This book will have you not wanting to put it down until the end, then NEEDING more. The characters in this book will have you engulfed in this their lives and feeling what they are feeling. Theresa Reese did not play about this one. It had me feeling like I was watching an episode of The Chi on tv. I want more!!!

Another banger by Theresa.
This was exactly what I needed!
It was fast paced, entertaining and very intense.
Kane was definitely a menace but I grew to love it!
The plot and storyline was without a doubt good!
It will have you turning the pages. I didn’t want it to end and of course it end with a cliffhanger. Ugh
But i really hope it had a good ending on the next book. I need more asap!

Gah Damn Reese
Misa had been through so much in her life having an addict for a mama then having to suffer unimaginable trauma then an unbearable loss that everyone around her thinks she is responsible for. She picks up and moves and works as a bottle girl and meets Tracey who becomes a big sister to her among other things. Tracey always keeps it a stack no matter what. Working as a bottle girl has its perks but when those perks get you into some bs it’s downhill. Mark knows he’s wrong for what he did to Misa. While working she made a deal & she happens to come across Kane or rather he comes across her and at first it’s crazy and awkward as hell but they warm up to one other. Kane’s father Armon lives by a code and that code has cost Kane greatly after Armon was on some get back type time. He suffers an unimaginable as well and is closed off bc of it. Will they help one another out? Determined to find out who killed her brother Misa is on a mission and learns a a shocking secret along the way. Armon is doing way too much for my liking. That cliffhanger was crazy as hell can’t wait for part 2. Great job boo 😊

Yesss, this one kicked the door in immediately. Straight action and pressure from page one, no warm-up, no mercy. I was locked in with Misa from the jump. She got that quiet strength mixed with danger, the kind of character you can tell is standing in the eye of a coming storm.
Then Kane slid through and baby… unhinged doesn’t even cover it. When he licked the blood off her face, I had to pause like nah, this man is wired differently.
Now Armon? That man is the boogeyman’s big homie. Pure menace, but the pain Kane put him through only poured gasoline on the fire. Hurt men don’t heal, they evolve, and this family dynamic feels like a loaded gun with a hair trigger.
My mind already running wild with theories, twists, betrayals, and bodies that might drop, but I won’t spoil the vibe. Let me jump into part two because Kane is coming back behind Misa with all pressure, no brakes, and I need front-row seats for the chaos.

OMG!!
First of all Ms. Reese you get two up top for putting my city Wilmington, Delaware in ur book!!😍 Next I don’t know where to start, first up Armon I hope he gets his just due. Secondly Kane yesss with all his BDE, I need to know what really went down with his son and fiancé. Next up Misa, I do feel sorry for all the things she’s endured, but she has me a little pissed off at how simple she’s acting!! For all the teaching and preparing her, that she claims her brother did I know he has to be rolling in the grave. I don’t trust Vickie and Tracey is clueless and no help to Misa!! And the momma Roxanne someone needs to get to her ass cuz her junkie butt definitely got some answers, especially about Misa’s son and the identity of the father!! Five stars Ms. Reese!! On my way to book 2!🥰

When The Life Hits Ypu Hard
Theresa Reese, great read. When you think of all the pain and hurt that had engulfed a young girls life that should've had her drown in sorrow gave her inner strength she never thought she would need.
Seeing a young man that has a great heart but can't let everyone see that inside of him. I love the way he protects. He's hard to stay calm but seeing him in this mode I think he will surprise the devil with his own game that will turn on him. Theresa Reese you really had these babies going through. They are unwrapping layers that they both had. I just pray it turns out. That baby is gonna have to play chess not checkers. I can't wait🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

A wild ride
Theresa is off the hook.
The ride is crazy. There is so much to say about this book.
Each character has you on a roller-coaster.
The main two characters have given me enough to try to unpack what really happened in their lives from beginning to now. So was Misa pregnant by Armond?
Did Kina fiance and son get killed by Polo, and was that a setup by Armond?
I think Misa and Kane can find love if they can get rid of some of the people around them.
Did Kane's brothers know everything that was happening?
There are so many questions.
Theresa has to release the second part quickly. I can't wait this time. I am on the edge of my seat.

Unlikely couple but she grounds him.. He is diabolical crazy and unapologetic.. She maybe young but knows about the trauma life can cause at a young age.. She grew up fast and it to blame her addict mother for that.. her brother tried to raise her right and fast but it didn’t work that way.. She had a baby at sixteen and didn’t even know the father.. She just tried to survive the many chances she faced death’s door.. She’s afraid to trust and fall in love because what is that? She meets Kane and he falls instantly and tries to pretend she isn’t beautiful.. She just wants to survive yet again another situation.

3.75 ⭐️ 😳⬅️My face after finishing this book. This story was messy and packed with nonstop twists that kept me hooked. Something major happens right at the beginning, and honestly? I never had a moment to breathe.😅 MMC, Menace captures Misa, but what he doesn’t know is, she’s a fierce woman who takes absolutely no crap. The tension between them quickly turns into passion, and I was here for it. But soon Misa is confronted by the past she thought she escaped and from there, things just continue to hit the fan. If you want something quick and drama-packed, this is definitely for you.

I enjoyed this upon until the last 2 chapters. What sense does it make for Misa to take Mehki when her whole life is going up in flames and people are trying to kill her. She noted that it looked like he was being well taken care of and instead of figuring out her shit and then coming back for him once everything was over she just took him. I understand the rage and the rash decisions due to her trauma and the relationship with her mom but she knew she would be putting him in danger. I’m so annoyed. And why did this need a second part seems like everything could’ve been wrapped in one book

I went into this one completely blind like I usually do, and BABYYYY… I was not prepared for the mess waiting in these pages.
Misa really had life handing her blow after blow. Just when it seemed like she’d finally had a few quiet years, one small decision, entertaining a random man at her job, cracked everything wide open. And that choice? Yeah… it set off a chain reaction that changed her entire life. Whether that change was for better or worse? I’m gonna need you to read the book and see for yourself. 😌
Because once Kane enters the picture?
CHILE. The chaos officially begins.
From that point on, every move Misa makes has to be calculated. Every thought, every wish, every hope comes with consequences, especially when it comes to what she thinks Kane can make happen for her. The tension had me locked in, stressed out, and fully seated the entire time.

Wow
There was no easing into this story…no warm up at all. You open the book and it’s boom, boom, bam straight into the action.
Misa honestly gave me a headache with her decision making, because girl… why? And Kane? The secrets just kept piling up on him nonstop. This book stayed engaging from start to finish.

WTH!!!!
This book is my book club read and at first I didn’t know what to expect. Every now and again I would send my girlies a text with my thoughts. By the end of the book I done threw my ipad and screamed to the top of my lungs.

The plots were twisting like a roller coaster at six flags mayne!!! I can not wait to dive into part 2! This was just what I needed to get me out of my reading slump!! Whew! What a ride! I was on the edge of my seat and even had my husband looking over my shoulder while I read telling me to “read faster” so I can turn the page in my Kindle🙄🤣

Great Read
Wow. There was a lot going on in this book. This was pretty much an insta-love/hate thing between Kane and Misa. Both lived hard lives, but seem to compliment each other. I loved when they were on good terms. But with all the drama between them, can they survive? With the way book 1 ended, I can’t wait to read book 2!

This book was good, my girl Misa been through a lot since a young girl. Hope the ending is good for her because she deserves it. Love how my boy Kane fell in love with Misa it was cute. But they were in some serious trouble, starting part 2 now.

DNF. It started off good, I was getting to know the characters. I thought them getting together would have e taken a little longer, it all happened too quick for me. The drama was just too much and I've read it before soo many times but I didnt care enough about the characters to finish reading.
