Dialogues 1: Ricochets

This is a collection of papers from the postgraduates and lectors of the French department of Exeter University, originally presented at fortnightly postgraduate seminars during the academic year 1996-1997. The articles range around the theme of 'le cycle' and range from medieval to modern subjects. Dialogues is first and foremost a collaborative project. It also provides a much needed form which encourages postgraduates embarking on an academic career to gain experience in writing articles for publication. This may also provide a springboard for further projects amongst participants. It is hoped that the book will encourage postgraduates in the early stages of their research, to feel involved and motivated in the writing process. This collection might be of interest to other postgraduates communities, or more generally, to students of French Lit/Society /English Lit. etc.
