for anyone looking for a light pick me up read.
