A Valkyrien Princess. A Dragon King. A Handfasting neither wanted, but can't escape…
Thyra
I have known since I was a child I would be handfasted on my twenty-first birthday, but I did not realize my father intended to wed me to Drengr of Logaland, our kingdom's most dreaded enemy. Even if I could forgive his savagery against our nation, I can never forget…
His father murdered my mother.
Luckily, I do not have to, for I have been ordered by my father to fake a regard for the King Drengr, so I may get close to him. Learn his secrets.
And ultimately, destroy him.
For I am not just a princess. I am a Valkyrie, cursed and fated by the gods to roam the battlefield, feasting on the blood of wounded warriors.
I am the perfect weapon.
I wasn't counting, though, on falling in love…
Drengr
I do not wish to marry the spoilt Princess of Vagmar, but it was my father's dying wish, and I pledged him my oath I would see it done.
It is adorable how she thinks she is managing to deceive me. That she is a clever little spy.
But I know the truth, and I vow I will make her switch her allegiances before we are wed. To ruin every illusion she holds dear, until there is nothing left but the sweet misery I offer.
This was an exciting and fun read. You really get to know the characters, and they are very well written. It reminds of a scene in the serie Pride and prejudice, where you can see the chargers slowly but steadily falling for each other. I really enjoyed all the viking references, it felt like seeing old friends again. Thank you for allowing me to read this, I will certainly read the other books coming in this series
Crown of Fangs by Faith James is a thrilling blend of dragon fantasy and romance that kept me turning the pages with eager anticipation. The story is immersive, full of high-stakes action, and packed with tension between the characters that makes the romance feel both earned and irresistible.
One of the standout elements of this book is the rich Viking-inspired culture that threads through the story. From the honor-bound codes to the fierce warrior traditions, it adds a layer of authenticity and grit that makes the world feel alive and grounded. The interplay between dragons and humans in this Nordic-inspired setting gives the story an epic, mythic quality that I loved exploring.
The romance is swoon-worthy and passionate, though at times I wished for a little more depth in character development beyond the sparks and flames. The dragon lore and mythology are beautifully woven in, and the action sequences are intense and well-paced, keeping the tension high without ever feeling overwhelming.
Thank you to Faith James for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Crowns of Fangs was such an exciting fantasy read. From the beginning, the story pulls you into a world filled with danger, power struggles, and the kind of tension that makes it hard to stop reading.
The dragon element adds an epic layer to the story, giving the world a sense of scale and intensity that really elevates the stakes. I loved how the fantasy aspects blended with the romance, allowing both parts of the story to shine without one overpowering the other.
The characters also kept me invested. Their motivations, conflicts, and evolving relationships made the journey feel meaningful as the plot unfolded.
This is a 5 ⭐ for me because:
• the dragon fantasy world felt immersive • the romance added emotional depth to the story • the pacing kept me hooked • the stakes and tension made it hard to put down
Epic. Dramatic. Addictive.
Read this book if you like:
• dragon fantasy • fantasy romance • high-stakes magical worlds • stories filled with adventure, danger, and powerful bonds
This is Book 1 of the Chronicles of Plane series. And a FANrastic start it is! Look forward to more from this world.
'A Valkyrien Princess. A Dragon King. A Handfasting neither wanted, but can't escape…'

Spice🌶️ Writing style is immersive and the vernacular is spot on for the setting, it does get a little rambly at times but not to the point of distraction. And once the plot starts popping off it’s gets straight to it MMC is suave af i liked him from the start, and goodness this man is haaawwwwny but so is Thyra lol The tension between them is so good and there were several times the banter had me either laughing out loud or giggling and kicking my feet. I was not expecting where the ended went and that was refreshing Thoroughly enjoyed this one and will definitely be reading the sequel
This book is so good. It is definitely a slow burn and the first book in a series. But I couldn’t stop reading it. I like that it is different from all the other fantasy romance books out there. It is also loosely based on Viking culture which I love. Some people might find this book boring because it’s a slow burn but it is so worth reading especially how it ends”chef’s kiss”. Can’t wait to read the next book😆.

This book was so good. We get Vikings with mythical creatures, and both MC's have twists to them. Great writing with edge of your seat action. Witty banter and the spice chef's kiss. The MMC is so cute. He falls first in my opinion, and the FMC is feisty independent. Troupes One-sided enemies to lovers Arranged marriage Betrayal The ending will have you going what just happened several times. Can't wait for the next book.
A very good fantasy book. I give it 5 stars as I really enjoyed reading it, the writing is awesome. Thrya is a princess betrothed in a political alliance, and there are secrets and deception everywhere. It ends on a cliffhanger as there are going to be three books in the series and I am looking forward to reading them all.

Crown of Fangs was an alright read. The FMC and MMC were both engaging characters, and the world draws inspiration from Viking lore.
It has everything you’d expect in romantasy—dragons, romance, banter, and high stakes. I especially enjoyed the complexity of the characters; they both had layers. While the miscommunication was frustrating at times, it also felt authentic.
A good read overall.
