Bones knows that no one messes with the President’s daughter, Emma, but tell that to his heart. He is given the job to keep her safe while she’s in New York and he is there when she needs him…until he breaks her trust. Now the President is ready to break him. This was a great addition to the Stoneheart MC series.
Bones would do anything for Stoneheart MC, the only family he's ever known, anything but stay away from Emma, the president's daughter. Ever since he was tasked with protecting her when he was 16 and she a rebellious 15, he's been in love with her. But she couldn't wait to get away, to go to New York and become a ballerina. After her last visit ended in her being kidnapped by the club's enemies, Bones's secret is out. He's lost his status in the club, his brothers' respect, and her. He's hoping she'll eventually choose to stay, but until then he's living every day having lost everything. After their loud and public reunion at the end of the last book, I was curious to read their story. Bones was such a closed off mysterious character. And no wonder! 13 years of pining lol! I thought Emma was spoiled and unreasonable expecting even more after Bones gave up everything for her, always there to protect her in every crazy stunt she pulled. I'm interested to see what happens next in the background story of their enemies. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The views and opinions expressed in this review are completely my own
Emma is heading home to NY after she had been back for a visit with the MC. But, she is the Princess of the Stoneheart MC, and she had been kidnapped. If, Bones hadn’t had chipped her, he never would have found and saved her. Since they were young teens, Bones has been protecting the headstrong MC Princess. This happened at the ending of the last book and they had finally, and loudly, given in to their urges and now, Stone, Emma’s father, was livid with Bones. Bones & Emma are steamy as all get out. Emma’s brother, Lee wasn’t as shocked as his father, nor as angry. Although, Emma left, she couldn’t get on the plane, so when Bones, showed up, they decided to drive back to NY. Stone is livid that Emma left without goodbyes and so soon after a trauma. Emma just wants to get back to her life in NY, being a prima ballerina, etc. Her emotions are all over the place. I like how Bones calls her Swan. Swans are fierce creatures and scary as all get out. Yes, they mate for life. But, they have a tendency not to stand tall when walking, so when they do, and you’ve been feeding them and the ducks, like my mom, brother and I had when I was a teen, a swan stood up when we ran out, and my mom was like “get in the car!” Omg, that was so freaking scary. When it stood up fully it was taller than my mom, was barely 5 feet tall.
In this book, we learn so much about Bones, and Emma it was fascinating. Bones has always shown up for her, whenever she needed him. So when Bones, is punished for not following orders after driving her to NY, she comes back after a while and finds out everything her father did to Bones. OMG, I get he should be punished but Stone took it to overkill. The fact that Emma gets ticked about it, just made me love her more. Bones is actually a bit different because of everything that happened. It upset me a lot and Emma with how he now acts because Stone put the fear of him in him. The MC is Bones’ only family and he afraid to lose them. I have always loved how the MC takes care of its own. Then on top of all the emotional drama, they have to deal with the return of Summit. I would also like to thank the author for bringing mental illness and panic attacks into the book. The stigma of having that problem, needs to be addressed. IT is like any other illness except that people treat those that have that problem horribly. More and more people have anxiety and panic attacks nowadays. That means that people should know what to do when someone has it, so they can be helped. My dad has panic attacks and has had them for over 40 years. I, myself have anxiety attacks now for about the last ten years.
I loved how the MC dealt with Summit and how they used things the proper way to deal with them. I also thought Stone and Josie were cute together. I’m glad that Emma stood up to her father and told him what was in her heart. I love how the old ladies helped each other and the community. I hate that Summit is a precursor of the cartel and that Emma had to deal with more trauma. I was very happy with the ending. I can’t wait for the next book.

Emma Stone didn’t leave Stoneheart because she hated it—she left because she was trying to outrun who she really was. Ballet, discipline, and a polished New York life gave her control, but it also trapped her in a version of herself that never quite fit. When an injury ends her career and forces her home, she’s left facing not only the club she came from—but Bones, the man who has been her shadow, her protector, and her constant since she was fifteen.
Bones is peak slow-burn obsession done right. Thirteen years of watching. Waiting. Letting her go again and again because he believed it was what she needed, even when it tore him apart. He’s intense, possessive, and absolutely unapologetic about loving her, and while his protectiveness sometimes pushes into overkill territory, it fits the MC world and his role within it. This is not a gentle romance—it’s raw, territorial, and emotionally charged.
The chemistry between Emma and Bones is explosive, but what really makes their story work is the emotional weight behind it. They don’t just have passion—they have history, regret, guilt, and a lifetime of unspoken truths to untangle. Emma isn’t perfect, and her reckless streak can be frustrating at times, but her journey back to herself—especially how she reclaims her love of dance in a new way—is deeply satisfying.
The club drama and external threats add tension without overshadowing the romance, serving as a gritty backdrop rather than the main event. This is, at its core, a story about belonging—choosing where you stand, who you are, and who gets to claim your heart.
If you love MC romances with years of pining, a fiercely devoted hero, a heroine reclaiming her wild nature, and a love that was never really lost—just delayed—Etched in Stone delivers heat, heart, and a hard-earned sense of home.

Emma is the daughter of Stone, the president of the MC, and she’s been close with the club’s intel guy, Bones, since they were teenagers. When Emma is kidnapped, Bones does what he’s always done—he goes after her without hesitation and brings her home. But when he defies club orders to protect her, things blow up fast. Stone strips Bones of his club rank, and all the messy, unresolved family issues come roaring to the surface. Emma’s relationship with her father has always been rocky—she still resents him for choosing the MC over his family—while Bones makes it painfully clear that he would give up everything for her without a second thought.
I really enjoyed how this story dug into the complexity of relationships and didn’t shy away from old wounds, both physical and emotional. All that history added so much depth, and I loved how the author tied everything together. This isn’t a quick insta-love read—the plot is layered and detailed, but it’s also very well executed. The overarching threat of Summit continues to build across the series adds another level of depth to the story. I’m not usually an MC-romance reader, but I found myself completely pulled into the Stoneheart world with its strong sense of loyalty, found family, and wide cast of characters who truly have each other’s backs. I also loved that Bones and Emma were introduced in an earlier book—it made their story here even more satisfying. And now that Stone and Josie have been circling each other for so long… I already know their book is going to be one I won’t want to miss.

This book has everything you would expect from a MC romance. Bad boys with good hearts, women who love them, drama, and heat.
Bones is a patched in member of the MC. He holds an officer position. His heart belongs to Emma and has since he first met her when he was sixteen.
Emma is the MC princess. Her father, Stone, is the president of the club. When she was thirteen and a bit wild he assigned Bones to keep watch over her. Over the years Bones has been there for her whenever she needed him, even when she was in New York as a ballerina. When her body starts to give out and she comes home to visit things heat up between her and Bones, especially when she finds out exactly how he knows when she is in trouble and needs him.
Six months go by, she hasn't heard from him at all, even when she puts herself in danger on purpose, hoping he would come. So she returns home, to the MC, to confront him. That's when she finds out her father took his officer position and forbid him to have any contact with Emma, even threatening to take his club patch if Bones goes against him. But they can't stay away from each other, so they face Stone together.
Now the town is in trouble. A corporation is playing dirty and trying to take over. The MC will do whatever it takes to protect their own. When the dust clears Emma might finally realize she is home.

When last we saw Bones and Emma, he had rescued her from kidnappers because he had secretly injected a tracker in her years before. (Bones might have a little issue with boundaries). Then they returned to the clubhouse and had really wild, really LOUD bow-chicka-wow-wow. Bones has always come to Emma’s rescue. Sometimes she engages risky behavior just so he will rescue her. They have been dancing around each other for years, since she was fifteen and he was sixteen and he fell in love with her. They’ve got this weirdly codependent relationship because neither one is able to admit how they feel. And her dad, the MC president, has forbidden Bones from going near Emma. This is all delicious. Forbidden love, he falls first, first love, safe stalking… and it makes for a really good book. One where both main characters experience personal growth and I love that. The community plot is also good, with the club taking an interesting strategy against Summit and its nefarious plot to take over the town to use it as a corridor for illegal substances trafficking. It’s a very intelligent strategy, and I liked it. Cat’s Stats Book is SAFE. Heat is EXPLICIT. TROPES include forbidden love, he falls first, safe stalking, first love, secret crush, dysfunctional family FTW, and adorable moppets.

I am loving the Stoneheart MC and after how book four finished I was impatiently waiting to get my hands on this one.
The club Princess has returned home, though the circumstances aren't ideal (a kidnapping will ruin the mood) but Emma knew Bones would come for her, he always does. Since he was 16 years old, he knew Emma was his even if she didn't want to admit it.
Years of Pining, waiting and covertly stalking (through a secret tracking device) Bones finally makes his move only to have to face the repercussions of the MC for breaking rules for the woman he loves.
If you've read any of the previous books you'll know we're not dealing with a sweet no drama romance, Summit is back and hiding in plain sight. Bones is the man for the Intel job, but can he earn back the trust of the club he "shunned" for the woman of his dreams.
5 star read, I definitely recommend getting this series on your tbr. You won't regret it. I'm fully invested in this series, I'm excited to see what happens next as we get to read about Stone and Josie.
Bones has watched and protected Emma since he was 16 years old. He has known she is his swan but knows he needs to let her live her life away from Stoneheart and make her career as a ballerina in New York. In the aftermath of her kidnapping and unable to get on her flight, Bones drives her back there against the orders of her father and his MC president. Their relationship runs hot and intense on the road trip but ultimately, he lets her go again. The MC is his life, and he cannot leave it altogether. I loved Bones though his protectiveness went a bit far. Emma, I had a bit of a problem with, as in her petulant actions like purposely getting herself into dangerous situations thinking he was going to rescue her as always. It is a long and traumatic process for them to get their HFN/HEA and that made me sad.
Etched in Stone by Megan Wade is the fifth book in the co-authored Stoneheart Motorcycle Club series. I loved this book that has a story and characters you fall in love with. Emma is a prima ballerina but grew up as an MC club princess, as Stone's daughter. She has proven herself over and over and lived a life of discipline, devotion and no distractions. But when her ankle breaks her perfectly constructed world does a 180 and she comes back to Stoneheart and the club. Bones is one of the MC members and it was his job to track and watch over Emma, keeping her safe and out of trouble, as much as he could that is. He fell in love with her then and now she is back he is still in love with her. He wants to claim her as his but there will be consequences for that...for both of them.
I am loving this series! Emma (Stone’s daughter/the MC Princess) returns home from NYC. The tension has been flowing between her and Bones for some time and boy does it emerge with a passionate fire! I was sitting in a Chinese Buffet reading this and it was just as spicy as the General Tso’s chicken. Emma and Bones have passion but they also have a lot of baggage to work through. Bones is a bit over the top when it comes to her but MC guys have that edge and his shows up in this story! The battle between the MC and Summit continues but it is not the focus…it is the backdrop to their story. I loved how Emma figures out how to share the love of dance with others and have the joy return to the act.
If you have been following the drama occurring in Stoneheart you are going to love this one. Bones has been in love with Emma since they were teenagers. However, being the daughter of the prez he knows he has to love from afar. He is given the job to keep her safe. Even when she is in NYC dancing at the ballet he is there when she needs him. That is until it comes out that he has a tracker on her without her permission. Her dad is furious and strips Bones of everything. She returns to NYC but then comes back home with an injured ankle that stops her dancing. This brings the two them closer and we get to see how everyone deals with the appearance of a group trying to buy up the town. Lots going on on this that keeps it interesting!
Emma is two people the club Princess and Prima Ballerina. The club keeps calling her back even when kidnapped it’s the club that saves oh should I say Bones. The man who has loved for years and always been these fore her. Taking his job as her protector to high levels, butting a tracker in her. Kidnapping, injury , one very angry dad are some of the things that will keep your head turning. I loved Bones how he grows into a man of strength and loved Emma since the two of them were teenagers. She pushed and pushed and he took and took, losing everything and still stood by her side.
Drama, spice, emotions and romance.

I have so been looking forward to Bones and Emma's story, to see what happened after 'that' moment in the guest suite, and I have not been disappointed. Their story took me on a journey, one where I wanted to hug them and shake them but never doubted them ending up together. I felt their pain, believed in their connection, chemistry and in them as a couple. I liked seeing them be open and honest, seeing them fight to be together, lean on each other and support one another too. I also liked seeing the community come together and seeing so much love than shone in the dark as well as the light.

I have been waiting for this book! I absolutely love Bones and Emma and I was not disappointed! Bones and Emma have loved each other for thirteen years but could never act on it. Bones is the ruthless protector but turns into a big teddy bear around Emma, the independent and feisty ballerina. I loved the passion between them, as hard as they try to deny they can't resist each other. The perfect balance of tension, high stakes suspense, and extremely spicy moments. I am hooked to the Stoneheart MC series!

Emma. What a fantastic woman in this. Her growth was amazing to see. Running from who she was to live a more refined life, left her unsure about her choice when it came down to it. Once she realized where she was truly meant to be, she really blossomed. And I loved that Bones kept track of her. Made sure she was always safe and protected no matter. Just stood in the shadows and let her make her mistakes and figure out life for herself. When the two of them finally came together, it was an explosion. These two were meant to be together. That much was clear. The heat and spice from these two was epic. I really loved these two.
Emma is the presidents daughter, MC princess and prima ballerina in NYC. Bones was tasked with keeping Emma safe when they were teenagers and betrays everyone's trust when he implants a tracker on her. This could be considered a slow burn since it took them 13 years to act on their shared attraction but the story picks up after an explosive night between them. There isn't much action in this one and is more about the two of them finding their way through years of mistrust and betrayal. Plenty of steam. I liked Bones, he was steadfast and unwavering. Emma was a true princess and a bit spoiled.

She is MC royalty who goes after what she wants which was to dance only for her ankle to give out ending her career. She finds herself back inside the MC and beside the man that has truly loved her but let her go to pursue her interests. Now that she is back will thy finally get their chance to pursue the feelings growing between them. I loved this story that drew me in and had me connecting with Emma and Stone.

If you have been following the drama in Stoneheart, you are going to absolutely love this book! Bones and Emma’s story is intense, emotional, and impossible to put down.
Bones has been in love with Emma, the President’s daughter, since they were teenagers, but he’s always had to love her from afar. When he’s tasked with keeping her safe—even following her to the NYC ballet—the tension is palpable. Things take a major turn when a secret tracker is discovered, leading to a huge fallout with the Prez and Bones losing everything.
The story really deepens when Emma returns home with an injury that ends her dancing career. This vulnerability brings her and Bones closer than ever, all while the club deals with a mysterious group trying to buy up the town. There is so much going on in this plot that kept me completely hooked!
Megan Wade's collaborative Stoneheart MC series continues with the fifth installment, Etched in Stone. Bones and Emma are a spicy-sweet age-gap inevitability. But she is the Prez' daughter, and he has always been her protector. But the heart wants what it wants. As always, Megan Wade delivers a sweet and swoony romance you will not want to put down.

Bones has looked out for Emma for years. Things change for Emma and she finally realizes where her home really is. I enjoyed their love journey full of protectiveness, angst, vulnerability, emotion, passion and realization. Bones was swoonworthy with his wise ways in handling Emma’s emotional needs. As always the Stoneheart MC family rallies and protects their own. Great series.

I have been waiting for Bones to get his story and I loved every minute. There’s plenty of MC action, and the tension between Bones and Stone regarding some OTT methods in keeping Emma (MC Princess/Stone’s daughter) safe. Add to that, the suspenseful understory of involving Summit and the community which links each book in the series. This is full of banter, angst, danger, chemistry, growth, family, steam, romance and action. I love the Stoneheart MC and look forward to more soon.
Emma and Bones finally get their story - the tension, the family dispute and the continuing issues in the community are all featured in this story. Lots of heat along with a lot of emotional growth with great support from the family.

We are back with the Stoneheart MC. This time with Bones and Emma. These two are absolute🔥🥵! I love a good forbidden relationship and what's more forbidden in an mc than the club princess?! While some.. cough cough Stone, may have felt that Bones took his possessive qualities a bit too far, I thought it was wonderful and such a greenish red flag 🤣.
Bones has secretly loved Emma since he started protecting her, but she's the MC President's daughter. These two go through a lot in this book, making it a great read. From the danger, suspense, MC drama, and angst, to the steam, unexpected twists, and the great ending, this is a wonderful addition to the multi-author Stoneheart Motorcycle Club series. I didn't know if I would like Emma and for a while I didn't. But the more I read the more I liked her and bones, the more I couldn't put the book down.
