DI Williamson is faced with another murder on the Sunshine Coast. A Member of Parliament’s assistant is found dead outside the Yacht Club. Was this murder politically motivated, or was it personal?
Born in the UK, I migrated to Australia in my early twenties. It was only when I retired to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland that I wrote my first novel.
The Anna Davies Mystery series comprises five books, Missing in Egypt, Missing at Sea, Missing in London, Missing in France and Missing in Australia. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083RQ2QDG/
“Murder at the Yacht Club” is the latest murder, detective novel by our talented local author, Rita Lee Chapman. This latest novel exploits the fact that Noosa occupants love to feel that they are part of the plot. Rita does this by introducing the reader to many of the local landmarks and amenities. You can, of course, guarantee that DI Williamson and his sidekick DS Taylor, solve the latest murders and, in this instance, a child kidnapping. Rita certainly has a good knowledge of police procedures and interviewing techniques. I do, however, find it hard to believe that everyone is so civil and polite to each other. That aside, I did find the book easy to read and I loved the family interactions which fit into the day to day life of police officers. I do look forward with anticipation to the next “Murder” in the series. Might it be “Parliament House” or, maybe, “White House”.
