I was a beta reader for Caissy and this book. First off I want to say that she has really grown since her first book. You can see the changes in this book. This book is very well written and the story line is interesting and unique. I love the mythology feel to it. You have Apollo who marries Aegea the Queen of the Amazons. They have 4 children together and that doesn’t sit well with Hera. She is mad and wants revenge on Apollo and his family. After their mother dies the 4 brothers and sisters have to stick together. Briahanna one of the daughters finds out things about herself that she is shocked about. There are things she has to do to protect her siblings. You have Drostan who turns out to be more to Briahanna then she realizes. There is so much action and suspense along with family bounding. The creatures that are brought into the story are amazing and intriguing. Caissy does a wonderful job, drawing your attention into the story. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was going to happen next. I do highly recommend this book. It will leave you wanting more and I can’t wait for book 2.

A Fast-Paced Interesting Read
I really enjoyed reading this book. It is a quick read that draws you into the story and keeps you flipping pages to see what happens next. I really enjoyed the mythology theme in this book and how they entwine it to explain the existence of vampires. A really different take. This is a story of romance gone awry, of the conundrum of a man who needs to decide whether it is right for him to stay loyal to his family or to follow his heart, and the question is what will the consequences of his actions be? Then we also get another character who's life is entwined with the first character and she is supposed to be the one who fulfills a great prophecy. Is she that chosen one? And finally what role do gods play in all of this? This little tale is full of love, and family and anger and revenge. It will keep you guessing the while read through.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I choose this book since I thought it was a standalone novel. No where on this page stated it was part of the series until I finished the book. This page needs to be update to include the second book, https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2....
