Famous Movie Detectives III

Rate this book
The movie careers of the world's most popular sleuths are chronicled in the third volume of this invaluable series of reference books. As with the two previous volumes, author Michael Pitts profiles not only the screen careers of each detective, but also other mediums in which they have been portrayed, including stage, radio, and television.

In addition to updating the volume to include recent representations of well-established detectives, this third volume includes new chapters on more than twenty screen sleuths not covered in the first two books, including television characters Jessica Fletcher and Spenser. It also provides new material on sleuths in silent films and serials, as well as a listing of radio and television detective programs. Along with a summary of each detective's films, Pitts provides extensive filmographies with detailed information on cast and production credits.
