This small town, second-chance romance had my heart from chapter one. Dean Carson is the standard when it comes to book bf's! I would do anything for this man! The way Dean and Verity pined after each other was nothing short of beautiful. Dean knew he wanted her and the kids. He did everything to protect them. The story does go back and forth between timeliness, but it's is nessasary to understand their love story. Some of the twists I wasn't expecting. The whole time Verity and the kids were in the house I told them to get out! Ruby did an excellent job at setting the scene with the old farmhouse. I was happy with a mention of a certain character that was from other books! Great plot and flow of the story. I would highly recommend!
