This book illustrates a surprising number of projects that are actually nice using a circular loom. I personally find that much harder than knitting, but for kids or someone who has issues with coordination of two hands at once, the loom can work surprising wonders with yarn, including flat pieces that include purling and knitting both. The instructions are fairly easy to read, better than most knitting patterns. I could use a circular knitterfor socks because socks aren't that easy to knit at all.
I just started Loom Knitting this year thinking I could pick up a loom, get on YouTube and start cranking out scarves and hats like a sweat shop. I made one successful hat from the loom’s provided instructions and then hopped on YouTube. I found a project I wanted to do anddddd immediately started getting frustrated!! Not only that but all the patterns online seemed to be written in some foreign language. K this P that, what in the world!! I decided to get this book to help me out. It was a HUGE help! I’ve made nearly half the projects in this book and they are all relatively easy and fun to accomplish. The beginning breaks down basic how to cast on, basic loom stitches and casting off with full color step by step instructions (which is perfect for me I’m a visual learner!) Each stitch is broken down Anything that didn’t click I’d look up the term on YouTube to have a random stranger teach me. I’d recommend this book for anyone just starting out on a loom. The basic fundamentals in this book open you up to a whole WORLD of loom knit projects.
