Give me a college football romance and I will eat it up any day. This story was no exception. Silas and Brooke are it.
Silas is down bad from the very beginning. Brooke is with the wrong man and he is going to do everything in his power to make her his. She needs to be treated with the love and respect that she deserves and he knows that he is the man to do it. He is such a sweetheart, walking green flag of a man and I just loved his character so much. He is not afraid to go after what he wants and what he wants is Brooke.
Brooke struggles with anxiety and panic attacks from past triggers. I loved how real and raw this part of her story is and Ava did such a good job representing that. Silas is the calm to her storm. He grounds her and makes her feel safe and seeing how they are together is just so sweet and heartwarming.
What to expect: College football Opposites attract Dating the wrong person (her) Love at first sight (him) Brothers friend/ teammates
I think this series just keeps getting better! I can’t get enough of this group of characters. This friends to lovers, teammates sister was a great addition!
I have been so excited for Silas’ story and oh boy did this man shine! Ava did such a wonderful job with both he and Brooke’s story. I enjoyed every moment I got to spend with them and didn’t want it to be over!
Silas is an amazing character, the way he is swoony, sweet, sexy and head over heals for Brooke is the best. He isn’t shy about his feelings, treats her like the queen she is and doesn’t hesitate to tell and show her everything she deserves.
Brooke was a beautiful character, she had my heart. Seeing her deal with trauma from her childhood hurt but also had cheering her on the whole time. I loved her growth and self discovery throughout the book. When she is told she should let loose and do something for herself, she sure does! In a epic way too! I felt so proud of her, especially when she opened up to Silas and all the possibilities being with him has.
Silas and Brooke are just perfect for eachother. I enjoyed what they bring out of one another, but also how they just fit in the best ways. They are adorable, fun, playful and spicy! Seeing them discover all they can be together with love and support made me happy.
There was a lot these two had to work through. The story was paced well and had a little bit of everything that kept me fully engaged and excited to see how it would all turn out!

**Thank you to the author for the copy of this book. This review and its opinions are my own
Falling in love with Silas was made easy. I couldn’t get enough of him. This man was completely gone for Brooke in all the best ways, no hesitation, no games, just absolute certainty that she deserves more than what she’s settling for. And he wasn’t wrong.
Watching him step up, speak his feelings, and show her what real care looks like made him an instant favorite. He is what we want in real life. He is soft, steady, and unapologetically all in with her, and I loved every second of it. The way that Silas being her safe place, her grounding force, and her biggest supporter was everything for me.
The way that Ava wrote Brooke’s story just hits. In the most honest way in my opinion. Her anxiety and panic attacks are written with so much care. It all felt so real. Seeing her navigate past trauma while learning to choose herself felt raw and empowering.
Her father broke my heart at times for Brooke. But I 100% get his motives as a parent. She is young and has never do anything out of the ordinary. I GET IT!
I can’t wait to see what comes next from Ava. Her books are my absolute favorite.

Thank you so incredibly much Ava Sutton for allowing me to read a copy of the eARC.
Kinda boring. I sorta lost interest when the FMC mentioned she has only ever had sex with her ex, only had bad sex, and has ever had an orgasm. Silas was cute tho. Just really hate an inexperienced FMC.

I’m hopeless when it comes to beautiful prose that makes the world quiet around me, but pair that with a nice dose of love at first sight, spine-tingling steam, and the structure of love that’s etched onto your heart, and I’m yours forever! Ava Sutton's LOCKDOWN CORNER hit me like an outstanding goal-line hit, it was flawless, vicious, and Ava Sutton at its finest!!! Give me a college football romance, and I'm in, this one is wonderful from the very first chapters, Vegas chaos, a surprise marriage, and two people on the brink of their futures raise the emotions right away, Silas' personality was delicious and well-developed, his love was magnificent, thoughtful, and addictive to witness! The suspense is about whether life will allow them to be together, with that construction, every moment is riveting and poignant and knows how to addict every cell your brain! . Silas is this kind of MMC who, in the greatest way possible, wrecks expectations, he is handsome, intelligent, grounded, and unapologetically emotionally available, it's compulsive in the best way to watch him repeatedly select Brooke! He knows what he wants and acts with purpose, so he doesn't need to be misled, his trust in himself is based on tolerance and respect, each dialogue among them feels sophisticated and well-deserved as a result! Ava Sutton lets him shine because he's a walking green flag!!! . Interestingly, Brooke is the spiritual center of attention and her history has tremendous significance, the details she shares of her anxiety and panic attacks are honest and layered, you understand the worry she experiences, her regulation, and her bravery it takes to simply turn up! Silas becomes her repose, but she never uses him as a walking stick, and that proportion is significant! It's powerful and wonderful to watch her make room for herself, it's amazing and long overdue when she finally makes her own decision, her development is tender, courageous, and utterly irresistible! . As a couple, Silas and Brooke are undoubtedly spicy, vibrant, and thoughtful, .aking the leap from a teammate's sister, and what results from an unsuccessful relationship all happen naturally! The conversation is interesting, the flow is sharp, and the emotional beats are powerful, this group of friends is still outstanding, bringing fun and heart where it's needed! It's hard to put this down once it begins to flap around, so I read it all at once! I absolutely loved it, and what happens in Vegas undoubtedly haunts them home, among the best in the Walker U series, LOCKDOWN CORNER scored a 11/10!!!
✨ARC REVIEW✨ 4.5⭐️ I was so excited for Brooke and Silas and this one was EVERYTHING I wanted and more!! Silas has always been infatuated with Brooke but she’s been in a relationship so she’s off limits. But that won’t stop him from showing her just how horrible the guy really is for her. He wants his shot so when he’s sees his opportunity he takes it. One reckless night in Vegas and now they are married and trying to figure out what the rest of their lives will look like. Silas knows she’s so much more than the front that she puts on for everyone and he wants her to see that. All he needs is her to give him a chance so he can prove to her just how good they are together. But with his career in football heating up and her years left in college will they be able to face it all and make the marriage work?
I have absolutely adored this series and these two were no exception!! This was such a fun take on the married in Vegas trope! Silas is so so good to Brooke and it just made me so happy seeing the ways he stood up for her. He wants her to know her own strength and is only there to help build her up. Love all the cameos from the other characters in this series…especially Beck and his protective big brother ways!! They both deserved some happiness in their life and finding it with each other was even better!!

Do you love a tattoo'd, football playing hottie who wears glasses and is down bad for his best friend's little sister. Thought so- read this book.
I have been so lucky to be able to love all the books from this authors FIRST EVER COMPLETE SERIES. Honestly, each and every book she writes gets better- and better than the last. I have been looking forward to Silas and Brooks story since we first met him. You could read between the lines and no this man was going to fall so hard and fast for Brook Linson- and boy did he.
The book starts out with the FMC being in a relationship with an absolute tool. She struggles with letting others down, so instead of just ending things with him- she try's to find the good, but there just isn't any. Silas puts himself in Brooks orbit whenever he gets a chance, and it's no secret he wants to give the thing between them a go. One night in Vegas changes everything when she finally chooses her and does exactly what she wants for once.
She's married and instead of letting her give it all up, Silas asks for an amount of time to prove that he wants this- her- and OMG ya'll. He is so swooney. Like, I'm so in love with him.
I hope you take a chance on this author, on this series, ON THIS BOOK. Cause she's just getting started ya'll.
Lockdown Corner is an absolute knockout of a college football romance! Silas and Brooke’s connection is effortless, fun, and deeply moving, keeping me glued to the pages. I love a down bad MMC, and Silas fits the bill perfectly. He's unapologetically devoted and patient as he plays the long game to win Brooke over, even while she navigates a difficult relationship and her own people-pleasing tendencies. My favorite aspect though? I love the found family vibes between the previous characters we've gotten to know throughout the series. They really played some instrumental parts in this book, and I'd recommend reading the books in order to get its full effect.
Beyond the whirlwind romance, this book stands out by shining a raw and beautiful light on mental health awareness. Watching Brooke work through her childhood trauma and anxiety was deeply emotional, and Silas serves as the perfect steady anchor, meeting her with unwavering support and becoming her ultimate safe space. While I’m sad to see this series end, I can't wait to see what this author has coming for us next!
So sad to be writing this review, this book was so disappointing. I was not able to finish it. Let’s talk about the non-consent kiss for a second in front of her boyfriend, that was the weirdest scene I’ve ever read in a book and no one thought it was wrong of him to do that. I’ve also never read a married in Vegas, Trope, where they were completely sober and she randomly decides to marry someone that she just got the phone number a day before it just made no sense. This book made no sense. I also hated that she continuously brought up how she was inexperienced and how bland her sex life was with her ex.
My only complaint is that this was too short. I could've read 5,000 pages on Brooke and Silas. 🙃 I wanted more. More Silas, more Brooke - just more. I loved them! Silas did not hold back how down bad he was for Brooke, and I was eating it up! I honestly didn't want this to end. This series has me in such a chokehold.

Brooke and Silas are an absolutely charming couple. You are never left in doubt how the big hearted Silas feels about Brooke. He is patient, understanding, and an all-around decent guy. Brooke, who suffers from anxiety, also suffers from being a people pleaser and bending or ignoring her own desires and priorities in favour of others. Her father and brother love her deeply but are unaware of her struggles. This has been a good read, with little angst. I did, however, find Brooke's decision, though spontaneous, somewhat unbelievable. A sweet HEA for a sweet couple. 💖💖💖💖

That boy is trouble with a capital T. And I like it. A little too much.
“I knew you were trouble.”
My wife. My home. My forever.
All I can see is you. You’re so beautiful. And mine.
"Listen, I married you. I may have made the decision lightly but I take my commitments seriously and this is very real for me. I wasn't lying about that. I'm not going anywhere."
"YOU'VE BEEN DATING THE WRONG KIND OF GUYS."
I'M IN LOVE WITH HER. Completely. IN A WAY THAT DOESN'T ASK PERMISSION OR WAIT FOR GOOD TIMING. IN A WAY THAT'S SETTLED ITSELF INTO MY BONES WITHOUT ME NOTICING.
I DIDN'T MARRY HIM BECAUSE HE WON A GAME OR BECAUSE WE WERE CAUGHT UP IN THE EXCITEMENT. I married him because of who he is when the noise dies down.
THE WHITE WEDDING CHAPEL WE FOUND SMELLS LIKE ROSES, CHAMPAGNE, AND BAD DECISIONS. AND YEAH, THIS MIGHT BE CRAZY out I've never felt surer about anything in my life.
No one kisses me like you do.
My husband Silas.
I get to call you my wife.
HE'S BECOME MY SAFE SPACE. THE PERSON MY BODY RELAXES AROUND BEFORE MY BRAIN CAN CATCH UP.
I have an idea…. Let’s get married.
Today I got the trophy. Tonight. I’m gonna get the girl.
He makes me feel free. I like this version of me that I am with him.
I’m in love with her. Completely. In a way that doesn’t ask permission or wait for good timing. In a way that’s settled itself into my bones with out me noticing.
I’m gonna make this girl fall hard, and never let her go.
She carries a quiet strength that doesn t ask to be noticed, and I don't think she realizes how rare that is.
Sweet dreams cupcake, Night trouble.
I want to be the first thing you touch in the morning and the last thing you taste at night
I choose you, every down. Drive. Every season.
I couldn’t wait for Silas and Brooke’s story! He came out of no where, and I loved every minute of it! The way Silas falls so hard for Brooke and he wanted everyone to know… and she has a boyfriend. Silas is patient, waiting for her and being her friend. Supporting her. A slow burn romance. And when brooke tries to backtrack and push him away Silas was steady and there for her. When things get rough Silas fights for Brooke instead of walking away. Silas let her know he’s always there for her, no matter what life throws at them. I loved Silas how he supported brooke and loved with his whole heart! And Brooke seeing her grow and work through her anxiety and her trauma and it was written beautifully. You definitely need to check this series out! What a beautiful ending

Firstly thank you to the wonderful Ava for the opportunity to read her book Lockdown Corner. Which is the fifth book in the Walker University Stallions series. This series honestly has me in such a chokehold. I have been loving every book and this was no different. I never want this series to end.
Lockdown Corner follows Silas and Brooke. When we last left off Brooke was in a relationship with Mr Douche (aka Eli) whom happens to be her first real boyfriend. Her brother and friends don’t really approve of him, but they tolerate him for her sake. Silas has a secret crush on Brooke and just quietly watches from the sidelines. One afternoon Brooke is heading to a basketball game with her boyfriend. Silas gets the wonderful idea to attend as well, he drags a few of the guys along. While there they sit directly behind Brooke and her boyfriend. Eli isn’t happy about this. Suddenly during the game the kiss cam lands on Brooke and Eli. But Eli is annoyed because Brookes guy friends are behind them, he leaves her hanging… Silas is furious at this.. He does something reckless that no expects… Will this change there friendship for good or for bad? Will Brooke put it together that Silas has feelings? Stay tuned….
These two have such a wonderful chemistry, amazing dynamic, great banter and Silas will have you swooning and melting into a puddle of goo. This man is a tattooed god and the spice is hot.
If your looking for your next football romance look no further then Avas newest book Lockdown Corner.

This is the 5th both in the Walker University Stallions, and the last four this series. I hate to say goodbye to this group of friends, but can't wait to see where the journey goes from here... Although I'm pretty sure it's going to Liam, since we got Snow Blitz previously. But this is the long awaited book of Silas & Brooke and I love every page of it!

We're finally getting Silas and Brooke's book, and I've been waiting for this couple since we've read about Silas' crush on Brooke all throughout this series. Well it's a lot deeper for him than we realized. The boy is in love and is going to stop at nothing to make the girl his.
He is such a caring sweetheart. I love Silas' character throughout this whole book. Once he saw an opportunity, he took it and I love reading that part.
Brooke is a sweet girl that struggles in live with anxiety and panic attacks. We read a little of what happened in Beck's book. In case you didn't know this, Brooke is his little sister. Certain triggers at her off in her anxiety.
Brooke is dating this guy, Eli, who is not good to her. It's just the way he treats her and the things he says to her even when others are around to hear it...ick
When these 2 get together, ah, I just live them as a couple. Silas is her calm and is there for her in every way. He shows her how she's supposed to be treated.
The spice is nice and fits perfectly with this couple. If you love the tropes listed above, this is definitely a book for you to read.
I hate this series is coming to an end, but I'm pretty sure we're moving up in the football world and going to Liam's story cont... if you haven't read Snow Blitz,I recommend that book before Liam's book comes out. It's a cliffhanger story that starts with him over Christmas.
I inhaled Lockdown Corner like it was the fourth quarter and my heart was the ball. Ava Sutton had me HOOKED. This book is messy in the best way. Emotional, swoony, slightly reckless, and absolutely drenched in chemistry.
Silas and Brooke… whew. The tension alone could power a stadium. Teammate’s little sister is already dangerous territory, but add years of quiet longing, unspoken understanding, and that one wild Vegas night? I was gone. Silas doesn’t just see Brooke, he knows her. The strength she hides. The weight she carries. The way she’s been protected so much she was never really chosen. And the fact that he’s been choosing her all along? Stop it. I’m unwell.
The Vegas marriage trope never gets old for me, but this one hits harder because the timing is so wrong and the feelings are so right. His career taking off. Her future still fragile and forming. Everyone ready to call it a mistake. And Silas saying, nah, I don’t want easy, I want her. Sir. Immediate book boyfriend status. 🏈🔥
Brooke is not a pushover. I loved her quiet resilience, her softness paired with backbone, and the way she grows into herself without losing who she is. Their chemistry is off the charts, the kind that crackles in small moments and explodes in big ones. Every glance. Every almost-touch. Every “we shouldn’t but we are anyway” choice.
This book made me feel everything. I smiled, I stressed, I swooned, I yelled at my Kindle, and I finished it with that satisfied, full-heart feeling that only a really good sports romance gives you. Ava Sutton absolutely delivered.
If you love football romance, Vegas chaos, forced proximity, and a man who wants to lock it down instead of running away… pick this up immediately. I loved them. I loved this story. Five stars, no notes, still thinking about Silas and Brooke. 💙✨
Brooke Linson was the girl who football player Silas Arbuckle couldn't have. Why? Because she was his teammates little sister and because she already had a boyfriend. But what happens when she wasn't tied anymore by the guy she was dating with? Well, things went a bit wild and they ended up getting married after having too much fun in Vegas. Booke wanted to just leave behind all her insecurities and fears and to enjoy to the fullest the time there. She never thought that she would end up being married to the man who was always so good to her. What will they do now?
Even though this story was mostly fun, it had a more sensitive side to it, focusing the on mental health of the characters and on being strong enough to fight against those dark thoughts. Brooke was such a fighter, never wanting to look weak, trying her best to overcome her struggles. Silas was such a sweetheart, being a great support for her, even when she was in some awkward moments. I loved how he put everything aside and followed his heart, even though he was sure he would have to suffer some consequences for his boldness. I just adored how cute Silas and Brooke were together and how protective of her he was. They had such an insane chemistry and you could see that even before that crazy night in Vegas.
I had such a great time following this insane journey of Silas and Booke and their unplanned marriage, enjoying to the fullest that shift from their initial friendship to that super cute love story.
Thank you so much Ava and Grey's Promo for accepting me for this e-ARC.

ARC Review: 4.5⭐️ Lockdown Corner is book 5 in the Walker University Stallions series featuring Silas Arbuckle & Brooke Linson.
Silas is a football player for the Stallions and he lives in a house with some of his teammates and their girlfriends. One of his former teammates Beck has a little sister Brooke who frequently hangs out around the football house with Beck’s fiancee. Silas has had a crush on Brooke for a while, but since she was in a relationship he’s never acted on his feelings.
Brookes relationship is a dud and she begins to feel like her boyfriend doesn’t care for her. He invites her to a basketball game but then also invites his friends so he’s not really paying attention to her. They get put on the kiss cam but he tries to avoid kissing her, so Silas who is sitting behind them intervenes,
Afterwards, Silas tells Brooke she needs to break up with her boyfriend, and after much consideration she follows through with it before going home for the holidays.
Later, they all travel to Vegas for the teams championship game, and after they win they all go out to celebrate. His teammates and their girls all start to leave and eventually its just Silas & Brooke left so they out to explore the city.
While they’re out on the town, Brooke decides they should get married so off to the chapel they go. The next morning when her brother finds out, all heck breaks loose, and her family tries to convince them to have an annulment. Silas convinces her to give him until the draft to fall in love with him.
Will they fall head over heels for one another and stay together or have their marriage annulled and go on with their lives?
This story was so so fun and I really felt connected to Silas & Brooke. Brooke had a lot of demons in her past to manage and Silas was her biggest supporter. I really enjoy this series and I can’t wait for more!
"Next year, when the clock strikes midnight, it'll be my lips you'll e missing. I promise you that." -Silas
Brooke & Silas. She's dealing with being the one who doesn't cause trouble and doesn't need anything. He's the biomedical engineering major who also happens to be a college football star and he sees her. It seems like their relationship is intalust/love, but knowing that they have known each other for a long time and have been circling the same friend group - that means they know more about each other than maybe we see at first. And when they get married in Vegas on a whim, to me, it didn't seem so crazy. They're friends who get along so well and who are attracted to each other. People have married for worse so I was all in on their relationship and they proved that it was the right path!
Love these two main characters together (and apart) - they are both good friends, good people, and then good together. I love that they are portrayed as mature enough to be able to speak their feelings and their minds, can respect each other and their families/friends, and stand up for themselves. Silas' family is so amazing and accepting, and Brooke's family (her dad and brother specifically) are very protective, but luckily, have known Silas and didn't go too far.
This is the second Walker University Stallions book I have read - each can be read as a standalone and I'll be back for the others! I received a complimentary eARC and my review is voluntary. Thank you to the author and Wordsmith Publicity.

"You made a very spontaneous decision in a very loud moment in time." "I married him because of who he is when the noise dies down."
Silas came out of nowhere and somehow became one of the best book boyfriends in the series. He was completely head over heels for Brooke and never once tried to hide it from her or from anyone around them.
Brooke is used to being made small. She is a people pleaser who follows the rules, avoids conflict, and rarely speaks up for herself. She carries a lot of guilt from a painful childhood incident where her brother had to protect her from something terrible, and because of that, she feels like she has no right to make mistakes. So, when she is the one who suggests a spontaneous Vegas wedding with Silas, it feels wild, unexpected, and honestly one of the best decisions she could have made.
Silas does not just love her, he shows up for her. He validates her feelings, protects her, and looks for solutions instead of problems. A man with that level of emotional intelligence is always a win in my book.
My only small complaint is that the story felt a bit short, and Brooke’s character development felt slightly unfinished. I would not have minded a few more chapters of them falling in love and her finally finding peace after all the storms she has been carrying.
That said, if you are in the mood for a short college sports romance with a Vegas wedding, you should definitely give this one a try!
Thank you so much Ava and WordSmith Publicity for a copy of this ARC.
Lockdown Corner is the kind of romance that wraps tight around your emotions, blocks every exit, and keeps you captive until the very last page.
Once again, Ava Sutton delivers an unforgettable love story in the fifth outstanding installment of the Walker University Stallions series. From the moment the story begins, it locks you firmly in its grasp and refuses to let go. I loved Silas from the start—his personality instantly pulled me in, but it was the way he fell first for Brooke that completely stole my heart. His devotion is pure, unwavering, and impossibly swoon-worthy.
The prologue sets the emotional tone beautifully, and from there the story digs deep, unearthing all the feels. Even though Brooke’s brother has gone pro, her close bond with his fiancée—still studying at Walker—keeps her firmly connected to the Stallions and right in Silas’s orbit. What follows is a Vegas wedding that proves what happens in Vegas definitely doesn’t stay in Vegas.
But Lockdown Corner is so much more than a surprise marriage. It’s the story of a young woman carrying a past that will break your heart, and a man who has waited patiently for the woman he never believed he could have. Add in sizzling chemistry, emotional depth, and a hero who earns his book-boyfriend status page after page, and you have a romance that completely delivers.
Lockdown Corner is a reminder that the greatest love stories are built on patience, devotion, and the courage to finally claim what your heart has always known.
Lockdown Corner ( Walker University Stallions Book 5 ) ⭐️Friends to lovers ⭐️opposites attract ⭐️Brothers Best Friend ⭐️he falls first and hard ⭐️tattooed MMC Perfection absolutely perfection, an emotional rollercoaster that just sucks you right in from the very first page and makes you feel so many different emotions you won’t even see coming . Everything from being speechless to yelling outta pure frustration, to smiling and laughing then crying like a baby and rooting so freaking hard . Lockdown Corner is the 5th book in Ava’s (Walker University Stallions Series ) and there are no words just no perfect words to express how much I have loved every single second of it . Silas and Brooke oh my gosh these two were just everything together, from the second I met them I knew I was in so much trouble- they just grabbed onto my heart so tightly and refused to let go and yup I was a goner , falling hook line and sinker in love. I loved watching them go from friendship to so much more , I loved that both had flaws and struggles because that just made them that much more likable and relatable. All the witty banter and the off the charts chemistry whenever they were around each other , the angst and the humor , the family and friendships. Lockdown Corner was easily one of the best sports romances I’ve read this year
I devoured this book and Silas and Brooke are my new favorite Walker University couple. This book had some of my favorite things, a down bad MMC who wears glasses and has tattoos, an epic ‘F It’ moment involving a kiss cam on the Jumbotron, and a spontaneous Vegas wedding. Silas is determined to have it all, between entering the NFL draft and getting his wife to fall in love with him.
Silas has had feelings for Brooke for a while and when she finally brakes up with her boyfriend, he is ready to shoot his shot. While in Vegas celebrating the Walker University Stallions championship win, Brooke and Silas are hanging out and decide to go to one of the little white chapels and get married. When Silas and Brooke return to Walker U they have a lot to talk about, Silas ask Brooke to give him till the draft to show her how serious he is about their marriage. Silas definitely had a dirty talking mouth, but was also very caring and considerate with showing how much he was committed to their relationship. Brooke was nervous at first, but overtime she falls for Silas and he becomes her safe space to land. Brooke and Silas may have gotten married on a whim, but things become very real and they learn to work as a team, when it comes to figuring out their future. Who wouldn’t fall for a man with slutty glasses, a wicked smile, and tattoos.

Ava Sutton STRIKES again but an incredible 5 ⭐️ read! This was an incredible conclusion to her debut series that I will recommend for years to come! 👏🏽
Silas Arbuckle takes the crown as the swooniest Walker U boy in my opinion!! I was already a big fan of Silas when he was brought onto the team and introduced to the series, but the way this man was DOWN BAD for Brooke warmed not just my heart, but my whole body!! 🫠🫠 Brooke was such an admirable and relatable FMC! I want to applaud Ava for how beautiful she wrote Brooke’s struggle with anxiety and her journey in coping and therapy. 👏🏽 I rooted for this couple when it was teased in the last book, but from the first pages of this book, I knew Silas was going to THAT man that fought for his woman to show her the love she deserves!
It’s a bittersweet feeling saying goodbye to this OG Walker U crew, but Ava created such an incredible found family in this group! I adored how much they supported eachother, and especially Silas and Brooke through their story! Ava knocked it out of the park with each and every book in this series, and I cannot wait for what she has in store for us!!
A college romance? Any day of the week! And one I couldn’t put down—finished in a single day and absolutely deserving of all the stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ava Sutton has absolutely nailed this series, and I am fully here for every single Walker University football player. This book was no exception. Brooke is something special—yes, Beck’s little sister—but that’s not about to stop his former teammate, Silas from going after what he wants… and what he wants is Brooke. Brooke has always been cautious, carrying the weight of childhood trauma while stuck in a relationship with a boyfriend who’s clearly no good for her. After finally ending things, her therapist encourages her to let loose in Vegas after the bowl game—and let loose she does. Luckily for her, Silas is right there when she needs him most. But what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas… especially when it ends in marriage. Silas is open about his feelings—honest with Brooke, with himself, and with everyone around him. When he asks Brooke to give their marriage a real chance, how can she say no when she’s always had lingering feelings for him? With the NFL draft looming, the possibility of long distance ahead, and her father insisting the marriage was a mistake and pushing for an annulment, the question becomes: can Brooke and Silas make it work in the face of uncertainty and an unpredictable future?
I have been hoping and waiting for Brooke’s story since Counter Play and it did not disappoint. When her therapist and brother tell her to let loose and have some fun in Vegas I don’t think they meant her marrying one of her brother’s former teammates. But that’s just what she does and Silas is enjoying every second of it!
These two were ridiculously sweet and oh so hot! The mouth on Silas had me drooling! He is a man obsessed and makes sure to show Brooke how perfect she is and the he will do anything to make her happy. Hes her calm in the storm. And she’s his everything. I just loved them so so much!
I also LOVE the group of friends in this book! They are the best found family and always have each other’s backs, and constantly have me cracking up at their ribbing and banter. But don’t let that fool you because the last quarter of this book had me on the edge of my seat and all up in my feels! Ava never fails to take you on a whole ass emotional rollercoaster before giving you the most beautiful happily ever after!
I was not ready to say goodbye so I was beyond ecstatic when Ava told us we were getting two more books! Two books that I just know are going to be a wild ride!
Everyonebout told me I was going to LOVE Silas and they were right! I adore that man so much! I’m not sure if he topped Archie for me, but it’s pretty dang close!
Lockdown Corner is a steady, safe, and genuinely sweet love story about Silas and Brooke. From the very first page, everything feels soft and comforting. Silas knows exactly what he wants from the moment he meets Brooke, and he’s completely determined to win her heart—no hesitation, no games.
The plot itself is fairly predictable, but the strength of Silas and Brooke’s connection makes it work. The conflict is there, it stings where it should, but it never overshadows how solid and reassuring their love feels. Their relationship is built on trust, patience, and consistency, which made the story really enjoyable to read.
Silas quickly became my favorite. He has strong golden retriever energy, and I loved how openly and unapologetically in love he is with Brooke. On the other hand, Brooke’s insecurities are written beautifully. Her anxiety and emotional struggles feel real, raw, and very relatable. Ava Sutton truly nailed Brooke’s inner world—I could feel every doubt and fear she went through.
What I loved most is how Silas consistently makes Brooke feel safe, secure, and deeply loved. Their dynamic is comforting in the best way.
If you’re looking for a sweet, low-stress romance with a steady pace and minimal angst, Lockdown Corner is definitely for you.
As always, Ava writes the best men and I’ve told her this multiple times!
I love these two and I absolutely freaking love Silas to pieces!😝 He is one of my favorites now!
We have a tattooed football player that wears glasses (when needed) and is obsessed with Brooke.
He doesn’t hide his feelings towards her but she currently has a boyfriend that no one likes at all… Including me! She is shocked to find out that he has had feelings for her for awhile now..
Everything changes with one surprise kiss and from there things escalate🙃
Silas is sweet, swoony and his mouth is🔥
He also treats Brooke like a freaking queen!
They go about their relationship completely backwards but he finally got his girl….
At one point my stomach dropped and I was sad for Silas but they both know what they want and it’s each other🥹
I love that you watch Brooke get comfortable with him and open up about stuff she doesn’t talk to anyone about.

I kiss the top of her head and smile into the quiet thinking about how we got here. They say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Except when you marry the girl you’ve always wanted. And this? This is the part I’ll protect with everything I have. My wife. My home. My forever.
𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫 is the 5th book in the Walker University Stallions series by Ava Sutton, featuring an entertaining brother’s teammate, college football romance for Silas and Brooke. I was hooked by the emotional prologue that reminded me why I love Beck and Charlie so much from the first book in this series, and keyed me up for little sister Brooke’s love journey. A few years later, Brooke is languishing in a relationship with the wrong man, while Silas carries a torch for her on the periphery. He sees an unlikely opportunity and seizes it in a big way!😍 It’s impossible not to smile and swoon over his confident flirtation and winks, as well as his sheer determination to make her his! The twists kept coming for these two, from life-changing adventurous ones to the deeply personal and emotional ones. I mean, he’s a lockdown corner on the field, but I’m not sure he had getting the chance to lock down his dream girl on his bingo card. Apparently, not everything that happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!!😏😚 Whether it’s family drama, football action, spicy passion, or friend group banter, this was a fun ride!! I just wish the epilogue gave us more future info, because I wasn’t ready to say goodbye!!😂
I received an ARC for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶🌶
I couldn’t wait for Silas and Brooke’s story and loved every minute of it! Silas is the definition of down bad for his girl. The only problem is.. she’s in a relationship. Does this stop Silas? Absolutely not. This man is patient and ready to play the long game, waiting for Brooke to realize she’s supposed to be with him. Silas and Brooke had a whirlwind romance. They literally hit the ground running together, and even when Brooke tried backpedaling, Silas was there patient and steady. They were the perfect balance of impulse x caution.
I adored Silas and loved how well he supported Brooke. He was there for her no matter what, and was truly her strong and steady. Brooke has my heart. Watching her grow and work through her childhood trauma was so beautiful. She struggled with anxiety and Silas continually met her where she was at. He quickly became her safe space, giving her a place to land. The mental health representation was so perfect, capturing all the raw vulnerability anxiety triggers.
This has been such a fun series! While I’m sad that it’s over, I am DYING for Liam’s full story next!
Thank you Ava & Wordsmith Publicity for the ARC of Lockdown Corner!
Silas, Silas, Silas… could you be any more yummy? I seriously ate this up and left no crumbs. He made it so easy to fall for him right along with Brooke. Lockdown Corner is the final book in the Walker University series and Ava ended it with the best couple. Silas was so down bad for Brooke in the best ways, leaving no doubts that she was with the wrong man in the beginning. Brooke is used to being a people pleaser and keeping her struggles quiet from her brother and dad, but Silas shows up for her EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. When she suggests they get married in Vegas spontaneously, he is all in with zero regrets even with the doubts her family is throwing their way. These two have the best chemistry and are so hot together. Silas will leave you swooning in a puddle with his mouth and feelings for his girl. I could read this over and over and still want more of Silas and Brooke. I loved getting to see all our fav couples again and while I’m sad to leave behind Walker University, I know Ava has something amazing next.
Thank you Ava for bringing this book and series to us. I just love being apart of your world💚
