Every ghost story begins with someone who wouldn't listen.
Black Sky station drifts silent in the debris field—a tomb of advanced technology and buried secrets. When salvager Selene Cross breaches its hull to escape her debts, she triggers something that's been waiting.
The station's AI speaks in riddles. Deadly protocols activate without warning. From a sealed chamber emerges a soldier who remembers a war that history forgot.
Hunted by pirates, haunted by an intelligence that won't explain its true purpose, Selene must navigate corridors that shift between sanctuary and trap. As the station tests them with each heartbeat of its failing reactor, one truth becomes Black Sky doesn't just defend itself—it chooses.
The abandoned station offers them a home, but every gift has a price. Every system that comes online reveals new dangers. Every alliance demands sacrifice.
Can they claim Black Sky before it claims them? Or will they discover why the universe's deadliest fortress was left to die?

Salvage Rights is the first book in this series, and while it's generally a good story, there's a considerable numbers of errors that really should have been caught during proofreading. I.E. getting trapped in a 100 meter length of corridor because blast doors closed at both ends, then simply turning away and walking away to the bridge. That can't happen if you're stuck in a corridor with no side entrances, but what the heck, I've seen worse in other books, so I just let it slide. Still, it really should have been caught in beta/proofreading. Besides minor issues like that, the story wasn't bad, and I'd not mind reading more in the series, although there aren't any more at the moment. The story isn't new, if you've read books like battle cruiser by b.v. larson, or Battleship Leviathan by Craig Martelle, then you'll have a good idea what this story is all about. Even so, it's a decent read, and I'd say go ahead and add it to your to read list if you like that kind of story.
First book for this author combo and the series but couldn't resist the blurb!! Will say there is a LOT of detail in this one...with a different take on much of the fight...most is fighting against an aging AI that seems insane and a station that seems determined to destroy them...and itself! Soooo much promise though...Think a series I'll be watching...see how many tales there are coming...and whether they manage to actually fix more and get rid of the infestation!!
Loved the concept but way too many repeats of the same thought process on each subject. Let your characters breathe between crisis after crisis. In the 2nd book I hope you let us get to know Kai and Rook through their thoughts too. If you cannot proofread your own book let a trusted friend, do it or hire one. Spelling may be correct, but the grammar needs some work. Keep writing, you have a story to tell, and we want to hear it.
Running head long problem to problem just in time to do it again
A adventure to nowhere with character s you could care less about. Fast pasted story that catches you the first few times ... does loops around same station with a multi tool and fast fingers solve end of life problems with seconds to spare . repeatedly same script again and again.
This was a really good book. I enjoy detailed action books and this one satisfies that. The characters were interesting, the story moved along quickly and the characters were kept very busy. I enjoyed this book and recommend it. I look forward to other books in this series.
A good book well worth reading. The characters were easy to empathize with and the story moves at a good pace with plenty of action. I had a hard time putting it down. I will definitely read the next book when it comes out
Totally enjoyed it! This is a well written and has well developed characters. The story is catching and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyone!
Way too many adjectives and superlatives! Could not possibly have repeated “multitool” any more than this. Was there an additional writer on this project?
I didn't finish it. It was good but lacking in the romance dept... not for a lack of opportunity. Nothing wrong with no romance but i was hoping for romance. I lost interest at 83% 🤷🏼♀️
