“You’ll be of so much more use to me than what Larkin ever was. And that makes you invaluable. Learn to play by my rules, Quentin. Life will be easier if you do.”
Quentin thought she had it all – the job, the man, and divinity – until Hunter came along and ripped them out of her grasp. The game she’s caught in is the most terrifying yet, and she has no choice but to play it alone. She refuses to shatter for Gods who prioritise their ego over everything else. If she can’t win, she’ll die trying.
The God of Chaos should be in his element with the way things have panned out. Instead, he is bound in chains and powerless. Watching from the sidelines, Gray is regretting every decision he’s made that led him to this point. If the rest of the Gods are so convinced that he is a cold-hearted murdered, then all they need to do is release him and allow him to prove them right. The list of names is growing, and he’s desperate for a taste of vengeance.
Trust has always been given sparingly in the heavens, but never has it been such a valuable commodity. Time is running out. Alliances are as precarious as ever. If war breaks out, then Elysia will never be the same. The Gods made mistakes last time, and they can’t afford to repeat history.
Everyone has their reasons for the choices they make. Can you live with yours?

I waited 2 years for this book and OMG was it worth it!! Zavi is a fantastic story teller and paints a beautiful picture with her writing. I love the ending to Grayson and Quentin's story. Quentin is such a bad ass and deserves all the wins that came her way. As for Grayson, his love for Quentin warms my soul and he also deserves all the good things after everything he went through. My heart also goes out to Archer and I know we won't get any more of this world but I really hope he finds true happiness. Definitely read this series, you'll love it!
3.5 🌟 I was disappointed with this one compared to the rest of the series which I loved. Grayson is becoming really controlling and problematic for me, Q can’t have a conversation without him popping up like “heyyy just so you don’t forget, you belong to me, k byeeee” It’s giving desperate.
And also there was this huge build up to kill H and this “war” for it to be over in a couple of pages… really anticlimactic.

“I was her bound. I was meant to protect her and bring her peace. And yet, I had been a cause of her pain.”
Of Wars & Thrones closes the Elysian Gods trilogy with the same signature mix of urban fantasy/ romantasy, and divine chaos, peppered with political intrigue.
It picks up directly after book two’s cliffhanger and quickly re-establishes the stakes — though the danger here feels less about the fate of the world and more about the power struggles within it. The tone is more personal, more “Game of Thrones-esque”: political scheming, betrayal, and the quiet devastation of individual choices.
This instalment feels closer in spirit to book one, but with the added depth earned through all that slow build in ‘Of Truths & Bonds’. The tension keeps climbing until the finale, where emotional rather than apocalyptic consequences take centre stage. Certain characters somehow manage to sink even lower than before — I truly wanted to punch them by the end — while Grayson and Quentin’s story finds its resolution at last.
The book ties up most loose ends and answers the essential questions, particularly around Quen and Gray’s bond and their growth as individuals.
At its heart, this trilogy has always been about transformation — both of a relationship and of a woman learning to define power on her own terms. It doesn’t aim to close every thread, but it offers enough closure to feel deeply satisfying.
Special mentions to Larkin (MVP status unlocked: unapologetic boss-babe-energy and I’m here for it !! Spin off please ) and Archer, whose character arc added an unexpected layer of intrigue.
Rated 2/5 for smut — less explicit than previous volumes, leaning more romantic than steamy — but the emotional resonance remains high. A heartfelt and fitting conclusion to a trilogy that balances divinity with humanity in all the messy, chaotic and beautiful ways.

Slower than the first two (I think since there was less Quen/Gray banter) but I LOVED the ending. It was not rushed, closed all the plot points, and was both satisfying and made me tear up at points (looking at you, Larkin & Archer).

The wait for the end of Elysian Gods was totally worth it! Although I have to say I didn't want to say goodbye to these characters, I loved that Zavi James gave me less intensity than in her previous two books, because otherwise I wouldn't have been able to bear it, and even so, there were unexpected twists, shocking moments, and an ending for Quentin & Grayson that I didn't expect but that made me very happy.
This book picked up exactly where the previous one left off and the tension is palpable from the very first chapter! I really liked that Zavi gave me a completely lost and vulnerableGrayson, one who managed to frustrate me with his decisions, BUT whom I never stopped loving because reading him show Quentin how important she is to him was one of the best moments of this series.
I also really enjoyed learning a little more about Elysia's story, reading about Erik, Larkin, Ignacio & Elva again because these gods stole my heart from the first book. What I didn't expect was the direction the author took Archer's character and the way she made me change my mind about him, something I really enjoyed experiencing throughout the book.
But I think it was Quentin who stole the show: this woman goes through many complicated situations throughout the series, BUT in Of Wars and Thrones, Zavi gave me the bravest moments of this character when she has to confront Hunter & Archer's plans, when the plot twists lead her to discover new possibilities for her future, and especially when she faces Grayson.

The third installment in The Elysian Gods picks up right at the cliffhanger of book two. This time, we get to dive deeper into the characters — Gray, Quen, Larkin, Hunter, and Archer. The plot focuses more on how the events affect them rather than the world, and that’s exactly what I needed. The inner monologues of Quen and Gray? Absolutely top-tier. And the flow and pacing of the story were smooth throughout.
We also get to explore the depths of the side characters (please, Zavi, give us a Larkin spinoff! 🙏🏽🙏🏽 I’m quite literally begging you, Pretty please? 🥺).
The ending — it was the perfect closure we could have gotten for Quentin Scott and Grayson Scott (see what I did there? 😏😎). It felt final but satisfying — the goodbye we deserved after the chaos.
My final review: ⭐ Overall: 5/5 🔥 Spice: 2/5 — more emotional depth than spice, and honestly, that’s what I’m here for. 📖 Plot: 5/5 — every decision made perfect sense for who the characters are; you could not imagine any other way for how the story pans out.
Lastly, I want to say it was worth the long wait 🤎, and I hope we get to see more of the side characters because I want more of Grayson Scott 👅

Let me preface this by saying that I was an Arc reader. I have been a fan of this series for so long and I have been DYING for the third and final book! I was so elated to be selected for this! I recommend rereading the series so everything is fresh in your mind, then read this book! It was so good. I think the second book in the series is my favorite, followed by the first, and then the third. I wasn’t sure where the story was going to take me, but I was prepared for the journey! It’s so good to have a conclusion and have everything wrapped up. Bonus, please make sure you get the extended epilogue!
A satisfying ending to the series. Well written and storyline flows very nicely without any gaps. I think I saw a few errors in character dressing/undressing type scenes, but other than that no complaints. And a very nice hint at the end that makes it completely impossible NOT to get the extended epilogue. I love Quentin & Grayson together, so so much. They’re so messy as a couple, but so freaking perfect too.
This book was epic. I literally read it within a couple of hours i couldn't put it down. I was so desperate to find out what would happen next. Quentin and Gray have been through so much and this book just kept throwing more and more at them.
There were so many gasp worthy moments in this book but it all came together in the end and I absolutely love how the story panned out.
This is an absolute must read series and I literally could not recommend it more.
