ReedIII Quick Review: Some very good general financial advice aimed toward specific money types. This book proposes that financial advice should be aimed at your money type as much as your financial situation. Suffers from poor organization, some dubious advice and leans a little too heavily on too many nuanced money types.

Mostly I found this book to be interesting in the frame work of how greatly emotions can effect the way people relate to money. The various money types were interesting and well presented.

Since I listened to the audio book I had a couple complaints. There were some references to quizzes I can only assume were in the book, but clearly were not on the Audio CD. I also didn't like how sometimes the reader came across as judgmental when discussing the various situations. I found it annoying.

Overall, the explanations of the various money types was interesting. The advice the author presented was basic money advice and next steps such as have a will and ask questions when you don't know what something means concerning money. I found the specific money type advice to be broad enough so that it could be used by every money type or every person.

This book provides some interesting perspectives on money, debt, saving, and investing

It is good in that it makes people think about what they’re doing with their money (although, if anyone is going to pick up a book like this, they’re probably already thinking about managing their money). It also provides some solid tips on finding a financial advisor (fee-only advisors are your best bet), while sharing some good information on various investment options.

Downsides: this book separates people into different “money types”, but they’re so generalized that they remind me of horoscopes, because anyone can think of times in their lives when they could fit into any of the categories. The book also offers some questionable advice about certain investment instruments and glosses over many of the positive and even necessary aspects of debt, as well as managing and building good credit.

A must read for anyone looking into straighten their finances! This book dives into the different relationships we as individuals can have with money or ‘Money Types’ through clear storytelling. I wish I had read this book much earlier in my life as it is finally giving me hope and the tools to make a positive impact on my personal finances in a way I can relate and understand. It is also interesting to read about other money types and understand that the nuances of our relationship with money are greater than good vs bad. Fantastic and informative, would recommend

Not the author's fault, but the narrator was driving me nuts by saying 'STATE-US' all the time instead of 'STAT-US' (and the CD's kept skipping so I couldn't get through them all)

I also felt a bit overwhelmed with the details of the different categories...
