~~ S-L-O-W Not as good as the first book. ~~
Whilst it was definitely good to get a feel of what life is like for the Jews and Palestinians, the storyline in this book was not well developed. The mystery is there but it is not until Chapter 12 that Lydia realizes that she needs to solve the mystery of the missing money.
Lydia is a 14 year old girl and VERY conscious of the boys around her. The story focused way too much on boys and crushes making this book not so suitable as a read aloud for the family.
This book is a stand-alone even though it is part of a series. Unlike the first book, this second one does not set the scene for the next book. There were also quite a few editing errors. We borrowed this book from our local library and whilst after reading the first one I went and purchased it for our Kindles, I won't be doing this for this one. Thanks, Liz
