So, Scorched Sin was definitely a change of pace for Bridget Adrienne’s books. I could feel her experimenting with tone and themes here, and honestly, I liked that she tried something different—it kept things from feeling like a repeat of her other stories. But… at the same time, this one just didn’t land for me.
The biggest hurdle? Violet. I get that her whole deal was being guarded, but she was constantly keeping Rowan at arm’s length, to the point where it felt like we never really got the full depth of their relationship. Instead of rooting for them, I found myself sighing every time she pushed him away again. And poor Rowan! He deserved more than to be dangling on a string like that the entire time. Their dynamic felt repetitive, and not in a deliciously angsty way—more in a “can we please move forward already?” way.
On top of that, the pacing was uneven. Some sections dragged, while others flew by so fast that emotional beats didn’t fully land. I wanted to sink into the story, but I kept feeling yanked out of it. And while I applaud the darker, moodier vibe Bridget was going for, the execution felt a little muddled, like it needed one more polish pass to really shine.
At the end of the day, I appreciate that this book tried to bring something new to Bridget’s lineup, but it just wasn’t my cup of tea. I didn’t hate it, but I definitely didn’t love it either. Two stars from me, with a soft side-eye at Violet for making Rowan (and me!) work way too hard.

I will never stop being impressed by how Bridget Adrienne manages to pack layered plots, compelling characters, and seriously scorching spice into novellas under 100 pages. It shouldn’t be possible, but here we are.
After devouring "Ranger’s Temptation" (her freebie that instantly hooked me), I jumped at the chance to ARC read her Mafia brothers series. And once again, she had me up past my bedtime, binging the entire thing in one go. Worth it.
This novella hits different—it’s darker than the Ranger series, with all the Mafia drama and “deleting” of enemies that comes with it. But the best part? It connects back to her Ranger books. Rowan and Violet’s world weaves directly into "Ranger’s Inferno" (through Briar) and even nods to "Ranger’s Temptation". Do you need to read those first? Nope. But if you love clever Easter eggs, trust me, you’ll want to.
Rowan and Violet’s story gives you Romeo & Juliet meets Mafia blood feud vibes. The chemistry? Instant. The chase? Delicious. The spice? Raw, intense, and perfectly placed. And unlike longer Mafia romances, you don’t get dragged through endless breakups and miscommunications—this one is tight, thrilling, and satisfying all the way through.

I loved her Untamed Rangers series and to have the Scorched Legacy series come off one of the books in the UR series is just *CHEF'S MF KISS*!

MMC Rowan has stalker tendencies and is obsessed with his enemy’s daughter FMC Violet. They clearly have some lingering tension/history between them. But nothing has ever happened over the years.
Their fathers are the head of two enemy families. So being together would basically start a war. Her dad is trying to marry her off to some budget cowboy in a week. And budget cowboy is obviously a douchbag.
In an act of desperation to get out of this marriage, Violet asks Rowan to kidnap her. Her father has ways and connections to find her if she ran. But Rowan knows how to do things without being discovered. So he does just that.
Now she owes him for this favour and for the many years she denied him. So he’s here to collect 🔥🔥🔥
If you like fast-paced instalove kind of stories that are super quick reads, this will scratch that itch! It was a super hot and steamy read. Rowan’s a predator, and I mean the good kind. 😉

Bridget does it again! Another fast paced quick read to crush in a day. Rowan and Violet born into rival mafia families but drawn to one another their whole life. Violet constantly pushes away from Rowan for her own safety but when she finds out who her father has promised her to she knows the one way she’ll make it out alive if with Rowan’s help. What she wasn’t expecting was for Rowan to complete abandon his whole life and family just to have a life with her the ones he’s always loved and always wanted but who was just out of reach. Now that he has this opportunity he will stop at nothing to keep her for himself. Full of spice! Dubious consent, bondage, primal play, chasing, knife play, blood play. This book has it all! If you want to enter the world of dark romance this one would be a good starting book in my opinion.

I recently had the pleasure of reading “Scorched Sin” as part of an ARC review, and it was an absolute thrill! The story follows Rowan and Violet, two magnetic characters caught in a small-town mafia setting. As someone new to the mafia genre, I was pleasantly surprised by how engaging and intense it was.
The chemistry between Rowan and Violet is sizzling, and the book definitely brings the spice! Their forbidden love and Rowan’s intense obsession add layers of tension and excitement that kept me hooked from beginning to end.
Overall, “Scorched Sin” was an engaging and spicy read that I thoroughly enjoyed. If you’re into intense romance with a hint of danger, this one’s definitely worth picking up!

I loved that Rowan and Violet already had history, it made the chemistry flow seamlessly. Their families have been lifelong rivals in the timber industry, and when Violet is promised to a horrible man for marriage (all for her father’s business advantage), she proposes the only solution she can think of...Rowan kidnaps her.
This series promises to be much darker than Unhinged Rangers, and I love that! I can’t wait for the next one!

Wow a dark and burning sprint to the end of this book. Bridget truly has an unmatched skill with short novellas that leaves me both satisfied and craving more at the same time. I love this dark and intense turn for the new series. Also appreciate the connection to Briar from the prior book.
Definitely check out the trigger warnings because this is dark romance if you have not already caught on. Can't wait for the rest of this series!!

Oh what a book, small but mighty. Mafia, kidnapping, knife play, Domination, lots of sexy time. Kinda felt like Romeo and Juliet with a modern twist with no one dies. Well the main characters anyway.

Oh I love those stories ! The Insta-love, the fast pace, no bullshit dragged out over twelve chapters ! I love seeing Briar's brothers. I wondered if we we're going to see them. Now I'm just sad we didn't see Briar in the story !

I love the dark romance mafia vibes to it, but I also love the plot. For a novella, Bridget honestly knows how to pack it full of a good plot and a lotttt of spice!

This book was quick read and was easy to get through. The only complaint I have is that I would’ve liked more of maybe a flashback or two of their books previous encounters to build their relationship more. But it was a good palate cleanser this couple are more on the dark romance side of things with lots of kinks so make sure to read your trigger warnings.

This is the perfect short spicy read with a bit of suspense. I have not read anything by Bridget Adrienne before and i really enjoyed this short novella. I have been slumping lately and this was perfect! lots of spice! and a good story plot I honestly wished i could get a longer version of this 😅 however I really appreciate a good novella.

10/10 This was fire. Start to finish. Such a good quick read. 5/5 spice. The way he has the need to protect Violet and also destroy her is addicting. This book doesn’t leave any questions or anything unanswered. Can’t wait for book 2.
