Five years after the war, Hermione Granger has very little time for something like a relationship. She's far too busy trying to run the Bureau for Endangered Creatures efficiently, dealing with budget cuts and ignorant ministry officials and finding a way to somehow restore her parents' memories, who are still in Australia and none the wiser about the existence of their daughter. When she discovers that the Wizengamot plans to use Draco Malfoy as a scapegoat whilst dealing with elusive Voldemort loyalists, she offers to testify for him. She's not quite sure how it led to her trying on wedding dresses under the watchful eye of Narcissa Malfoy.
Almost 4⭐️ but not quite. I LOVED 50% of the book and then felt just okay about the other 50% because it had great emotional build up but also super long boring parts. The last 30% of the book really dragged on and on for me and that feels like way too much.
Started out good but then got super long and boring. Should have made it shorter to keep interest. Lots of unnecessary things added in or repetitive passages
Ahhh why did Draco have to be gone for so long??? I know it wasn't actually that much of the book, but it felt like forever. I loved seeing them fall in love. I also loved the way it made so much sense for her to agree to the marriage contract with her parents and all.
Theo in this was, of course, amazing. He did make some weird comments even though Daphne was standing right there, but it's whatever because it's Theo. I was mad at Harry for a minute when he arrested Draco. I know it's his job, but still.
Hermione, my queen, was absolutely iconic in this. I am obsessed with the way she masterminded Draco's freedom and totally humbled Kingsley. Kingsley and I have beef ever since I read Secrets & Masks...

i haven’t devoured a story this quick and enjoyed it in this love. i loved the writing and how premise of the marriage of convenience was written in such a tender slow burn. the building of trust between draco’s parents and hermione was to die for and i love a found family trope. their romance was sweet and intimate.
The ending was a little rushed - Wish I had seen more of Draco. I really disliked Kingsley in this one and it was rather satisfying to see Hermione make winning political moves against him.
I love Hermione’s characterisation here and how she manipulated the press. This was such an entertaining fic to read. I appreciated that Malfoys’ parents had more redempton here.

i loved it. I must say some parts were a bit dragged out but besides that it was amazing. Hermione was so diva when she was trying to get Draco out of azkaban. i loved Lucius and Hermione’s relationship in this fic, i am so used to Lucius not liking her and this fic made me so happy with how both Lucius and Narcissa thought of Hermione as a daughter
Loving these marriage of convenience ones. Loved the portrayal of characters. Loved how there was no Ron bashing and everyone was still friends. Missed that Draco didn’t have his whole group but it worked well with the story. Supportive Narcissa AND Lucious is nice too!
4.5 ⭐️ This was so so good!!!!! Everything I’ve wanted to read about Hermione’s integration into the Malfoy family is all here and I just loved reading all of those interactions.
This was cute. A little repetitive for my taste but that can happen with a fanfic that has chapters released periodically. My first long-fic entry back into Dramione in a while!
I really liked this story. Specifically how intimate and lovely Draco and Hermione’s relationship progressed. The family dynamic here reminded me a lot of The Auction. I loved this version of Lucius and Narcissa. I didn’t like the ending though, a long epilogue would’ve been amazing. The pacing was slow too😭.
The first half hit like CRACK! Marriage of convenience is poggers trope… second half where the plot came in couldn’t quite grip me as much but I still enjoyed it, liked it a good amount
no because i will actually ride at dawn for the malfoy family being shown in a positive light after going through the needed repercussions and reparations. i just loved the family dynamics.
started off strong. i felt excitement from a good slow burn and the pace of the story was good. somewhere towards the end i got bored and it started to drag, which gave me a hard time finishing it. was super bummed because i was optimistic from how the beginning was going.
Miren que no me gusta el trope de matrimonio por conveniencia pero me convenció, me encantó. 100% recomiendo. Debo admitir igual que la leí porque quería leer un Lucissa
