Let’s just go ahead and call a spade a spade: Choppa is dumb. Like… capital D, lowercase smart. Sir, what are you even doing? He’s out here making moves that don’t benefit him at all, running around claiming to be a gangsta, but he’s playing himself every single time. I’m so over him at this point.
Now let’s shift to what really had me hooked. Zenta and Rain stepping into their music bags! In this book, we get to see that Zenta is more than just Sosa’s girl. Sis has BARS, okay?! Just like him. and Sosa? He’s so supportive. No ego, no drama, he lets his woman shine and stands right beside her like a real one should.
Also… okay, I’ll say it: Zenta’s momma redeemed herself a little. I had fully written her off after book one, but watching her show up better this time around was refreshing. Growth! I see it!
Now, just when I thought the drama might slow down a little, in walks Rome..and baby he is not here for Choppa’s foolishness either. The way he was trying to keep peace between his camp and Choppa’s? Grown man moves. Respect.
As for Rain… I want to say “poor Rain,” but let’s be real—this was karma pulling up with receipts. Actions meet consequences. That’s all I’ll say.
Now I’m sitting here itching for this Grind Gang book, because I know it’s about to be messy, chaotic, and fire all at once. King Benjamin, don’t keep us waiting too long!
