Now left alone with a huge responsibility, her ego is crushed, and insecurities seep in. 🥹 Autumn's neighbor, October, is kind and johnny on the spot whenever she needs him. However, she doesn't catch on that he is feeling her.
October is checking for Autumn big time, but she doesn't notice. In the meantime, he is her friend and pours positivity into her when she feels down about her size. When he helps her out during a time of need, and continues to do so, she begins to wonder about maybe? He finally breaks down and tells Autumn how he feels, and that long overdue conversation is had.
Then here comes the ish!! 😤 Secrets and drama from October's past come back to haunt him, trying to end his relationship before it gets started. It takes some patience and outside forces to get them back on track. Good read. 👍🏿👍🏿

The story was cute, a lot of fat shaming in the story, it was a little too much for me. Overall, the heroine was voluptuous and appealing to her man. The story was a good read.

First ima start off with this. This is a bbw single mom trope. Starts off with Autumn finding out she’s pregnant from her boyfriend of 9 months. The kicker is she just found out he’s living a double life married with a child. His wife blasts all the business in a bowling alley. Of course he sticks with his wife and doesn’t stay in the picture long for support. Her neighbor October lends a helping hand while bonding with her and her baby Auburn. This is seems to be a fall themed book. There are time jumps to that specific season while telling the story. I thought their relationship was cute. October is sweet, intentional and all about Autumn and Auburn. He loved playing stepdaddy.
Now, what I don’t really care for is the fmc. I dont think it mentioned her height and weight other than her being a bbw with a stomach. She started off insecure about her weight, but there is character development. She allowed her her insecurities to make her hesitant with October, but when he ex popped back up she took his word over her own man. Like he already did you dirty. Make it make sense. So now you mad and you keep your daughter away from him. That’s the thing about playing step-parent you’ll get discarded no matter how much you’ve done for the kid. Can’t stand the miscommunication trope. I’m a firm believer in groveling. Even for fmcs. Some of them be acting up too.
I love that this didn’t end with October forgiving his brother. Kevin and TJ did him so dirty. How could anyone ask him to forgive just for the sake of family? Immediately no. He healed from him past on his own terms and in his own way. Yess October.

This is the slow burn you didn’t know you needed!!!If there was ever a person who lived by, I don’t give a F**K what people think about me was a person it would be October Patterson. This man had layers and was willing to give the world to his two favorite girls. He had some secrets that could hurt and scare away the sanest women. Only for your past to be what’s standing in your way of your HEA. I will say the plot twist that that’s place I was not ready for and though they were about to have me hating this man. I was heartbroken for Autumn and me. The world has a bunch of Octobers around and I hope they can be themselves and tell their truths without being judged and loved on properly Like Autumn did. Loved he was not backing down after the hurt he endured.
Autumn, sis went through it and baby girl was really out her choosing to thug it out because she didn’t want anyone to settle but to choose her and everything that came with her. The heartbreak she went through only to know she was going it alone. Strength like no other. However, October never allowed her to go though it along and she almost let this man just stay in the friend zone when he wanted to give her the world and so much more.
I loved their chemistry and how Toby lifted Autumn up every chance he got. He let his intentions know and made sure she knew he was for her them and princess Auburn. The only person that was holding this show up was Autumn because she was so broken and didn’t see that October “Toby” wanted more. Gi Gi was a trip you hear me and Autumn didn’t get it right granny might have gone after that man seeing how they don’t make them like him anymore. The way they both loved and healed pieces of each other was the sweetest!!!

OMG…. what a beautiful love story
Egypt Cynae’ did her big one with this book, what I loved about this book is how relatable Autumn was. I related so much to her that I saw a lot of her in me. It’s funny not funny how society feels that a big girl can’t pull a man. Especially a man who women deem fine as hell. The type of women that Autumn encountered do exist. Those women only saw her size and assumed that no man would want her. The sad part is I believed Autumn believed it too. That is why she had a hard time believing that October wanted her. That this man wanted to love her out loud. Now October, he’s a good man Savannah and it sucked what his piece of 💩 brother and equally piece of 💩then girlfriend did to him. I am glad that he made peace with it. It didn’t mean that he had to forgive his brother or TJ, it was for him to move on. I love how healing showed in form of love, October’s love healed Autumn heart and Autumn and Auburn healed October’s heart. This was a second chance at real love and happiness. October stepped in and was Auburn’s daddy even before she gave him the title. That little girl knew who showed up for her. She may have the DNA of that piece 💩🥷🏾, but that don’t mean 💩. October saw her coming into this world and she became his world. This is a good read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I'm not sure what originally pulled me toward this one, maybe it was the gorgeous cover, but whatever the reason, I’m so glad I picked it up. This book radiates cozy fall vibes and wraps you in the kind of romance that feels like your favorite warm blanket.
Autumn, our FMC, is plus-sized and has spent most of her life being made to feel like she was less than because of it. The emotional toll of that kind of cruelty is real, and Egypt Cynae doesn’t shy away from showing the scars it can leave. But then we meet October. Whew.
October is a real one. From the very beginning, he’s locked in. He’s patient, affirming, and absolutely not here for the self-doubt Autumn has carried for so long. He sees her, the full version of her, and he wants all of it. My guy was out here channeling “Legs, and hips, and body, body, body!” 😂 But jokes aside, he made it very clear that she was everything he wanted, inside and out.
Yes, Autumn had to deal with some negativity and setbacks, but those trials became the soil where something beautiful could finally grow, love, acceptance, confidence. Watching her begin to accept October’s love, and more importantly, begin to believe she deserved it? Chef’s kiss.

Fell a Bit Flat
This storyline span over a couple years and in that time the MMC developed real feelings while the FMC was still trying to find her way through life including some new responsibilities. As a MMC, October was likeable for the most part- but was not open about his past which created unnecessary drama that seemed to drag out and was actually never completely resolved. Also, I like my female main characters- especially the BBW's, to exude MUCH more confidence than Autumn did. Her self-loathing without taking any on page action to make changes if she was truly that unhappy- started to irk my nerves. Then the seggs scenes were weird and gave off fetish instead of real attraction and I didn't like it at all. This was a first for me and this authors work and while there were some things that I really liked - like what a stand-up guy October was and how funny GiGi was, the overall storyline had so much potential, but the execution of it was off to me.

October affirmed her and got her to see she was that girl and to not stress over the opinions of others and Autumn gave him a love and family that he was cheated out of by his ex.
October declared himself step daddy of the year, but he was truly a daddy that stepped up and would do anything for Autumn and her baby and that was even before they became more than neighbors and friends with no benefits. I was glad that Autumn gave him a chance to show her true unconditional love.
This story was sweet but not without a bit of drama from past secrets, but they were eventually able to weather the storm together.

October and Autumn were such a cute couple. October stepped up and helped Autumn throughout her pregnancy and beyond. I loved how October built up Autumn's self-esteem and was there for her in her time of need. I also fell in love with Autumn's baby girl, Auburn. She was such a cutie-pie, and the way that she called October "Toba" just caused me to melt. Autumn's ex, Wilson, was sooooo trifling. I definitely wasn't expecting the twist that came out. Yes Egypt Cynae!!! This book was so good. Beautiful from beginning to end. I love a man who sees a woman for who she is and not her body type. Big beautiful women have always been the lick, and I am so proud of how they are portrayed in books and real life. I am here for it.

I didn’t want this to end
This was such a good read that I didn’t want it to end…..October was that guy who was done dirty by his family member & girlfriend he went about his life with a stigma attached to him but didn’t let him deter him from living now Ms Autumn was a beautiful inside & out but Wilson was living a double life and got caught up but in the process created another life with autumn that he didn’t take care of …..October & Autumn built their own family in their own little world I love that he choose therapy with his family although he said he was good on Kevin and I want more of this couple a wedding book or something

I love the way October and Autumn found love after all they have been through. It takes a lot to heal and move beyond what you have been through.
They had to go through the rough matches to get to their happy ever after.
I am glad October was able to help continue to build Autumn's self-esteem, and she was to see that she was a strong, beautiful black woman no matter her size.

Awesome love story
So glad Autumn didn't not let October past mess up what they had now they have there own family...
I do understand where October coming from but I do think it would have been nice to see him get therapy behind the hurt his brother and ex cause him and his father to act like it should be water under the bridge nope because it didn't affect your life it did for him ...

Needs a stronger lead
This was,a story but if needs a,stronger female lead. One could only imagine the boss Autumn would have been if she was written stronger. Just because a person is veluptous doesn't mean they're insecure. If she looked anything liked her picture she should have been a force to reckon with. I enjoyed October. He was a true alpha male. His brother and family were jacked up!

SWEET AND SPICY
Short, sweet, and full of life and love. This was such a nice fun read. Egypt Cynaè wrote this story so well it felt like I read a full novel! The details of their lives before, during, as well as the end. It was a complete love story. This was my first book by this author but not my last!! I recommend reading this book!

Egypt did it again with Autumn and Toby.. The each faced their own struggles in the love department but the come together. He was a great part of her support system during her pregnancy. And he loved her through her insecurities and she supported him through his family struggles

This was a nice read. October wanted his family and he damn sure stepped up to the plate and did that. All those folks that wanted him to forgive his brother must have bumped their heads. Losing two years of your life over a lie is not forgivable in my years coupled with that other piece. Yea no family of mine over this way. Keep on pushing.

Step daddy season! I loved October, he did what needed to be done for baby girl since birth! I hate the miscommunication, talk it out like adults. I don’t like the gaslighting from the family about October forgiving the unforgivable. I’m glad he stood his ground! Sometimes you have to walk away from family period!
