This is a wonderful collection of paintings by some of America's top artists. Skolnick, an accomplished painter himself writes a thoroughly researched and pleasurable introduction and scatters poetry inspired by the great state of Maine throughout the collection of diverse paintings from several centuries. A great reference for landscape painting in general.
