I just want to thank P.H Nix for this ARC copy (as she knows i go crazy to get my hands on any of her books). This was such a short and spicy read while very unhinged (as usual ofc 😈 wouldn’t expect anything less from mother).

I fear Talia and Brax will be my next hyper fixation until book 2 🫣 no spoilers…you’ll just have to read to find out why!

Bloody Vengeance probably leaves us with more questions than answers - but that’s true Nix fashion. I’m excited to see what’s next for Talia & Braxton.

I want to preface this review by saying Bloody Vengeance is a horror erotica. There are a lot of triggers in this book, and it is not going to be something that is for everybody. Please check the TW and know what this is before choosing to read it.

With that being said, I ate this book up! I love me a good revenge trope and Tati (the fmc) embodied that. I love how ruthless and savage she was on her path to revenge after her foster siblings' brutal deaths at the hands of one of her foster brothers. Tati was meant to die that night as well but was able to escape and ever since she has been waiting for her perfect moment to get revenge of her brother and his friends who brutally murder the rest of her foster family.

Tati meets Braxton (the MMC) during one of her killing sprees and the man becomes obsessed with her in the best way. I am usually not a fan of insta love but Braxton had me weak in the knees the entire time. I love him.

I devoured this book and loved the spice and plot. I have questions and I'm excited to read more in the series. Like I already need the next book. I think I highlighted just about everything Braxton said or thought about when it comes to Tati. I couldn't get enough of them!

I loved getting to watch Tati exact revenge and her and Braxton share this need due to Braxton losing his sister to the same people. While this story is obviously very dark and messed up, there is a lot of honestly funny moments, and I just loved the banter between these two. I don't normally love the dark rom com vibe, but I think due to level of depravity in this one it didn't feel too lighthearted and I genuinely found the jokes to be funny. P.H. Nix is pretty good at making me laugh in her books I will say. I love the love of unhinged in her characters.

I'm going to need the next book asap because I need more of Tati and Braxton. I feel like there is a lot more to come in this world and I'm excited for it. Also, I need to know what in the world Mikah is talking about...

Highly recommend if you are looking for a horror erotica centered around revenge, lots of torture and death, a baddie fmc and a down bad mmc that worships and lets her take control while still remaining dominate in his own regard. Oh, and some really good spice of course.

PLEASE check your triggers for this one, folks. It’s VERY dark. I’m not going to list them as Nox provides a lengthy list, but it is 100% accurate. If it’s not your thing, don’t read it. This is definitely an erotic horror romance. It walks a very fine line between straight out horror and horror romance.

15 years ago, Tati’s adoptive family was brutalized and murdered. The culprit? Her adoptive brother and his serial killer friends. They’ve all been groomed to be twisted sadists. Note the grooming!

This gang of killers is also responsible for the disappearance of Braxton’s sister, Emi. And that’s what sets our FMC and MMC up for a murderous meet cute full of gore and oral fun and starts them on a twisty cat and mouse game as they tease each other and seek vengeance for their past traumas.

Horror romance is a funny genre to me - it works best when there’s a strong plot woven with tongue-in-cheek humor and avoids the splatter gore vibe. This one walks the line between the two. There are parts that seem to be done for shock value, but ultimately, I’m intrigued by the wider world and overarching conspiracy. The Keres organization, a trained group of female assassins that took in Tati after losing both her birth and adoptive family, is a fantastic set up and framework for the Keres world and I’m eager to find out more. But certain sections - like Fredrick’s POV chapter where his torture of other side characters is told - seemed to play more for shock value to me.

Overall, this was a fun, quick read, and I’m eager to see what happens next with Tati and Brad.

Short, fast-paced erotic horror / thriller with masked characters and a female assassin hungry for vengeance. First book in the Keres Origins series.

I really enjoyed this book and devoured it in one sitting. Tati was an interesting FMC, sole survivor of the murder of her foster family, wanting revenge. She was strong and ruthless. The banter between her and the MMC, Braxton, was funny and brought some lightheartedness to the otherwise heavy and dark storyline. And the spice between them kept spicing.

I can’t wait to read more!

MA’AM ! What kind of ending, cliff hanging shxt was that!

This book felt like Mr & Mrs smith meets so wild deranged gory horror film! Except Tati and Brax aren’t married, they just have years of lusting over each other. Idk that’s the vibe they gave me lol.

Tati & Brax are both out for the same thing - revenge.

Tati is a total badass, she has survived one of the most brutal scenes I’ve read, she does revenge so well!

Brax is everything you want your book boyfriend to be, possessive, obsessed, spoils his girl and lets her be her!

This book was gory - there were times that I was like

You know that meme of SpongeBob trying to catch his breath next to a big rock? Yeah that was me during and after reading this book. This book started off IMMEDIATELY, with the tragedy that was the catalyst for Tati’s rage.

Her brother has a twisted sense of justice and decided to take it into his hands to correct it, but he misses someone. Tati. And she’s not gonna let him get away with it. She turned this into her life mission however to eliminate pretty much the scum of the world. Also the obsession from Brad is top tier, and how he lives for Tati and is always watching over her and out for (besides just always watching her with the cameras he sets up)

Usually I struggle reading things with flashbacks for some reason but Nyx writes in a while where I genuinely looked forward to the past to figure out what is going on. This is a pure gory, spicy, feminine rage book and I’m actually obsessed! This was my first books of hers and I’m hooked honestly. Definitely read the trigger warnings as this is a DARK book and erotic horror for a reason 🖤 but uhhh when’s the next one coming out ????

CHECK. YOUR. TRIGGERS. I can not express that enough.

That being said, holy moly was this good! I thought I was creative with the un-aliving thoughts. This took me by surprise!

We start with a brutal family murder. With our FMC (Tati) escaping. After witnessing her family being killed, she manages to escape through a window and hide. As she grows up, she uses her trauma to train herself into an assassin. A damn good one, too. She is now vigilante justice for those who seem to slip through the cracks. She is strong, beyond a bad ass, and beautifully depraved.

Brax, our MMC, is smoking hot and the next in line for what I think is the Japanese mafia (I could be wrong, brain damage, and short-term memory issues). He is obsessed with Tati. His sister was murdered by the same group that took Tati's family.

Combined, these two are ruthless together. Their chemistry is unmatched; their tag-team fighting skills make them a formidable couple.

The vengeance they reap together is just *chefs kiss*

This was bloody, hot, spicy, kept me on the edge of my seat, sooooo well written and exquisitely depraved. This one will live rent-free in my mind for a very long time!

When I say this book is a wild ride, take it literally and seriously haha check your triggers!

I loved this so much! This book does revenge like you have probably never read before. The FMC/MMC are absolutely morally black, and in the best way. The pacing was on point, and the villains of the story were absolutely vile, disgusting, and abhorrent which makes this book one that you will absolutely not forget! I was 100% hooked from the start and absolutely HAD to see what was going to happen. I was continuously on the edge of my seat, and truly eating up the slow burn romance (somewhat slow burn? You’ll get it when you read it!) Gotta love a possessive MMC too! I’m absolutely feral for it. The author’s writing was so detailed and easy to read that I could picture what was happening (which was, at times, like watching a horror movie because DAMN). If you love a gory, super dark (pitch black really), erotic horror with some romance too, this is for you! I read this one so fast! Here’s to waiting and hoping to get an ARC of book 2 because I’m absolutely not done!

First PLEASE check the trigger warnings. This one is brutal, raw, and unapologetically violent.

And then there’s Brax.

Who’s unhinged and obsessed asf. He saw her and decided. His version of courtship is… unconventional (and low-key stalker coded), but the man is determined to claim his girl. If he wanted to, he would and he did.

It’s dark. It’s twisted. It’s vengeance soaked in blood and obsession.

And that ending.

I was scrambling trying to connect all the dots. The who. The what. The WHY. I need answers right freaking now immediately.

As always P.H. Nix just wows me with her brilliant, descriptive, destructive, fiery writing. Her villains do not hold back in their deranged, horror filled violence, their behaviour warrants every trigger warning this book comes with! That's not to say the heroes are any less brutal and bloody in enacting their revenge and vengeance, they certainly aren't sunshine and rainbows. This book is undeniably dark, it is a erotic horror / thriller after all but the poetic and deep thought writing will have you questioning society and agendas. There is chemistry and connection between the characters that will make you gasp and dare I say it, cheer. An origins series that starts with a bang and leaves you only slightly satisfied as now I have more questions then I started with! Read the warnings and you'll know if this book is right for you.

NOW! This is my first Nix book and I promise you, I will be reading everything she has ever written and ever WILL WRITE!

This book made me feel a lot... Disgust at the adoptive parentS and the oldest son, Mikah. Sorrow for everything Tati went through. Pride because of the badass Tati became by using her hatred, anger, and pain to fuel her revenge.

This book was sick, twisted, bloody, brutal and hotter than hell. Ok, call me what you want, but we don't yuk other people's yum ok? ok! I loved every twisted moment of this crazy ride I was taken on. Right up until the cliffhanger. Excuse me? But how dare you leave us like that???? I need the next book 2 days ago. and where do I sign up to read book 2 before anyone else? This was a sickly amazing read. Crazy I know, but I can not get enough of Tati and Brax. A freaking badass power couple is what they will be.

This book leans heavily into the darker side of revenge, and P.H. Nix doesn’t shy away from the violence or the emotional toll that kind of path takes. It’s gritty, disturbing at times, and absolutely gripping. If you like morally gray characters, female rage, and stories where revenge isn’t pretty—but it is earned—this book will hook you.

Definitely check the trigger warnings because this one goes there. But if you’re ready for a fierce, dark revenge story with a woman who refuses to stay a victim, Bloody Vengeance delivers.

This book, is NASTY. Both in a sense of spicy and literally fucking disgusting lol. It is an erotic horror for sure. Also dark romance. The killings the fuck up past the brings them together are awful human.

The prolonged was so fucked I was like damn did I just read this.

Tati is a badass her having her adopted family slaughtered by her FUCK ASS AWFUL adopted older brother and his twisted sick friends. Was the most insane start to a book.

She’s hot, strong and will kill a bitch.
Brax is doing good by people he also has to kill. He wants the same men gone for revenge too. Also wants Tati.

Thus book has sexy spicy scenes in it between those two. There is a lot of killing of people between it all.
I ate this up. Cannot wait for book two.

Brax is definitely an mmc I loved to read about cuz he is unhinged and fantastic (need to find me one of him because he doesn’t send flowers he sends other things).

This is a short fast read but when hit with a plague it did take me a little longer to read sadly but if it were for that I woulda devoured this book in one sitting because it was a page turner and sucks you right in. I cannot wait to read what happens next especially with the cliffhanger at the ending I was not ready for that.

Honestly, I quite enjoyed the story. It was very gory and grotesque and all kinds of messed up, but I thought it was a badass story and oddly empowering. I think there was a lot of description and detail that made me feel sick to my stomach, but for some reason, I was able to overlook it and enjoy the pure carnage that is Tati. I don't read many Yakuza books, so that was also fun for me, and I do want to finish the series. I think it's fun in a murder kind of way. It's got lots of dark humor and some really messed-up individuals, so if you are into Erotic Horror with an actual decent plot, I think you'll be into this one.

I hated all of the boys (obviously not Brax). I think they were vile, and the worst of the absolute f*cking worst, and they all got what they deserved.

This is the first book of P.H.'s that I have read and it won't be my last. This book was a wild ride that kept me hooked until the very end. I loved getting Brax, Tati, Griff, Jackson, Fredrick, and Mikah's points of views throughout the book.

The book ended on a great cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait for the next book in the series to be announced.

I would recommend this book if you're looking for an erotic horror or erotic thriller. Please check the warnings because this book is definitely not for everyone.

I am literally obsessed with Braxton and Tati. The feminine rage in this book is delicious. Tati is on a path for revenge against her adopted brother Mikah, who brutally murdered their family 18 years ago. Brax is Yakuza and is seeking revenge for his babysister Emi who was a victim of human trafficking. the way their path is entertwined and the way Brax is obsessed with Tati is phenomenal. The plot was plotting, the suspense, and that cliffhanger. I NEED THE SECOND BOOK RIGHT NOW!

Holy crap so much got packed into this short book and i couldnt put the book down.

there was parts where I cringed which I loved, I laughed a bit and I felt so happy for her and her vegence.

this was totally unhinged but in such a good way. me telling people about it who dont like unhinged stuff and asking me "whats wrong with you?" is my favorite thing. many things are wrong with me and I like unhinged books 😂

Holy crap

Ummm this was incredible! Filled with feminine rage and vengeance, I couldn't put this one down. I need more asap. Tati and brax are like two sides of the same coin. Their relationship is intense and unpredictable. They both wanted vengeance from the people who wronged them and damn did they get it. But there's still danger lurking and questions to be answered.
