They were everything until one night destroyed it.
Three years after the fallout, Amelia Hawkins is back in the orbit of the boy she once loved and the man he’s become. Ezra Shane, Maelstrom’s frontman, the name on every magazine, and the ghost behind every song. She’s his new PR rep. Her job is to protect the band. His is to pretend she doesn’t still own him.
But fame doesn’t bury the past; it exposes it. And the truth about that night is clawing its way to the surface, dragging both of them down with it.
Someone is watching. Waiting. Making sure neither of them forget what happened.
When love becomes collateral and survival turns into a full-time performance, Amelia and Ezra have to decide if forgiveness is worth the cost… or if some wounds were never meant to heal.
A dark rockstar romance about trauma, addiction, survival, and the kind of love that breaks everything before it finally saves you.
Ashleigh Guy is a romance and fantasy author known for writing emotionally charged stories filled with depth, heartbreak, and characters who feel uncomfortably real. She gravitates toward narratives that explore trauma, healing, obsession, and the complicated ways love reshapes the people who dare to reach for it. Born and raised in Florida, Ashleigh eventually transplanted to Michigan, where she now lives with her husband, Aaron, and their children. When she is not writing, she can usually be found gaming, binge watching random TV series with her bestie, reading into the early hours, or chatting with her closest circle while working on her next project. She firmly believes that most problems can be solved with a good cup of coffee, a great book, or a well-chosen video game. Ashleigh believes the best stories are the ones that stay with you long after the final page, the ones that hurt a little, heal a lot, and linger.
An absolute must read!!! This Bad Habits is a total heart break and repair in one go. The characters are made for each other. I love a sassy FMC and Amelia fits the bill. Ezra is the man of every women’s dream!!! He’s protective but the way he takes care of her made me melt. This book does discuss heavier themes but in a way that doesn’t feel overwhelming but you still feel it. Redemption arcs and healing arcs are one of my favorite things and this book has shown them so well!!!
What started as a fun, glamorous love story quickly turned into something much deeper, emotional, and genuinely surprising. The chemistry between the characters was intense, but what really drew me in were the unexpected plot twists that kept completely changing what we thought happened or what was going to happen. Every time I thought I had the story figured out, it took a sharp turn and hit even harder. This wasn’t just about fame and romance, it was about trust, sacrifice, and choosing love even when it’s messy and unpredictable. The highs were euphoric, the lows hurt, and the twists made me audibly gasp more than once. If you love intense romances, rockstar chaos, and stories that grab your heart and refuse to let go, this book is a must-read. And I absolutely love how this amazing author wrote this book and it will forever hold a special place in my book heart and book shelf ❤️
A second chance that made me believe in love again.
Bad Habits delivers the kind of rockstar romance that feels glamorous at first glance but quickly pulls you into something far deeper, darker, and utterly unforgettable. The chemistry between Amelia and Ezra is electric. It's exactly the sort of intense, all-consuming connection fans of the genre crave. What sets this story apart are the turns it takes. Just when you feel the plot settling, it twists toward a new layer of trust, sacrifice, or consequence, hitting harder each time and keeping you off balance in the best way.
This is more than fame and a love affair; it’s trauma, healing, and the risky choice to give love another shot when everything in you wants to run. There are euphoric highs, gut‑wrenching lows, and emotional shocks that genuinely make you gasp. At the same time, the heavier themes don’t feel overwhelming or gratuitous. They’re woven in with care, so you feel their weight without being crushed, and you walk away with a sense of redemption and growth for the characters.
You’ll find a sassy, resilient heroine and a hero who is protective, deeply flawed, and fiercely devoted, and their paths toward repair and redemption feel earned. In short, Bad Habits is a must-read for anyone who loves intense romance, rockstar chaos, and stories that refuse to let go of your heart. It’s exactly the kind of book that stays on your shelf and in your heart long after the last page.
