Tiffany knows Santa is real. After all, she caught her mother with him ten years ago. What Tiffany doesn’t realise, is that the shifters she reads about are real, too, and there’s one on her roof.
Robert was kidnapped as a child and forced to live a life of slavery until one night he meets his mate. She frees him from the spell he’s under and he escapes the clutches of the one who stole him.
They think they’re getting their HEA, only now Tiffany finds herself wielding incredible amounts of unmanageable magic, and there’s only one person who can help her.
As a former covert operative, Aria Peyton has jumped from helicopters, commando crawled across enemy lines without underwear, created secret alliances with the things that go bump in the night, and bungee jumped off the top of a Styrofoam factory into a vat of beanbag filler. With the aid of the Secret Agent Protection Group, she currently masquerades as an average parent, but can leap Lego towers in a single bound, pack school lunches like a boss, and can burn herself on any hot surface without the aid of a how-to manual. Her multiskilling talent is now known throughout the universe. Never be fooled by the apparent mediocrity though. To do so is at your own peril.
For reals, though, she's an Aussie author, copy editor, small-time blogger, music lover, and dragon (honest!). Mum to 3 crazy girls, 2 cling-on dogs, 3 black cats with personalities bigger than they are, and a horse who's filled with attitude. More hours in the day (or at the very least, a pause button on the clock) would be handy
Goodness where to start, you ruined Santa lol...all I saw in my mind was "Trump". Santa is real and he is quite evil, he comes to Australia to claim his daughter and take her North to teach her magic. Before she leaves she meets Rudolph on her rooftop, he turns out to be a shifter named Robert who was kidnapped as a child and magicked into a reindeer. I think I laughed my way through most of this hilarious tale. I wonder if non Australians will get it and have a laugh too. I'm glad it ended the way it did and wrapped up the tale nicely. Shake it off Santa lol Don't let the .5 throw you, this is a full sized novel that touches on the rest of the series, more so towards the end. I loved it, even the cringe worthy moments. The plot was solid and the characters fun and at times evil. You'll never see Christmas the same again.
This was a fun tale to write. The ability to really mess with the ideal of Santa was nothing short of amazing! It wasn't until about halfway through did the characters reveal that they didn't want to be a standalone, and that they wanted to have a backstory related to the Coal Creek series. It was good though, as Robert's past was a little murky up to that point. The clarity that moment gave me was instrumental to rounding the book out. It was one of those books where I sat during parts, rubbing my hands together and grinning wickedly.
