If you like your romance with forbidden glances, a grumpy billionaire, and kisses that leave you dizzy… then you need to meet Alexander.
He’s older. Filthy rich. Dangerously off-limits. And he just made me his obsession…
When billionaire Alexander Knight fires my boss and hands me a $20-million beach house renovation, I know I’m in way over my head.
He’s grumpy. Demanding. Fifteen years older. But the way he looks at me? Like I’m the only woman in the world.
One forbidden kiss changes everything. Now the passion between us is scorching hot—and impossible to resist.
But with my vindictive ex-boss out for revenge and a devastating storm threatening to destroy everything, my career, my reputation, and my heart hang in the balance.
Is he my forever… or the heartbreak I never saw coming?
To be honest, while Older Richer Mine leans heavily into romance, it stays grounded and realistic enough to show the complex worlds and situations surrounding both leads. Olivia Banks is a young woman who sees designing at such a deep level—every single sketch in her book carries a profound meaning. Even though she graduated with exceptional skills, practically no one recognizes her incredible talent at first except for her professor and Alexander. She’s the kind of woman who wants to settle down, but she also fiercely wants her art to get the validation and recognition it deserves to survive in this industry. I loved how deeply she cares for her parents and how she stands her ground whenever she knows she's right. Then there's Alexander Knight. He’s someone who has built massive walls around himself to survive. He has all the material and business success he could ever need, but he carries a heavy loneliness from a past loss that left a massive void in his heart. For a quick 12-chapter book (plus an epilogue), the author developed the chemistry between these two amazingly well. You really feel the thick tension, the emotional struggles, and the insecurities that pass between them. Olivia comes into Alexander's life like a total light, making him feel truly alive rather than just surviving. What gripped me the most was seeing how far they were willing to go for each other—watching someone care enough to step directly into a storm to rescue her and her family was beautiful. Even when insecurities threaten to pull them apart again, the growth they show in admitting their feelings to the world and building a life together is so satisfying. If you are into the age-gap genre, love intense chemistry between leads, and want a romance where the characters actually take responsibility along with love, you are in exactly the right place. Older Richer Mine by D. Hartigan is a fast-paced, steamy billionaire romance that leans heavily into familiar but popular tropes: age gap, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, and forbidden attraction all wrapped in a short, bingeable format. At the center of the story is the MMC Alexander, a grumpy, emotionally guarded billionaire and the FMC Olivia, a young home renovation expert that he hands a $20-million beach house renovation to. One of the things I really enjoyed about this novella is the dynamic between the main characters. The “off-limits” nature of their relationship adds urgency, while the age gap and wealth imbalance heighten the stakes. Their interactions are full of push-and-pull energy with him being controlling and intense, while she pushes back while still being drawn in. Overall, Older Richer Mine is a quick, high-heat billionaire romance with strong age-gap tension and classic enemies-to-lovers drama.

Meet Alexander and Olivia. He’s got a house to remodel on a tight deadline. She’s just starting in design and wasn’t supposed to show her idea. One thing lead to another and bam, they are off. Such a quick read. Loved the characters and how they interacted. Loved the story and how it loved. Just a great novella. A dash of spice, a splash of danger and a dollop of love story. Spice was 🌶️🌶️ and stars are 🌟🌟🌟🌟
I enjoyed this book - it was short and sweet and spicy. Novellas often feel a little rushed for me and I definitely would have liked this story with more detail and stretched out but I still really liked it. Forced proximity, age gap - really great tropes and well done in this book too. Eager to read more of this series and by D. Hartigan!

Older Richer Mine is a short read, but full of excitement! Alexander needs a beach house remodeled. When he sees Olivia's design, he fires her boss and hires her for the job, even though she is new. Next thing you know, sparks are flying, and Olivia's ex-boss is out for revenge. Oh, and did I mention there's a big storm coming?
Esperaba mucho menos para ser una novela corta y con un nombre tan cliché, aunque con tanta historia creo que hubiera sido mucho mejor desarrollar mejor cada problemática. Recomendado pero me gustaría una novela más larga de esta misma autora.
This is a very short easy-to-read storyline with some drama, danger, and chemistry. The characters are good, but I think overall the storyline was rushed, and the characters were underdeveloped.
