Have you ever picked up a book and made an immediate connection with it? This was the feeling I had when I first opened Seasons Of Love: Celebrating The Tender Moments Of Life. I was hit with a force that radiated a soft glow of warmth that penetrated straight into my soul. Every story touched my heart in ways that no other book has ever come close to in many years. As I finished each story, I reflected at the overall meaning the writer was conveying to me; I was able to feel their pain, sorrow, and triumph. It allowed me to get in touch with deep emotions I had forgotten I had. I choose the early morning hours to read each story. I felt this was the only part of the day that set the tranquil mood needed for such a special book. The soft pink hue that encased the font provided a relaxing atmosphere as I read each memorable revelation. The inviting cover and inspiring Bible quotes gave me an uplifting look to each new day.
This book is composed of the author's interviews with many well known names, such as Nancy Reagan, Ruth Bell Graham, and Libby Hodge. Each person shared a part of themselves as they revealed their most personal life-changing events. The true meaning of love flowed from each story. I found myself more than once shedding a tear at the tenderness each one was shared.
I highly recommend Seasons of Love: Celebrating the Tender Moments of Life to anyone who appreciates a book that will allow you to get in touch with your innermost feelings. I feel this book is a must have for all church libraries, for it provides a message of hope, salvation, and the true meaning of love.
