I really enjoyed this installment! Kane Brothers is book three in the Men of Dark Harbor series, and what I loved right from the start is how it revisits events from book two—but this time through different eyes. Seeing the other side of what happened not only clarified some details, it made the whole world feel even richer.

Once the series’ larger plotline takes a bit of a breather, the focus shifts to the love story, and it was so well done. Rain’s struggle—torn between two brothers, fighting for independence while at the same time craving their possession—was intense, emotional, and compelling. I also appreciated how the story weaves in themes of reconciling painful pasts with the desire to choose happiness.

And of course… the spice. Let’s just say it definitely delivered, breaking up the darker moments with heat and tension. While this is still very much a dark romance (so readers should keep the content warnings in mind), it felt a touch lighter than the previous books—though just as steamy.

I’d definitely recommend starting from the beginning of the series to get the full effect, but if you’ve been following along, you don’t want to miss this one. That cliffhanger has me desperate for the next book!

I love how the first half of the book was set along side book two of the series so we got to see things unfolding from Rain and the Kane brothers perspective before continuing the next part of the story in the second half.

Rain is fiesty and sassy which makes her so easy to root for from the get go. We only scratched the surface with the Kane brothers in the previous books so I enjoyed their characters getting more depth and the trio work perfectly together.

We delve deeper into the ongoing storyline with new twists thrown in keeping me engaged and damn the spicy scenes need to come with the warnings they put on ghost chillis!

Loved book 3 of the Men Of Dark Harbor series and the cliffhanger ending has me eagerly awaiting the next book.

Kane Brothers by Erica Jade

Part of this story is running parallel to Ryder the previous book. I did enjoy the MFM. With the two Kane (foster) brothers Maddox Kane and Callum Kane. This one was a little different then the previous books. Where there was suspense with mystery this was more centered on only the relationship between Rain Avery, Maddox and Callum and working out the sharing drama. She does set up for the next book Gage and we get the connection between established here between him and Cora. Does leave off on kinda cliffhanger with suspense and everyone called after something bad happens.

Actually wild how good this was. I loved that this book overlapped partially with Ryker and I’m really glad I got to find out what happened with Rain, Maddox, and Callum. The start to their relationship was definitely atypical but the tension was so strong from the beginning. The way Maddox slowly softened towards Rain and how much she affected him was so great. I love how Callum kind of became her port in the storm when he realized what Maddox had done. I really liked the way her interactions and the way Maddox and Callum “handled” Rain differed and that she needed and wanted both of them. The spice was hot like a volcanic eruption and there was so much of it. ATE. IT. UP. The dynamic between these three was freakin’ amazing and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

I am unwell…
This book was freaking good.
Holy gooseballs!!!
I had goosebumps, my heart was racing I just wanted to continue and continue.
I felt like a moth to a flame this story being the flame.
I could not stop reading.
I have no words, it was just amazing you could feel the confusion, pull and back, the tension.
But also the no this can’t be good and the I don’t care this is all I want.
Raine, Callum and Maddox are intertwined in my veins.
It was just simple perfection.
The struggles that were portrayed but also the character continuity from the previous books and the set up for the next.
Nothing else to say.
Just love pure pure love.

If you love dark, mafia, captive romance, this one is so awesome. Maddox and Callum are the Kane brothers and they kidnap our heroine Rain, because they want something in return from her father. The MMCs are morally gray, dangerous men. Rain is strong and feisty and doesn't want to show them any of her weaknesses. This story has delicious spicy scenes and ends up being a why choose story where Rain has more than one love interest. This series keeps getting better and better with each new book. I can't wait to see what happens next in this series.

The Kane Brothers, are perfection!

Book 3 in this series, and the timeline of it is set in the same one as book two and gives you different stand points of the events that have been unfolding!

I am obsessed with these brothers! And our FMC Rain is a feisty little thing and I just love her!

You’ve got your subplot which is done nicely and the overall plot of the series has been added to and it really gives this story a nice edge. There is a cliffhanger but it’s to be expected considering that it’s a series!

I was pleasantly surprised by this mafia story. It's the first one I read from this author and I totally enjoyed it. It's very well written, the plot is rich on emotions, and has amazing and diverese characters. I loved the FLC. She is strong, feisty and stubborn. The MLC are both extremely🥵🥵🥵 (team Maddox😋). I love their possessive nature and their characters growth by the end of the book. There are still a lot of secrets to uncover in Dark Harbour.

Looking for an exciting read that has you loving every freaking moment! This one is it! Kidnapping, over the top over possessiveness by two brothers who fall hard for one girl. Family drama, suspicion trafficking, murder and romance Maddox is one hot head with a soft heart only for Rain and Callum is just one step nicer. Get ready to fall in love with these two male alpha.

We're back with the Men Of Dark Harbor with the Kane Brothers. This is Rain, Maddox and Callums story and it's fantastic! I love Rain, she's punky, no nonsense and so darn lovable. Their journey is consuming and fun, intense and dramatic and let's not forget steamy... Another great addition to the Dark Harbor world!

So I am obsessed with this book. Maddox is dark, broody, is a fighter Then we add in Callum and he’s kind and ruthless in the next breath. But to have them both in a why choose!!!! It’s amazing!

I really enjoyed the suspense and story line of this.

I absolutely recommend this book!!! I will be singing its praises for days, weeks, months to come.

Erica Jade has become one of my favorite authors of 2025 and this book right here is why. Definitely some of my favorite MMC’s from all books and I’ve loved them all, but Callum and Maddox (drool,sigh) they are next level.
In Kane Brothers (🤤🥴🫠) you’ve got diverse characters, emotionally charged moments, dramatic moments, and a holy spice. Dark, twisted and heartbreaking. The MMCs are morally gray/black. Strong feisty FMC’s. And then you have all of their OTT Friends mixed in there, I devoured this book I could not put it down. I can’t wait for the next Book in the series. I am so excited to see where Erica takes us. I definitely suggest check the trigger warnings and get ready for a steamy ride.

First off, what another wonderful book by Erica.

Second, Rain. What can I say about her, a fearless, spicy, woman that would not give up on being able to see her sister again and making sure to not let the brothers see her when she was at her weakest.

Third, the Kane brothers. Oh boy oh boy. Both brothers balance each other out with how they are. In the end both wanting Rain and in the end both sharing her.

If ya know, ya know Chapter 26.. All I will say is, I am no better than a man.

This book will leave you with a cliffhanger and wanting the next book to come out ASAP.
