Return to small-town Pinegrove, Georgia, the romantic setting of Libby Kay’s endearing novels, When Sparks Fly and Old Flames, as well as the 2026 novel about another of the hunky firemen in town. Don’t miss any of the action or romance!
Libby Kay lives in the city in the heart of the Midwest with her husband. When she’s not writing, Libby loves reading romance novels of any kind. Stories of people falling in love nourish her soul. Contemporary or Regency, sweet or hot, as long as there is a happily ever after—she’s in love!
When not surrounded by books, Libby can be found baking in her kitchen, binging true crime shows, or on the road with her husband—traveling as far as their bank account will allow.
Thanksgiving Overruled by Libby Kay, which is an A Pinegrove FD Novel book, is the third book in the series. It is a romance book centered around two young ladies and the Thanksgiving holiday. The ladies in the book are Mari & Whitney, who are both young paralegals. They are dating, so as expected, they are both constantly working & have no time to do much of anything. So when Winnie’s sister asked her to come over for Thanksgiving, Winnie figured this might be the perfect chance to spend some time with Mari & confess her love to her. I love how sweet the ladies’ relationship is and how much they clearly genuinely care for each other. From the shenanigans with the sweet potato casserole to their middle-of-the-night stop at the local farm. This book had me hooked on seeing what these two ladies were up to next. If you like small town romance.
I know authors don't pick favorites with their books - it's almost impossible to do so! But Thanksgiving Overruled was one of my favorite stories to write. Mari and Winnie finding love over Thanksgiving was both lighthearted and deeply tender. Plus, I couldn't help but throw in a rambunctious cat and some slapstick moments to keep it exciting. ;) I hope you enjoy my first sapphic romance story!
I had read and reviewed a previous novel by the author and enjoyed it, so when this one came up for review, I was eager to participate. The blurb intrigued me, and the story is short, so I wanted to see what the author would do.
