An excellent introduction to the theology of each of the seven Sacraments. The chapter on Confirmation is especially excellent. The revised edition does not sufficiently update the 1964 original: some treatment is given of changes made after the Second Vatican Council, but not in sufficient depth to explain how these are to be understood according to the Thomistic theology being expounded. In some cases these updates introduce confusion or unanswered questions, and would have been better to have omitted. Still, this is a book I have frequently drawn on for both teaching and preaching.
