Using software-defined networking, you can manage the network address space, isolation, and routing without having to make changes to the physical underlying architecture.

You will start your journey by understanding the fundamentals of Hyper-V Network Virtualization and how to configure System Center 2012 R2 Virtual Machine Manager to support it. You will learn about the Windows Server Gateway role for Hyper-V Virtual Networks and the different implementation options.

Finally, you will see how the Hyper-V Extensible Switch can help protect Virtual Machines by using Hyper-V Extensible Port ACLs.

Hyper-V Network Virtualization Cookbook ...One of the most challenging things I found getting to grips with Hyper-V was configuring software defined networking. Having come from a VMware background I found that Microsofts way is very different for HyperV. Introducing this very handy cookbook that came in handy in real work situation when I was tasked several new VLAN into our HyperV clusters. I'd recommend this book for similar VMWare IT Pros who are looking to develop their knowledge ofHyper-V Network Virtualization Cookbook HyperV.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was very detailed and took you through the steps to building your own cloud environment. What i did like about this particular book was that when it came to the network virtualization section, it described how to build the Gateway/NAT device not only via Template (which is the way it is mentioned in most Microsoft literature and can some times seem confusing at best!) but also manually which was a great help. All in all i would definitely recommend this book

''I liked this book. He explains how to clear the network under Hyper-V virtualization.
There is clear explanation, with the images and screenshots for better understanding.
"I like parties" How it Works "and How to di it".
Configurations are explained via the GUI and via Powershell.
No need to have great skills for used this book.
This book allows to have good knowledge on the virtualization of the network under Hyper-V''

I really like about this book is the author has done an excellent job of explaining all very nicely. This book would be useful to any Hyper-V user on virtually any version of Hyper-V because it explains why you would make certain choices rather than walking through a step by step series of screen shots. If you're just getting started with Hyper-V, this is an excellent book.
