A lovely little story about two penguins who have a nest with two white eggs in it. Mother Penguin sits on the eggs every day while Father Penguin goes fishing.
One day Father says that he will sit on the eggs so Mother goes down to the sea and eats so much fish that she gets very fat. She spots a seal and realises that seals like to eat fat penguins so she gets out of the sea very fast.
She walks back to her nest to discover the eggs have gone. 'Where are they,' she asks Father. Here they are Father says, producing two baby chicks. 'You are clever!,' says Mother and Father adds, 'So are you.' The family live happily ever after.
A story book for young children nicely illustrated and with large type for the words, which makes it easy for reading.
