Everything I craved was in the depths of Hell—and I knew I'd explore every sexual fantasy that ever crossed my mind.
That's where I met Cassius Wolfe–the devil himself.
He was the kind of man who made the entire room fall quiet. A man who snapped his fingers and his men wouldn’t hesitate to shoot you between the eyes.
He was the man who promised to ravage me while he was in the city, and he kept his promise.
I knew nothing of Cassius Wolfe before this weekend, and now I couldn't get him out of my mind.
The only problem? I had to wait an entire year to see him again.
Ravage is a prequel to Ruin, a very dark romance that will trigger you. This book is not for the light of heart. This spicy dark romance is intended for mature audiences only.
Elizabeth Knox is a USA Today Bestselling romance author who specializes in romantic suspense, and dark romance. She’s well-known for her intense page-turning motorcycle clubs, and sinister dark mafia books.
While Elizabeth loves to write, she is an avid reader as well, who reads a mixture of genres. She lives on a farm with her husband in the northeastern United States with her rescue animals. When she isn’t working, you can find her horseback riding, riding ATVs, or out on the farm with her animals.
This was a fantastic novella ! It’s a quick dark and steamy read that I devoured! It has a OTT dominant Alpha and a broken but beautiful young h who is running from the pain and trauma of her past. This story is a prelude and sets the foundation for Ruin . It’s dark sexy and dangerous and I’m here for it!.

Firstly let me start with 5 star rating not being enough. This was definitely way up there.
There is a full description of the storyline on the web page, so if this is not for you then kindly bypass. For lovers of Elizabeths work you won’t be disappointed.
Selene Deveraux - Judges daughter @ 17 witnessed a horrific event. Now lives a beige life -man, home … just.
* Purgatory * 🔥🔥🔥
- Hello “Little Lamb”
Cassius Wolfe - now there’s a name to drool over. A man who creates/created the darkness.
Ok… that is enough. OMG. The prequel is amazing. But let’s be honest, not for the faint hearted. There are trigger memories here. I’ve always stated creating a foundation to a storyline can make or break. This is definitely making its way to a skyscraper.
Decadence at its best. There are no words to express the prequel. This will leave you seeking more and not wanting to end. Profoundly intoxicating.
Reiterating “ readers do be aware. This is a DARK read. There is no sugar coating it. You will be taken to the depths of Hell and probably be seeking more. There is no kindness here.
Omg! This book definitely had me in a chokehold. I definitely won't give any spoilers. But if you love your MMC morally Grey and your FMC willing to explore her darker side this is it. The spice is top notch!.

🖋 Un mot, trouvé alors qu'elle avait laissé le livre ouvert, me fait bander : « Je veux qu'on me retire le choix. Je veux être forcée de ressentir. »
.
Ces mots me font frissonner.

RAVAGE is the prequel novella to Elizabeth Knox’s contemporary, adult RUIN dark, erotic, BDSM romance series focusing on Cassius Wolfe, and Selene Deveraux
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there WILL BE triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Selene and Cassius) RAVAGE follows the unconventional relationship between owner of the underground $ex club H8ll, and twenty-three year old Selene Deveraux. Approximately eight year earlier Selene Deveraux’s life imploded, and in the ensuing time our heroine struggled to make sense of what happened and why. Searching for something, anything to help her feel, our heroine finds herself at Club H8ll wherein all of her needs will be addressed by the darkness that is Cassius Wolfe. Three days of total control, Cassius is determined to break the woman he cannot forget but when Selene demands more, Cassius pushes Selene to rethink what it is she needs.
The world building is dangerous and dark; an atypical and unconventional pairing between a woman who is lost, and a man who is determined to own our heroine body and soul. The relationship between Selene and Cassius is gritty and dark; the $ex scenes are provocative and unique.
The secondary and supporting characters are interesting and dynamic. We are introduced to Cassius’ right hand man Vincent: owner of Purgatory Lucian, as well as Selene’s best friend Emilia, and her ex David.
RAVAGE is a story of secrets and lies, power and control, death and destruction, acceptance and loss. The character driven premise is dark, gritty and dramatic; the romance is limited to sexual domination and submission; the characters are desperate and broken. RAVAGE ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.
In the shadowed prelude to Ruin, fifteen-year-old Selene's world shatters when she witnesses the brutal murder of her parents, hidden in the depths of their home. For the next eight years, she drifts through a colorless existence—endless therapy sessions, a suffocating routine, and a boyfriend who's also her therapist, wrapping her in layers of protective cotton wool. But a whisper in group therapy ignites a spark: tales of Purgatory, a clandestine haven where boundaries dissolve. Determined to reclaim her life, Selene steps into its enigmatic embrace, faced with a fateful choice—Heaven's serene allure or Hell's intoxicating chaos. She chooses Hell. There, Cassius reigns supreme, the enigmatic owner whose hands are stained with the blood of Selene's past—he was the killer that fateful night, and he's known of her impending arrival, eager to witness the woman she's become. From the moment she enters, Selene ensnares his gaze. Drawn inexorably to him, she approaches and kneels at his side, igniting a fire neither can ignore. Cassius whisks her to a private chamber, claiming her as his for one night... but passion stretches it to three scorching days. As he toys with the idea of making her his forever, Selene's defiance breaks one of his ironclad rules. Will Cassius cast her out into the void? And will the truth of his dark connection to her unravel their twisted bond?.

This is the short and steamy dark prequel to Ruin featuring the OTT obsessed dominant alpha Cassius and Selene who's never been the same since she saw a masked man kill her parents when she was just a teenager. Selene is tired of how everyone treats her like she's fragile but she knows better from all the therapy which has shown her that there's something inside of her yearning to let loose. When Selene learns about Purgatory from someone else that's suffering trauma she knows that's where she must go. Cassius is a cruel and ruthless man who rules Purgatory's "Hell" and he's also the masked man who killed her parents. He's aware of the fact that Selene is coming to Purgatory to "Hell" and he's curious to see Selene now. Once he sees Selene she immediately captures his interest and they agree to 3 nights although Cassius is considering keeping Selene. Until Selene doesn't follow one of his rules and challenges him in front of his men. Is Cassius going to keep Selene or send her away? Is Selene ever going to learn just who Cassius really is to her? You really need to read this captivating dual POV, short and steamy, deliciously dark age-gap, bdsm prequel that ends on a cliffhanger to see what happens.

Cassius Wolfe exudes confidence, dominance and respect; people move aside when he walks, obey his orders at the drop of a hat and are slaves to his seductive charm. Selene has been numb for 8 years, since her parents were unalived and is ready to do something that will make her feel alive again. She ends up at Purgatory, a s*x club where she finds her way into 'Hell', where Cassius rules and she catches his eye, becoming his for 3 days.
Cassius is ruthless, cruel and demands obedience from everyone. Selene is fed up with her "boring" life and is looking to finally accept the darkness within. She's looking for danger, pleasure mixed with pain, to be owned, and to figure out exactly who she is.
After the three super steamy and intense nights, and despite her pleas, she is sent away for a year to figure out what it is she wants and if she's able to live in Cassius's world.
The story was captivating, and I read the book in one go. I hope Ruin comes out soon - I can't wait to find out what happens next!

Ravage is a raw and unforgettable dark romance that pulls no punches. As the prequel to Ruin, it lays the foundation for Selene and Cassius Wolfe’s darkly magnetic connection. Most of the story unfolds inside Wolfe’s notorious club, Purgatory, a setting that is equal parts alluring and dangerous, perfectly mirroring the fine line between ecstasy and torment.
In just over a hundred pages, Elizabeth Knox creates a world that feels disturbingly real, where morality blurs and the shadows of desire consume the light. The writing is unapologetically gritty, peeling back the layers of dominance and submission with an intensity that lingers long after the last page. This is not a story for the faint of heart, triggers abound, but for readers drawn to the darker edges of romance, it’s a visceral, intoxicating ride.
What I loved most is how Ravage exposes the raw, unfiltered beginnings of Selene and Wolfe. It gives depth, context, and a sharper edge to their relationship, making the series feel even more addictive. Elizabeth Knox has crafted something both brutal and beautiful, and I’ve loved every dark, dangerous step of this journey.

This is the prequel for Ruin. Selene saw her parents get killed when she was 15. For eight years she has lived a beige life, doing therapy, not doing anything exciting and her boyfriend is a therapist who coddles her. Selene heard about Purgatory from someone in group therapy. Selene decides she wants to let herself live. Selene goes to Purgatory and has the choice between Heaven and Hell. She decides to go to Hell. Cassius is the man who owns Hell and he is the man who killed Selene’s parents while she was in the house. Cassius knew that Selene was coming to Hell and he was interested to see how she has grown in the last eight years. Selene is immediately caught in Cassius’ attention. Selene approaches Cassius and knees by his side. Cassius takes Selene to a room and tells her that she will be his for a night but that turns into three. Cassius considers keeping her but she disobeys one of his rules. Will Cassius send Selene away? Will Selene ever find out who Cassius is to her? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book via Booksprout.
Since this is a prequel, it is a short, very dark read with a cliffhanger. When Selene was fifteen, a masked intruder killed her mother and father. For eight years, she's been treated like glass because of that trauma. Everyone thinks she is too soft and they create a buffer around her. Selene knows she has a darkness inside that wants to break free and when she overhears another trauma victim talking about Purgatory, she knows where she needs to go to feed that darkness. Cassius rules Purgatory's Hell and is also the one who murdered Selene's parents. He tries to turn Selene away but she is determined to experience all that Hell and Cassius have to offer. He agrees to give her three nights and debates on keeping her. After she disobeys him and confronts him in front of his men, he sends her away for a year. Selene is to use that year to become harder and prove to him that she belongs in his world.

This is a prequel to a new series by Miss Knox, slightly different world from her previous books but still as intriguing and engaging as ever. We are introduced to Selene a young woman who has been damaged and traumatised by the loss of her parents, for 8 yrs she has been living or rather existing in a dull life and relationship, it’s time for a change therefore visits a club where she meets the enigmatic and domineering Cassius Wolfe whom takes charge of her to do as he pleases for 3 days. Not really sure how I feel about the MCs atm. Is Selene weak for letting Cassius treat her like he does? Does Cassius have any redeeming qualities? What will happen when the truth is revealed? All very good questions that Im looking forward to finding the answers to in the next book RUIN let’s hope we don’t have to wait a year for it like Selene! 😜best to read the tw’s as this is not a rainbow and unicorn type of read. It is dark, ruthless, cruel and steamy. This prequel has piqued my interest and raised my temperature to hot, hot, hot.

I don't even know that I can say much about this book. It is a short fast read as you would expect with a prequel. It is the prequel to Ruin. At the age of fifteen, Selene's world is shattered when she witnesses the murder of her parents. Eight years later and she is floating through life merely existing. She goes to endless therapy sessions, has a routine that I don't think most people could handle. However, now she is determined to reclaim her life and has a choice to make. Her choice puts her in Cassius cross hairs. He is a man with more blood on his hands than you can imagine and is not innocent in Selene's story. He knows that she is coming into his world and can't wait to see the woman she has become. I don't know that he was expecting their gazes to lock when she first arrives and her end up at his side kneeling there. I have to stop talking about this or I will give something away. I loved getting this peak into their story and I can't wait to have Ruin in my hot little hands.
The dark and steamy prequel to Ruin, Ravage is a quick read and gives us the story of Selene that at fifteen, watched her parents murdered by a masked gunman. Ten years later she is sick of the suffocating life she is living, with therapy, boring boyfriend and boring life all highlighting her fragility because of PTSD, she overhears another trauma patient talking about a club called Purgatory and how it’s run by a cruel and ruthless man Cassius Wolfe, he is also the masked man who killed her parents. He's has been watching and waiting for years for Selene and finally she sees turns up at the club. He sees Selene and she immediately captures his interest, he can’t believe how immediately submissive she is and offers her 3 nights with him. Is Cassius going to keep Selene or send her away? Is Selene ever going to learn just who Cassius really is to her? A fascinating and addictive read, it is dark and it is incredibly steamy but oh my goodness I can’t wait to read Ruin! I received an advanced reader’s copy of this book via BookSprout and I am writing this review voluntarily
This is a great start to a new series. The characters are connected thur an event that set into motion their world colliding. Cassius and Selene are on a collision course that has shaken them both. He because he’s the reason she’s the way she is, and him because of making her that way. They both are looking for closure, but also feelings to feel alive. Cassius sets a three day trial for Selene, to see if she means what she says she wants, but along the way he starts to feel things for her he hasn’t felt before. When he lets her go with the promise that is one years he will take her back if she still wants to be with him. Selene is in over her head, but wants to be because he makes her feel alive and she can feel again. Her feelings are starting to grow along with his and they are both scared to death about that. Selene leaves for the year, collared and setting out to prove that she belongs in his underworld and to him and no-one else.
An excellent novella that brings the darker side of a young woman to the forefront after years trying to rid herself of the trauma of what happened when she was younger. The young woman is drawn to a private club whose lower level is dark and dangerous as well as the man who governs the lower level. The man trains her to be his submissive and later as his other half. The man is keeping a secret from her about her past. The woman stays with him for a while watching the man tend to his business until she stops him from tending to business. The man has her sleep alone and the next day he has her leave to figure out what she wants even though neither one of them wants to be away from the other. The man gives the woman a year to either become like him or to decide to stay in her normal world. Both want the other even though secrets may break them apart if they would ever come to the light of day.

Expect the unexpected with Cassius and Selene! I was hooked when Selene breaks off with her ex needing something more out of life since witnessing her parents’ murders years before and heads to Purgatory with the idea she needs something darker in her life. Selene’s entrance to the lower level comes with surprise, but she is not deterred by the lure from Cassius who names her “little lamb”. As Selene discovers what she was missing in life, Cassius might feel something more for the first time in his life, but knows his secret may ruin everything between them. When Selene’s ex makes noise, will Selene’s overture towards her ex ruin everything? Cassius leaves her with a purpose of finding what she truly needs over the next year, that will have you hoping the next book in the series comes out soon!
A short but steamy romance staring Cassius Wolfe and Selene. Cassius is domineering, confident but narcissistic. Poor Selene has been dead inside for the past 8 years since her parent died. Wanting to feel anything, she goes to a sex club, Purgatory, where Cassius finds her and he rules over her for 3 days. I didn’t care for his cruelty but she was looking to feel anything and that’s what she got. I think I’m losing my desire for sex club books but this was a good read if you still like those men who use sex as a way to hide their pain and vulnerabilities. Cassius is ruthless, cruel and demands obedience from everyone. Three nights later, he sends her away for a year. I wanted him to soften and change much more than he did but we’ll have to wait for the next book, Ruin.

Wow!! Cassius is dangerously dark in all ways and he’s the master of his domain! Selene seeks darkness, pain and pleasure, and something that she can’t define! Together, they’re scorched earth and she’s found her place while he’s not convinced she can survive in his world. Elizabeth Knox’s prequel is unrestrained, a BDSM of epic proportions, and the TW should be noted! 10/10 spice, a plot that is addictive, and exquisitely written dialogue that’s haunting and disturbing! I love Selene’s determination to show him how well she fits in his arms and his dominance is utterly astounding! I can’t wait to read the next book!!.

I just want to say, before I share my thoughts, that this really is a dark romance, depicting scenes that could be triggering, so please be aware before picking up this book.
Now, onto my thoughts. I have to say, this book is slightly darker than other dark romance stories that I've read before, but I loved it. Both Cassius and Selene are broken in their own ways - with Cassius being the cause for Selene's trauma. But despite all of that, I found myself wanting them to be together. Which I know is strange.
Whether Cassius and Selene would work as a couple, that remains to be seen; but I am very much interested to see where their relationship is heading.

This is the prequel to a new series, and this is Cassius and Selene’s journey. Selene witnessed her parents’ murders when she was only 15, and she has been living life in a bubble ever since, but now 5-years later, she finds out about Purgatory from someone in group therapy, and she makes the choice between Heaven and Hell, and she chooses hell. Cassius owns Hell, and knows Selene is coming, and he is curious about how she has developed in the past 8-years, since he killed her parents. This is a well written action packed, easy and quick read story, with making choices, lies, tension, deceit, and leads to a twisted, and entertaining, dark romance. I like this author and have read all the MC books/series she has written. This book is different. MC books have drama and violence but are usually measured for the better. This story is much darker and there are triggers that should be heeded. The FMC has issues which lead her to the dark and sinister side of BDSM. The MMC is dominant and depraved, using and utilizing pain and punishment as control measures. She seeks pain and injury and he is encouraged and satisfied by the satisfaction he gains. It is brutal and debased in their environment. I am not sure if it will work for either of them as the future cannot be determined at this time.

“It’s very nice. Dark, but nice.” - Kermit the Frog I liked this. It’s got all the elements of a tragedy without extinguishing hope. The story is intriguing, and certainly creative. It’s not the typical Mafia Romance. It’s the prequel to a full novel which has yet to be published. MMC/FMC- Cassius and Selene Safety? Aw, H E L L S no! Triggers- violence, Unaliving people, language, non con, humiliation Heat- BDSM Tropes- Hot with Plot, To Sir With Love, Collaring, Toys for Grownups, Ruin Me, Secret Life, Instalust, Mob, Hot Zex Cold Blood.
This is a prequel to Ruin, Selena witnessed the murder of her parents at fifteen. That event has had a dark influence one her life, though she hides that part of herself. Here well ordered life complete with boyfriend that does not make her feel anything.
She hears of a place called Purgatory and knows she has to see this play out. Cassius Wolfe is the King of Purgatory's "Hell", what she does not know is he is the man who took out her parents, and he knows exactly who she is.
This is a dark story and is just the beginning, some may find it triggering for what Cassius put her thru. I cannot wait for the rest of the story.

Ravage is the Prequel to Ruin, which is the story of Selene and Cassius. This book is RED HOT and will have you reaching for something cold to drink and turning on the fan. This is a dark story with potential triggers, and some heartbreak. When Selene was a teenager she saw her parents killed by a masked man. No one was ever caught for the crime and she has never been the same since. He runs the "Hell" in the club Purgatory. He is dark, cruel, and dangerous, but also has a magnetism that is electric. He is also the masked man from the worst night of Selene's live. When she goes to Purgatory and they connect you know things are about to get dark, dangerous and wild to say the least.
What a fascinating and intriguing fast-paced story. This might just be a prequel but the author really packs in the details to give you just enough of a story to keep you wanting more. I loved the age gap component and that it was a dark romance. I also really liked the storyline plus the twists and that big secret hanging out in the dark unbeknownst to the FMC. I can't wait to find out what the FMC is going to do with that jaw dropping secret. This is an absolute must read and I cannot wait for the next piece of the story.

Ravage...holy heck! And this is only a prequel! Selene enters the very dark world of Purgatory. There she meets Cassius Wolfe, a living nightmare. Elizabeth Knox has created an incredibly dark and depraved world. If triggers aren't your thing, maybe this isn't for you. But if you are willing to explore all, I think this series will be an interesting trip down the rabbit hole. Ravage has grabbed my attention and I want to see where this goes. Heaven help us but we need more.
This book is the prequel to the main event, Ruin, and it will certainly wet your appetite and leave you wanting the main course. The hotness and intensity will leave you on fire and wanting so much much more of Cassius Wolfe and his little lamb, Selene. They have a connection, one which Selene is unaware of, but what will happen when she finds out the truth? I cannot wait for the next book because this book left us asking so many questions and the anticipation is building. Absolutely fabulous.
