Yes Karla feels she has her life pretty much together. Until she goes out with her friends one night and gets mugged in the restaurant parking lot. As Karla watches her life flash before her eyes, she is suddenly rescued by the devilishly handsome Derius Kenai Phillips. She instantly falls for the one she affectionately calls “Hero”. There is just one problem with her instant love…He is only in the eleventh grade! From then on Karla goes on a romantic rollercoaster ride in her relationship with Derius. Even though her better judgment tells her that she could end up in prison. Karla continues to fall for Derius anyway. As their relationship flourishes Karla learns the complexities of dating a younger man. Really good story

I was surprised how this story turned out. At first, I thought it was dumb and I could not relate however I was curious and read on. I'm glad I did. It was a very well thought out story that flowed smoothly. The characters are easy to follow and you start to feel for them. There was a couple of grammatical errors but not enough to make you regret reading this story. I enjoyed this story and it showed me that this type of affair happens everyday. It gave me a opportunity to see it from a different perspective. This was the first book I have read by the author and I can't wait to read more by her.

Beautiful & Hero relationship was love ,even though Hero was much younger. Hero mom was doing to much to ruin there relationship. I like the strength to keep it going now matter the talking people did. Hero friend was always in his corner. Aiya loved her father and could sense when he was around. I hope they can keep up there family and the mom get it together.
