Force of Nature

Rate this book
In a realm cracking beneath the weight of forgotten magic, a spreading poison and rising shadows, one girl stands at the edge of ruin. Bound to ancient power she doesn’t fully understand, Vesper must endure trials woven from myth and madness—each one demanding more than the last.

When a man forged of shadows and secrets appears to stand at her side, Vesper begins to see the truth behind the myths. Kayne is more than he appears, though he has little memory of his past. And far more dangerous than the enemy stalking them.

As the capital trembles and the poison spreads, Vesper must decide if she can survive what is to come—and if she has the strength to become what the continent needs her to be.

Because some stories end in blood.

And some begin in it.

Force of Nature by Brie Noseworthy is a beautifully written fantasy full of vivid world-building and emotional depth. From the very first pages, the atmosphere pulled me in and I could see and feel the magic woven into every scene.

What I loved most was how Brie’s writing balances action with quiet, heartfelt moments — making the story both immersive and deeply human. The characters felt alive, and the prose carried that perfect mix of beauty and intensity that makes a book stick with you.

This is a special story, and I’m so grateful Brie Noseworthy shared it. Highly recommend to fantasy readers who love lush, magical worlds and stories that linger long after the last page.

🚨‼️New Author Alert‼️🚨

Brie has hit it out of the park with her debut Fantasy Gothic Romance ‘Force of Nature’ 🍃 🔥 With Immersive world building and descriptive imagery this book will take you on a dark dangerous journey of corruption, ancient magic and unexpected love.

Vesper our FMC has lost everything and with nothing left she leaves to find answers and quickly finds herself thrust into a world with darker secrets and ancient trials. Vesper is strong and determined to find answers. Some of her decisions she makes or lack their of made me frustrated while reading the book, like yell at my book frustrated, which only means her character growth will be epic and I can’t wait.

Kayne our MMC is dark and mysterious. He has a past he can’t remember. Kayne’s character is just starting to be discovered, I’m excited to find out who he is in the next book. Vesper and Kayne have an undeniable connection, they’re forced on a journey to stop the decay of the world from a poisonous power.

This is going to be a trilogy and the 1st book is set up perfectly for an epic series. I can’t wait for book two.

Over all I really liked this book and the plot! A solid story. It did take me a little to get into the story, but that’s on me as I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump when I started. But this book got me out of that slump!

I really liked the unique idea of her having to find seeds, and go through trials to earn them. And that these seeds are what’s needed to save her world.

For some details with our spoiling too much:
I did find some of Vespers choices frustrating, but in a way that made me want to keep reading to see how things would play out. There was more than once I yelled in my head for her to just swallow the seeds, vs saving them for later. But of course that ended up being important.
Also wasn’t a huge fan of Eret, but he wasn’t in the story a lot. Don’t like how easily she forgave him and moved on, so I’m glad to see Kayne and they truly have chemistry. I can’t wait for future books in this series.

From the moment I started this book, I didn’t want to put it down. The world sucked me in, and I loved that it was a different world than most fantasy books are, or at least the ones I’ve read. The plot of this book is also very intriguing, and I haven’t read anything like it. I was immediately captivated by the FMC, Vesper, and the MMC, Kayne. The action and the emotional parts of the book just made it feel extremely real. I’m looking forward to the next books. I think this is going to be an amazing series.
