This was a cute little read. Eriss disability was one I’ve never encountered in books before so that was refreshing. Ans I enjoyed the characters. Zyro & Eriss essentially fell into a relationship that neither of them particularly wanted or were looking for. I love how Zyro showed up for Eriss and “homeboy”😉 in tangible ways to let her know that he was a different kind of man. There was some action and hood shenanigans that showed the lengths Zyro would go to in protection of his family. I do feel like the ending was a bit anticlimactic but again an enjoyable read and a break from lots of the instalove “we moved in together after 2 days” stories. There were lots of lazy editing mistakes that did begin to distract me after a while but overall this was decent. I’m a sucker for a step daddy who stepped up trope.

2.0

This rating is for the likeable characters (Malia and Ermias). Outside of that there was no nothing. The characters met and because they were attractive ppl they ended up getting together. Outside of taking the kid to the fair, there were no dates, no conversations to see if they were on the same page. Well they did have a conversation about not wanting to be in relationships. There was no action, no climax build up, and the story was super predictable. The only thing different is the FC eye issue. So basically they fell in love with the sex and the looks. They had nothing else going for their relationship because they didn’t even know each other. They knew nothing about their families, wants, needs, NOTHING. I guess for action the author threw the BD in there and really didn’t have to, he served no purpose in the story. K*ll*ng him was unnecessary. Idk I wouldn’t recommend this book for anyone to read. It was boring to say the least, and I almost DNF it a few times, well actually I do skip a lot and stopped reading at 88%.

This book was so good and easy to read . the story flowed so well and i love the characters in the book . mahlia is such a funny supportive lovable bestfriend that we all need in our life . im so happy that eriss has that in her life especially the things she went through with her piece of shit baby daddy. mahlia didn't play about when it comes to eriss finding love and she wanted Eriss to be with her cousin zyro . I Love the relationship between zyro and eriss . im happy she opened up her heart to zyro because i know she was scared . i love how zyro have a great relationship with ermias that his baby boy . i love when zyro is such a protective and gentlemen towards eriss and ermias making sure they are safe and well and spoiling them . one thing about zyro he gonna make sure his brother zyleek is out of jail and making sure he is straight , one phone call from zyleek . zyro is gonna be there for his brother he don't play .im glad zyleek has life going on well and mahlia .

Zyro wanted Eriss the moment that he laid eyes on her and Ermias. He didn’t act on it right then but he did when the opportunity presented itself when Eriss’s car wouldn’t start. Ermias liked Zyro, his house, and his truck from day one and he liked the fact that Zyro spent time with him and his mom. Zyro played no games when it came to Eriss and Ermias and made an example out of Ermias’s dad Delion who was bitter that Eriss moved on. I’m glad that they have a baby girl on the way and that Mahlia had a man that she settled down with. I like the fact that Zyleek put the settlement money to good use by investing into his future. I would love a book about Zyleek because he was really a character.

I enjoyed this quick read

Story flowed so well. Wish there was more! Eriss and Zyro were too cute together. He loved her even with her sight issue. He didn’t want his woman with a patch. He didn’t want her in pain. He protected her. He looked out for her and his homeboy, Ermias. It’s sad that Ermias would rather be around Zyro instead of his own father. So, we know he won’t miss him. Dude was garbage. Coming to his bm house on good bull. Not even caring about his son being in the house. Zyro looked out though. Mahlia is the reason those 2 got together. Then, she ends up with her man. I want to read more on Zyleek crazy self lol.

title for this book fits perfectly

Had some grammatical errors but it didn’t take away from how good this book was. I didn’t like how Eriss didn’t embrace her beauty even with her eye condition. She still was a very beautiful woman. She shut off relationships bc of how her bd treated her. But when she met Zyro I knew he was going to be the one. He was watching her when she came to the family reunion. I just like their whole vibe. Zyro wasn’t the relationship type but as you can see anything is possible.

I must read !!!

I'll always remember this book. Eriss Jackson is a single mom who adores her five-year-old son Ermias; they're a team. She makes the best of things and does what she needs to do for her son. Her best friend Mahlia invites them to her family reunion, and they go. Zyro Coleman is the cousin hosting the party for his family. One look, and things start to click. This is such a wonderful story. Oh my gosh, it's so good. I didn't want the book to end. K. Nicole, amazing job. I loved reading this book.

Eriss and Zyro

Such a beautiful short urban romance! Eriss, a single mother who’s been through it after being wronged by her kid father, is just trying to navigate life while living with partial blindness in one eye. Her son was the absolute cutest and did not play when it came to his mama. Then there’s step zaddy Zyro, her best friend’s cousin who was on her real bad! He was straightforward, meant what he said, and didn’t waste time playing games. Definitely a cute, feel-good read.

Worth the read

This was a sweet story that I enjoyed reading. Eriss was a single living life just a bit lonely after being betrayed by with her son’s father. Meeting Zyro changes The trajectory of her lonely existence and soon she’s with a real man who knows how to take care of those he cares for. These two kinda just fall into a relationship and then are locked in. There’s no dating or drawn out getting to know each other period.

The book is a solid read, but has a few pesky errors in the text that could have been avoided.

Cute, Short, & Sweet.

Half site whole heart is one of those books that I wish were so much longer than it is. Erris, Ermias, and Zyro had me hooked from the first chapter. Even reading the synopsis, I was like oh this is going to be so good!"" However, I do wish their story was more in-depth because I saw the potential for expansion in every chapter, and that would have made my four star review a five-star review. Other than that, I really enjoyed reading this short story, and I look forward to checking out more K Nicole books.

Happy Reading!!

Good read, a dang good read

I love love K.Nicole’s books, they eat everything time. This book was so good, I love a good urban love story where the MMC is unhinged and is ready to play step daddy. Zyro, that’s a good man Savannah and he loved Eriss out loud for the whole world to see. He loved Ermias like he was his own, but real talk. He was his father. This was such a beautiful love story and I loved their happy ending. 5 star ready.

A quick read that would fall under the instalove, step daddy trope. A good 3.5 ⭐️ that I would recommend.

Pros:
-Healthy mother-son bond
-Supportive friendships and family dynamics
-Step-daddy energy
-Disability representation
-What he won’t do, another guy will
-HEA

Cons:
-Too trusting of a stranger around the kid too soon
-Subplots weren’t needed surrounding the MMC’s brother and the whole Porter scene

A damn good MAN

Beautiful cover! Beautiful story! And a damn good MAN! I love how the FMC didn’t let her condition get in the way of her living life. You can tell her heart was beautiful in the way Kee wrote her! Now that MMC whewwww I love everything about him. I just want to know will we get a book on his brother???

Half Sight Whole Heart

So, so good!!

Eriss was beautiful despite having a problem with her sight. Zyro was able to see beyond her eye, and see her. Talk about falling love. Yes Hunni!!! Then to top it all off, the man was fine, paid, and just a good person.

I love everything about this book from beginning to ending.

This was such an amazing story! Although it was a short read, it was packed with so much. Eriss deserved the amount of love Zyro gave her and her son. Zyro definitely didn’t play about them. If you’re looking for something quick thats heartfelt with a lil street, give this a try.

I'll rate this book 3.5 stars, rounded up.
Overall, really good read and storyline. Quick and not too much drama or excessive sex scenes for the number of pages this book has. I loved Zyron Leek and Mahlia. I loved Eriss too - her being different just really set her apart from other FMC's. This was a good read, minus the dang grammatical errors.

heart by sight💕

Adorable story! Loved the flow of how characters came together! Drama was nipped in the bud from the beginning 👏🏽I knew Zyro was the “man” he handled bizness 👊🏽👊🏽 zyleek was a fool but loved him!!! There were several editing issues throughout the book so only four stars given🫣

Just what I needed.

This was a good read. No billionaire drug dealer and a single struggling mom. She was employed had her own and a support system. Other than a few typos that context helped clear up this was a perfect book. And spoiler she gets pregnant at the very end. Like the last two pages. Safe adult exercise was all in this book and I love it.

Solid Story!

This is a slow burn but has great spice. The story line was really good and gave small town vibes. There is some grammatical errors in this throughout but the story is really good to look past them.

Overall I was very pleased reading this! 💖

This story between Eriss and Zyro was a great read. Definitely giving step daddy season. From the moment Zyro laid eyes on her he was captivated by her. I’m happy he showed up and showed out about her. He was able to show her what being loved on really felt like. He gives that soulful love.
