Act like an Ally, Work with an Ally is a practical guide for anyone who wants to build mutually beneficial partnerships with others so that they can help shape a workplace or community for change and inclusion.
There was more to learn about the topic of Allyship than I imagined, and the book really introduced, then explained different concepts and actions with everyday language, while referencing current research. I appreciated the view into both sides of the ally-partner relationship.
I enjoyed the scripts and talking points for allies and partners when faced with common scenarios for speaking up, making change, and getting the most from this unique relationship. I enjoyed the author’s personal stories illustrating the different concepts at the start of each chapter.
