The book keeps talking about a robot wanting to go work for a big inventory company because he wants to be an inventor. He gets to the door of the business and... the story stops. The reader is given no information about whether or not the robot succeeds or anything- it just stops. I had to check the page count & binding to make sure I wasn't missing pages.

I had gotten this book for my son whose in 1st grade. He read it and said it was OK. So I read it and it's a good night time story.

This is a cute little book a level 2 book for beginner readers; (although some words would be tough for a very early beginner) I haven't seen the movie Robots; so don't know how true to the movie this is. But this story I can imagine was written from the movie. It does kind of skip around and so at times (as an adult) I'm saying what happened in between. But to a child they like it. To me it was to much like a movie and not enough of 'beginning, middle and end' for an actual story. But the children seemed to like it although my 2 year old granddaughter started loosing interest about half way through.

Books that connect to a popular movie help keep children interested. This book has a great moral of determination, but pictures are boring.
