An introduction to the life and thoughts of the twelfth-century theologian, mystic, poet, and musician, whose prescient teachings, founded on Benedictine Rule, bring with them a wholistic sense that still speaks to today's spiritual seekers.
I loved reading this book until I got to the second to the last chapter A Woman of Our Time where the author forced Hildegard, round beautiful into the square hole of modernity. Looking at historical figures through the lens of the present never works and distorts the truth. Still a really good book and well worth getting to know Hildegard better!
