One taste of her defiance, and we’re pucking ruined.
I made a deal with a monster. My body for my brother’s safety. Simple… until it wasn’t.
Because when I need protection from that monster, I fall straight into another monster’s den— The Reapers.
They took me in. Saved me. Marked me. Then decided I was theirs.
Now Koa wants to own me. Revan wants to save me. Atticus just wants to watch me break.
Three men born of violence, and I’m the girl stupid enough to play with fire.
The deal was supposed to end when the blood dried. Instead, it ignited a war— between them, within me, around us.
And when the smoke clears, I’m not sure who’s left standing… or who’s telling me pucking lies.
Tell Me Pucking Lies is a steamy dark reverse harem hockey romance that can be read as a standalone. It contains themes that may be triggering to some. The RH begins at the midpoint of the book. Ends with a HEA. Enjoy!
Plot: 4/5 • Spice: 4/5 ———-> I liked this way more than I probably should have, but I am such a sucker for RHs.
Our FMC, Lexi, goes off to the same college her older brother is currently attending. When they finally see each other, because of course he’s dodging her, it absolutely devastates her. Axel is dealing and using. He’s being beaten because he owes money.
What does Lexi do? she finds his dealer, Koa, and offers him a deal. Whatever he wants for him to release her brother. With some bartering they come to an agreement. Koa fucks up. He goes to report to his step-dad who makes him take drugs. Drugs are a deal breaker for Lexi and she calls off everything. Even though Koa has shown he truly cares of her. She’s done. She runs to the arms of The Reapers.
Atticus and Reven, help “assist” Lexi in hiding her after she’s ran and stolen Kia’s car. Of course, they’re instant attraction between her and them. 😉
Lexi is officially sleeping with all of them. Buuuuuttttt they’re all helping her to stay alive from the people who are out to kidnap and kill her and her brother. They all may have ulterior motives, but eventually it all comes to fruition.
This is a hockey RH. Hockey is kinda the back burner until the last couple chapters and then it becomes more of the foreground.
These men are protective, over bearing, somewhat controlling, and head over heels for her. Lexi goes from a sheltered little girl to a bad ass who takes care of herself. This was such a fun ride. There’s murder, hangs, rivals, enemies to lovers, ex step-brothers, college setting, hockey, reverse harem, and a HEA. Worth the read if you’re into all those things in one standalone. 😉💛🏒
Tell Me Pucking Lies was an easy, quick read that felt cute and fun overall. The blend of hockey and mafia elements was… interesting 😅—at times it felt like hockey was thrown in just for the hell of it, but somehow it still worked enough to keep me turning pages.
I really enjoyed the back-and-forth between the characters and the sense of mystery woven throughout the story. The tension kept things moving, even when some of the twists were fairly predictable. On the flip side, a few moments came completely out of left field, which was a little jarring but also kind of entertaining in its own way.
Despite its flaws, I found myself enjoying the ride. It’s not a book I’d take too seriously, but it was entertaining and engaging enough to finish quickly. If you’re in the mood for a mafia-style romance with a hockey twist and want something light, fast, and a little chaotic, I’d definitely recommend giving it a shot
This was a super hot story. Very sexy and steamy in parts. Couldn’t give it the full 5 stars though. The beginning had so many typos and grammatical errors, it was tough to read. It also flipped between scenes or situations without notice and that left it extremely hard to decipher and keep up. It definitely took away from the overall story. The second half was better about it, almost like it was written by a different person. It could’ve been so much better if it were ironed out better. Still not a bad read overall.
Honestly, I really liked the beginning, but then Lexi became a character that I didn’t like. Atticus was a terrible character who was cocky and expected Lexi to fall right into bed because of his looks. Of course she did. She played favorites and Atticus was hers. I felt was treated the worst and felt that the author didn’t even like him. It was a fragmented RH relationship and it wasn’t a great HEA.
I really enjoyed this one. There was a good bit of character development and the spice and plot were awesome. The spice was about a 4/5🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ and plot was a 4/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Tropes include: hockey romance, RH/Why choose, dark, college romance. As it is a dark romance please sure to check TW’s. TW’s include: drüg use, drüg dealing, mürder, k!dnapping, d3ath of a parent, drüg add!ction, forced drügging. If you want a good dark why choose hockey romance this is definitely the one.
Beginning of the story was great, once the RH starts it’s gets rushed and the story kinda falters after that. Should have left it between Koa and Lexi and built on that dynamic.
