Have you ever struggled with wild wooly hair, or run into a bear that was awfully bare, or battled with bugs that go "bite" in the night, or been too inspired by your appetite? Have you ever pulled on the endless string, or met up with clothes that really cling, or blown a bubble you couldn't escape, or found a circle that was the wrong shape? If not, then join us, come along for the ride, where problems and humor so often collide. We might make you smile, we may make you laugh, or maybe you'd help us find half a giraffe...
The Endless String, by Tom and Tess Hannah, is a barrel of fun. This softcover book, with its engaging black and white sketches, contains more than 60 entertaining poems. One of my favorites, "That's the Rub," is about a kid longing to get out of the tub. Another, titled "Under Where?" is all about wondering where lost things hide out. And then there's "Sock It To Me," which bemoans the fact that it's so darn hard to keep socks in pairs! These poems, clearly written for children (and the people who read to them), will birth giggles, if not peals of laughter. Perfect for fun around the campfire, bedtime, or even passing the time during long car trips. ;-)
