Covering Nicholson's films from Cry Baby Killer right up to his latest performances in Wolf and The Crossing Guard, this book is a must for any film fan.
Once again you're at the mercy of the idiot critic/writer--along with all the other ones he quotes; and everything's "existential" and "ambiguity" (and even "existential ambiguity"). I only hope Nicholson himself isn't nearly the stiff about that stuff he sounds like from his quotes. The writer seems to be in the midst of learning how to hold his pen; but still he can't just tell me about the films (or even what he thinks about them)--but has to tell me (like all these jerks) what I think about them. Pretty Kafkaesque I'd say.
