Odd episodic story about a vain ant who rejects her inexplicably numerous animal suitors, hoping for the dapper mouse to pay court to her.
Then they get married and he falls in a cooking pot.
I wanted this other edition
that looked like it had better illustrations, but now I probably won't bother since I didn't find the story interesting.

For Spanish practice. The Spanish and English translations were in separate halves of the book, which made focusing on the Spanish easier for me than if they had been side by side. I read this book for Spanish practice. It had nice simple language and was clear and entertaining. English/Spanish
