This is a story about how an adamant person who felt superior to others, fell under subtle influence of another person sharing similar values with him. Through this quiet influence, he found himself transformed gradually and came to know that he was no more than another ordinary person in this complex world running his own race insignificant to others.

The novel offers an insight on evolution of China’s corporate culture over the past two decades and what it may look like in the future.
