Songs I Rote

I bought a guitar in 1969, and every now and then, “poof,” another song would leap into my head (from where I don’t know) and get written down and eventually performed. There are 50 original songs here [We Shall Overcome was just arranged by me in1983], including the lyrics and the sheet music (for two or three voices). As well, 18 of my songs were recorded by my long-gone band, “Evolution,” either at outdoor concerts, rallies or in recording studios. All recorded songs are noted *** in the book’s list of songs, and all these recordings have been uploaded onto my YouTube channel (jimstarksings). And yes, I do know that the past tense of “write” is not “rote,” but “wrote,” with a silent “w.” (I find myself on occasion prompted to misspell a word out of sheer spight. Go figure.)
