BOOK DESCRIPTION SINCE THE DAWN OF HISTORY, PAIN HAS BEEN HUMANITY’S GREATEST TEACHER — THE DEEP WOUND THAT EITHER OPENS THE GATE TO WISDOM OR DRIVES ONE TO THE BRINK OF THE ABYSS. THIS BOOK IS NEITHER A NOVEL NOR A MEMOIR, BUT AN INTELLECTUAL–HUMAN JOURNEY EXPLORING THE EXTRAORDINARY RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PAIN AND INNER TRANSFORMATION, BETWEEN WISDOM AND DESPAIR, BETWEEN BREAKING DOWN AND BEING REBORN. THROUGH PROFOUND PHILOSOPHICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS, THE AUTHOR GUIDES THE READER ALONG THE PATHWAYS OF MIND AND SOUL, DRAWING ON THE EXPERIENCES OF WORLD FIGURES IMMORTALIZED BY PHILOSOPHERS, ARTISTS, THINKERS, POLITICIANS, AND SAINTS — INDIVIDUALS WHOSE GREATNESS AND LASTING LEGACY WERE FORGED IN THE CRUCIBLE OF SUFFERING. SCIENTIFIC NOTE THE BOOK BEGINS WITH THE PREMISE THAT PAIN IS NOT A PASSING EVENT, BUT A FORMATIVE FORCE CAPABLE OF RESHAPING HUMAN CONSCIOUSNESS AND REDEFINING PERSONAL IDENTITY. THE ANALYSIS GOES BEYOND THE PSYCHOLOGICAL AND SOCIAL DIMENSIONS TO A SHOCKING BIOLOGICAL–GENETIC ONE, AS THE AUTHOR PROPOSES A STRIKING THAT INTENSE SUFFERING IMPRINTS ITSELF UPON THE HUMAN GENETIC CODE, TRANSMITTING ITS EMOTIONAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL BURDENS ACROSS GENERATIONS — JUST AS PHYSICAL TRAITS ARE INHERITED. BASED ON THIS HARROWING INSIGHT, THE AUTHOR OFFERS A STRICT CAUTIONARY NEVER CONCEIVE A CHILD WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS LIVED AND ABSORBED DEEP SUFFERING TO THE POINT OF SATURATION, FOR YOU MAY BE PLANTING WITHIN YOUR OFFSPRING AN INESCAPABLE LEGACY OF ANGUISH. IN ITS CHAPTERS, THE BOOK EXAMINES THE IMPACT OF PAIN ON THE HUMAN PSYCHE, ITS RELATIONSHIP TO CREATIVITY, AND ITS ROLE IN SHAPING MAJOR EXISTENTIAL STANCES. IT WEAVES TOGETHER PHILOSOPHY, PSYCHOLOGY, BIOLOGY, AND REAL-LIFE EXPERIENCES TO PRESENT A COMPREHENSIVE VISION OF HOW PAIN CAN EITHER FORGE A NEW HUMAN BEING… OR CONSUME THEM INTO NOTHINGNESS. AUTHOR’S ADVICE TO THE READER "DO NOT OPEN THIS BOOK SEEKING COMFORT OR JUSTIFICATION FOR YOUR SUFFERING… OPEN IT TO CONFRONT YOUR NAKED TRUTH. IF YOU FEAR FACING YOUR WOUNDS, SET IT ASIDE. BUT IF YOU ARE READY TO SEE HOW PAIN CAN EITHER BREAK YOU… OR MAKE YOU, THEN READ — AND YOU WILL NOT LEAVE IT THE SAME AS YOU CAME IN." THIS WORK IS NOT AN INVITATION TO GLORIFY PAIN, BUT TO UNDERSTAND IT, DISMANTLE ITS POWER, AND TRANSFORM IT FROM A DESTRUCTIVE FORCE INTO A TOOL OF AWARENESS AND MATURITY. IT IS A BOOK THAT WILL COMPEL THE READER TO RE-EXAMINE EVERY EXPERIENCE THEY HAVE ENDURED AND ASK THE HARSH WERE YOU A VICTIM OF PAIN… OR ITS DISCIPLE?
DISTINGUISHED LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, It is my great honor to introduce myself to you for a matter I consider of utmost importance. Some of you may wonder—or perhaps even feel uneasy or dismayed—about my presence here, given that I am an Arab and a Muslim. From this perspective, I find it necessary to clarify the purpose of my attendance. I lost my family, for whom I had worked day and night, and after this profound loss, I no longer pursue money or material gain. My presence here is not motivated by selling my books or earning profit; rather, it is driven purely by a humanistic and cultural purpose. I simply hope to find someone willing to listen to me, as I have come to realize, unfortunately, that reading has become rare in my country. My first book was published in Egypt and exhibited at the Cairo International Book Fair in 2022, and then at the Riyadh International Book Fair a few months later, yet no one read it. The publishing house provided me with eighty complimentary copies, which I distributed to my colleagues and some intellectuals, but none of them took the time to read the book, despite receiving it for free. This experience was deeply disheartening. Consequently, I decided to translate my book into English and publish it on Amazon in 2025, alongside my second and third books. I also made a firm decision never to publish any of my works in any Arab country in the future, having realized that my efforts, research, and time were not sufficiently valued, even superficially. Therefore, I chose to direct my writings toward the educated and creative minds of the Western world. Nevertheless, I have noticed some degree of disregard, which may stem from my being Arab and, more specifically, Muslim. In light of this, I feel compelled to speak with complete candor—although I understand it may surprise some—because I believe this place, inhabited by thinkers and intellectuals, is the appropriate forum for truth. If the truth is not spoken here, then where else should it be voiced? I trust in your intelligence, understanding, and respect for freedom of thought and expression. The truth is that, after losing my family in 2011, immediately following my return from the United States, all I had left were pen and paper. I no longer sought money, but knowledge—especially knowledge of the human psyche and culture in all its dimensions, including religions. My intellectual journey led me to a profound skepticism toward all religions without exception. Naturally, I cannot openly express this belief in my society, as doing so would endanger my life. I did not choose my nationality, my homeland, or my religion. I entered this world and found all of these affiliations imposed upon me, and though I do not believe in them wholeheartedly, the world judges and punishes me because of them. I earnestly hope for a change in this harsh reality, though I am fully aware that such change is far from easy. I have moved beyond concern with reviews, ratings, or comments, as I believe that the day will come—sooner or later—when people will seek out my writings, just as they have sought the works of Franz Kafka and the philosophical guidance of my “spiritual father,” Friedrich Nietzsche. I sincerely thank you for your patience in reading this lengthy passage, and I express my deepest gratitude for the opportunity to be among you and within this community of enlightened and discerning minds.
Your words read like still water — calm, reflective, and carrying quiet strength beneath the surface. They remind me that even in silence, a story keeps breathing — waiting for the moment it will rise again in light.
FROM WISDOM TO THE ABYSS – THE SOUL BENEATH THE BLADE OF PAIN This book dares to unveil the naked truth about suffering—not as a curse, but as a decisive force that can either break you or rebuild you anew. It dives deep into the human psyche to reveal why some souls rise from the ashes of tragedy toward greatness and transcendence, while others plunge irreversibly into the abyss of despair, deviation, and self-destruction. Through an extraordinary fusion of psychology, philosophy, and genetic insights, you will discover how pain shapes destiny, rewrites identity, and etches its scars across generations. If you’ve ever asked yourself, “Why me?”, this book offers an unsettling yet liberating answer: Pain did not come to destroy you—it came to transform you. Read it… and you will never look at pain the same way again.
