I was lucky to find this important new book on epilepsy, a topic I’m interested in for professional and personal reasons. I’m fairly new to the “for dummies” universe and put sumply, this is excellent. It is hard to image anyone who would not be able to benefit and find needed information, thanks to the content and layout but also infographics and accessible language. Distilling a disease as complex and variable so we all can benefit from the information is a great skill. Highly recommend!

With a compassionate, practical voice, Dr. Elizabeth Thiele, a foremost expert in the field, explains epilepsy without ever oversimplifying it—covering everything from etiology to up-to-date treatment options and concrete strategies for care. This should be in every library, issued to every patient (or their parent), and required reading for every educator.
