About the author

is an award-winning poet, author, educator, and activist. She holds five national poetry slam titles in four years, including the 2014 & 2012 Women of the World Slam Champion and 2011 National Poetry Slam Champion. Her work is greatly influenced by her family's legacy in the Civil Rights Movement and by the idea that worlds make worlds. 4/5…… Finished this yesterday and had to sit on it. I really enjoyed this. I’m liking the flow of everything the story, plot, characters, mystery. I’m liking it all. This is book 1/3 and I do have all 3….

This book had me on edge the entire time! Cause like is Layla doing the lords work by killing these sick nasty men. I gotta read the next book to what unfolds.
