According to the timeline from the Puranas - at the end of Dvapar yug war of dharma took place in Kurukshetra, during which the incarnation of the supreme bhagwan Vishnu — lord Krishna, sang the most beautiful, profound and pious song of wisdom. The mighty Arjun is in a fix because he is unable to decide whether he should fight against his kins or drop his weapon, for he thinks that winning a kingdom mired with the blood of his kith and kin is of no use for him. lord comforts him with the ultimate wisdom. The truth, the one thing - by knowing which - everything else is known. Wisdom so timeless that even today after 5000 years humanity finds it a beacon of hope. - The song reminds us our duties, our dharma. To be selfless in our everyday actions, to be unattached with the outcome of them and to serve the god with an intention to bring peace to humanity. Even though told in a battlefield it carries the greatest message of peace, contentment, Dhyan (meditation), yog (union with god) and Bhakti (devotion). No book is above this book, no wisdom is more relevant, no man can be a better author and no time in this small life is more precious than the one you spend reading this. Jai Shree Krishna 🙏🏽
