She’s escaping her past.

Isabella Bennett never planned to run. But when her brother’s prison sentence rips apart her quiet life, she’s left with nothing but memories—and a desperate need for a fresh start.
London is supposed to be her new beginning, a city where no one knows her name. Until one chance encounter throws her world upside down.

He’s always in control.

Dominic Barone doesn’t do chaos. In business, in life, he’s always one step ahead—calculating, ruthless, precise. Then he meets Isabella. She’s chaos personified, and the one woman who makes him question everything he thought he knew about control.

Opposites don’t just attract. They explode.

Two worlds. One impossible connection.
They could destroy each other … or create something neither of them can live without.

Forever Ours is the first novel in The Forever Series, filled with sizzling romance, sharp sarcasm, and just the right amount of smut. Each book can be enjoyed as a standalone.

Honestly this was a different type of mafia romance and I love the way the author changed the perspective for it. It's not your typical run of the mill mafia romance - it's more of inheriting parts of your family's darkness whether you want to or not.

Dominic and Bella are polar opposites but they both share the sad realities of growing up in a broken home but with their own twists. Instant attraction has them burning for each other in the most swoon worthy and adorable way that makes you smile as you read. Despite the life of Dom, he's a total lover and romantic (which I seriously loved) and I loved Bella as well, I love that she didn't wallow in the life she was born into but chose to escape that weight and make her own path in the world, even if she was pushing what her true passion was away with walls up to protect herself from more pain. Their union truly transforms who they are individually and together; with a strong foundation of trust, no secrets and communication! As they grow together and more in love, more is at stake and to what cost does it mean for their happiness? For their future? As they navigate the unknown and scary, they come out stronger together. The ending leaves you wondering and craving for book two!

The book was delightfully an easy read that draws you into the characters and I was able to actually relate to some of the aspects of the story which I loved even more. A good balance of spice, drama and twists and a guaranteed heart warming happily ever after!

Thank you to the author and Ever After PR for this reading opportunity! I can't wait to continue to follow this story and see where it goes!

If you like opposites attract with a morally grey, down bad MMC, this is worth the read!

This a an opposites attract mafia romance where he falls first and hard. Isabella (Bella) (FMC) is the complete opposite of Dominic (Dom, as Isabella names him) (MMC) in almost every way, but so similar in the most unsuspecting ways. But that doesn’t stop Dom from taking one look at Isabella and deciding she was going to be his. Dom begins making his intentions known to Bella with cute dates and showing interest in her interests (or forcing himself into a painting class - same thing). There are great side characters, and the cute little dog (Buddy). While it was a mafia romance, I enjoyed it being presented from a different perspective - Dom inherited something he had no choice but to continue, something with a long history. I liked the story and how it was presented, but a little more development in certain areas would have made it even better.

This book gives a different take or story on a mafia family. Dominic is an important person in his family. You don't get a lot of the normal mafia stuff with killings, beating, etc. You can tell there are issues but it is not at the forefront of what is going on.

Isabella comes from what I would call a terrible family, they don't support her at all. The one person who was there for her always is her brother, but he ends up in prison. Isabella runs away from her family to get a fresh start and meets her new chosen family.

While out for a girls night with her best friend, she meets Dominic or Dom, you can tell that he was instantly into her. He is also just so sweet to her and does the nicest things for her. Dom is also very supportive of what she wants to do with her life and gives her what she was lacking in her family.

I did struggle with some of this, I felt some of the plot was rushed and other parts could have been developed more to have more impact on the story. Overall, I really enjoyed the romance between Dom and Isabella…I can't wait to see what happens next in this series.

Thank you EverAfter PR and Emma L. Stevens for giving me a copy of this story. All of my opinions are my own.

An opposites attract, billionaire romance with an interesting side of the mafia that you rarely get to see.

Our FMC Isabella, has moved to London, away from her awful parents after her brother was sent to prison, to start a new life. On a night out with friends she literally falls into Dominic (twice 😂) our MMC. He’s a successful lawyer and an important member of his mafia family.

Told from dual pov, I really enjoyed getting both of their perspectives. I liked the flashbacks to when they were both younger too. I actually liked both of these characters which has been rare for me lately. Dominic falls first, although their chemistry is great and there’s mutual instant attraction. He has the whole ‘she’s mine’ possessive vibe going on but it’s not too overbearing, as I’m not normally into that trope. There are a few spicy scenes which are minimally descriptive which I enjoyed. It fit the book well.

Special shoutout to Buddy the little cutie!

There’s a few additional plot lines going on with twists and drama throughout which I would have preferred more detail from. That epilogue though, I loved it. I can’t wait for book 2.

Overall I thought this was a fast paced, easy read and I really enjoyed so I rate it 4⭐️ 2🌶️.

Nešťastné zakopnutie a „niečo ako flirt“ v známom bare privedie mladú Isabellu do náručia bohatého právnika Dominica. Bella mu ihneď padne do oka a on sa do nej bezhlavo zamiluje. Aj napriek tomu, že sú obaja z iného sveta, právnik a čašníčka, Dominic nevidí žiadne prekážky a pustí sa dobýjať svoju milú. Bellin kamarát z kurzu maľovania Ollie, mu však môže svoje snahy zmariť. A nie len on, ale aj Dominicovo tajomstvo.

Túto knihu som dostala ako ARC a konečne som sa k nej dostala. A nemohla som ju pustiť z ruky! Ak hľadáte romancu s temným podtónom, táto kniha môže byť pre vás to pravé. Už je dostupná na Amazone a môžete si predobjednať aj pokračovania série! 🤩

Insta-love, opposite attract, a rýchly dej s krátkymi kapitolami. Jednohubka a celkom chutná! Dej je jednoduchý a predvídateľný, aj keď tam občas boli plottwisty, ktoré som nečakala. Postavy si zamilujete, no nejaký extra vývoj nečakajte.

What to expect:
• Mafia Romance
•Billionaire Romance
• He Falls First
• Spice
•Opposites Attract
•Dual POV

The story starts off a bit shaky, the beginning didn’t quite pull me in but it gradually builds up into a decent, light romance.

The female lead is a talented yet underconfident woman who’s still healing after being cheated on, while the male lead is a lawyer with deep mafia ties who basically falls for her at first sight. He’s the classic too-perfect hero, confident, protective, and endlessly patient while she’s constantly second-guessing both herself and their relationship.

The chemistry, though, wasn’t entirely convincing for me. It felt a little rushed one minute they meet, and the next they’re declaring lifelong love. That took away some of the emotional depth I usually look for in a romance.

Still, it’s a light, spicy, and quick read that doesn’t require too much emotional investment perfect for when you just want to escape into something dramatic and easy. Not extraordinary, but enjoyable enough for what it is.

Dominic and Bella are two totally different people unfortunately with a shared past of growing up In a broken home each with their own differences. When they meet it’s that instant kind of attraction. Though contrary to what you might think given his lifestyle Dominic is a romantic. Bella on the other hand chooses to forge her own path in life and she unfortunately puts up walls to protect herself and that means in doing so she is also pushing her true passion further away. When Bella and Dominic get together they change who they are not only as a couple but as individuals. And as you know when love is involved more is at stake. Things can become scary and unknown when someone you love is involved..

This was a classic Billionaire/Mafia romance and I enjoyed it. I love a story line where an FMC finally finds her confidence and a MMC who falls first and turns out to be a total lover boy. And of course a little bit of spice.. who doesn’t love some spice? Overall this was a quick read for me and I really enjoyed it! Thank you Emma & Ever After PR for the read!!

I found this book really enjoyable; it’s has mafia elements but it isn’t centre around the whole story, but you still get enough that keeps you hooked which I liked, you get glimpse of Dominic life within the mafia but the story focuses more on Isabella and Dominic.

I love that it’s set in London, the story was written so well, the friendship between Bella, Sam and Chloe was amazing, love the found family vibes that Bella has with her friends and Phoebe and her husband, it gave warmth to the story.

Now the chemistry between Bella and Dom was perfect, that man fell and he fell hard and never gave up, even when Bella was so guarded. He was open and honest with her, there was no miscommunication between them, which I really liked because it just made the story more easy and enjoyable.

It also had elements of suspense which was very compelling, that with the characters and other elements in the story all worked together well.

All around a very amazing read and I can’t wait for book two.

Forever Ours was a solid 3.5 start for me. It gives all the opposites-attract, protective MMC, he-falls-first vibes I love. Dominic Barone was absolutely down bad for Bella from the start, and I adored watching him lose his composure over her. 🖤

Bella, on the other hand, took her time letting those walls down—and I respected that. Her hesitancy felt real, and when she finally gave him a chance, their connection felt genuine and earned. I also appreciated that Dom was honest about his mafia ties—it made their relationship feel more grounded and adult.

If I’m being honest, the Nancy subplot felt very unnecessary, and the stalker storyline could’ve been developed more—it didn’t quite hit the emotional or suspenseful punch I expected. But that didn’t take away from the chemistry or the heart of the story.

Overall, I really enjoyed it. It’s a fast and light-spice read with a hero who would burn the world down for his girl, and I’m definitely curious to see where Emma Stevens takes this series next.

For a mafia romance, there wasn't a lot of mafia.... The blurb also makes this sound darker than it actually is. This was more of a cute romance with a little light stalking and a hint of a mafia connection.

There were so many different events that took place that would have made this book so much more interesting if they had been explored more. I realise this is a shorter book, so there is only so much that can be done, but I would have rather focused more on one side plot and that was expanded and grabbed my attention rather than a few that were relevant, but ended too quickly and felt underwhelming.

The characters were cute, but their relationship felt like it was moving too fast and I wish there was more development and stolen moments between them. One example being their getaway together. The timelines felt all over the place and far too short so I was never fully invested in their story. The most exciting part was the wedding and I am debating if I want to read the next book based on how it ended.

Thank you to Ever After PR for the e-arc. All opinions are my own.

This wasn’t your typical mafia romance which I liked - you got some of the drama but not as much of the killings and stuff. There was tension between family’s and it hints at behind the scenes damage control but overall, the way the author tied it all together was great.

Isabella comes from a very unsupportive family - at 17, her brother which is her rock, gets busted and goes to prison. She runs from home to London where she starts over with her found family.

After going out with her besties for a night, she literally stumbles in to Dom - lawyer and one of the higher ups in his family. She keeps him at arms length due to her past heartbreak but eventually he wins her over and he’s seriously the cutest - just the little things he does for her and how supportive he is of her and her dreams - we all wish for that.

Throughout the book, you’re introduced to other players in the game and I can’t wait to read G and A’s book! Thank you @everafterpr and the author for the early read! All opinions are my own.

This book started off really strong for me. I absolutely LOVED the little meet cute between our FMC Isabella and our MMC Dominic. Unfortunately, after that the rest of the story felt a little underdeveloped for me.

There was an underlying Mafia plot but it left me more confused than anything. I feel like Dominic's storyline lacked details needed to connect readers to him. I did love Isabella's childhood chapters, it gave really good insight as to why she was scared to pursue her dreams. I did like the relationship, and spice, between our main characters even though it was a bit instalovey, I can appreciate how down bad Dominic was for our girl!

I did love the dual timeline for both characters! It was nice to get glimpses of the past for them both.

Overall, the story had so much potential but felt like it needed more development in dialogue and plot.

*Thank you to so much to EverAfter PR and Emma L. Stevens for the ARC and the opportunity to read this early!*

Isabella moves to London when her life implodes. She’s content to live a quiet life, under the radar. Until she meets Dominic. It’s a chance encounter in a club, almost nothing. But both feel the pull. Soon, Dominic is turning up in Isabella’s life more and more. They’re complete opposites- Dominic is calm and controlled while Isabella is pure chaos. On paper they shouldn’t work, in reality they’re perfect for each other. Can Isabella put her insecurities aside long enough to give Dominic a real chance?

Ohhhhhh this was short my god did it leave an impression!! I LOVED it!! Dominic and Isabella are just perfect together and their chemistry is intense. I’m legit obsessed with them! This had everything, it had that insta love, some danger and threat, spice and an amazingly supportive friendship group! I can’t wait for the next book because the Easter eggs for it in this book have me hooked already!

Dominic aka Nico comes from a mafia family, parts of that are woven into the story, however it isn't a key theme throughout. I personally would have liked to see more of this.

The book had good elements and a lot of potential, however I just felt something was missing for me.

Bella and Dom had an instant attraction, with Dom definitely falling first. I felt the love and chemistry felt rushed in the book.

I liked how Dom helped Bella love and trust again. He was protective of and there for people he cared about.

I understand it was a shorter book, and lots of promising themes were touched upon, like stalking, kidnapping, and mafia. However, they were all rushed.

I did enjoy Bella's found family and the love and support she received from them.
Overall, the book had lots of great ideas but they were not developed/detailed enough for me.

Noooo! What have I just read?!

What an ending! I feel like my heart is beating out of my chest, I can’t believe how it’s just finished.

I absolutely loved this story. I am all for a cheeky mafia romance but it’s not too dark which I know some people may not be too keen on.

The relationship between Dom and Bella is hot. I love how Dom, even though he’s a big billionaire mafia man, is the one who falls first and is so loving and protective and will do anything to keep those he loves safe.

Bella is a lot more timid and shy, from past traumas she struggles to trust but Dom brings out a stronger side of her while she opens Dom’s softer side.

I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author because this story is just the beginning.

Dominic and Isabella are two people who never would have met if it weren't for an unexpected encounter. Their accidental meeting changes both of their worlds. While they are getting to know each other more, they are also having to deal with ex-lovers, an overly obsessive friend, and blending their worlds together. Through it all, nothing stops them from getting their happily ever after!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is a very cute billionaire/mafia romance. It took a minute for the plot to develop, but once it does, it is a great read! Ollie and Nancy had me nervous for a minute. However, the twist in the story? NOT what I was expecting! This is ends with readers getting a chance to see a different story between other characters! And I love Buddy. I'm happy he got to stay through the story!

This was a really good read!

Isabella and Dom are complete opposites, but that’s exactly what made their connection so addictive! I was hooked from the beginning. Their chemistry felt instant yet believable, and I loved watching how their differences actually balanced each other out. Dominic’s possessiveness was chef’s kiss 👌🏼 😘 Intense in all the right ways without ever feeling over the top, and underneath it all he was surprisingly romantic 🥹

Some moments did feel a little rushed, but it didn’t take away from the story at all. It’s definitely one of those books you can fly through in a day which I did! Easy to read, engaging, and full of the kind of tension that keeps you turning the pages. Overall, a quick but thoroughly enjoyable mafia romance!

So thankful to have received an ARC for this book!

It was such a classic billionaire/mafia romance. I loved how down bad Dom was for Bella. There is nothing better than a he falls first and harder trope!

There were so many different plot lines going on that sometimes it got a little jumbled. I would’ve liked to have focused on one and just gone more in depth with it.

The pacing was a little off for me sometimes and the flow was a little choppy. However, this book has interesting plot lines, lovable characters, and a little bit of spice to bring it all together.

If you’re looking for a quick read (I finished this in a couple hours) with a down bad billionaire MMC with mafia ties and a FMC who finds her confidence this is a great read.

ARC Review

Forever Ours follows Dominic, a lawyer with dangerous mafia ties, and Isabella, a waitress trying to escape her past. When their paths cross by chance, Dominic falls first—and hard.

This was a cute, quick read with a lot of potential. The chemistry between Dominic and Isabella was sweet, and I liked the contrast between his dark world and her need for a fresh start. However, the story moved a little too fast for me. The romance leaned heavily into insta-love, and I found myself wishing for more buildup and depth to really understand how they fell for each other.

Overall, it’s an enjoyable short romance if you’re looking for something fast-paced and a little dramatic, but I was left wanting more from the plot and character development.

This story centres around Dominic - a lawyer with ties to the dark underworld of the mafia - and Bella, an aspiring artist who works as a waitress.
It leans heavily into familiar and well-loved tropes: opposites attract, insta-love, billionaire, and mafia romance. Tropes we all know and often enjoy. However…

While this may serve as an introduction to mafia romance, it ultimately wasn’t for me. The tone felt far more light and cutesy than dark, intense, or twisted, which is what I tend to expect from this genre.
I’ll admit, this was a fast-paced read—but not in a way that always worked. Despite being relatively short at around 200 pages, there was a lot of jumping around. Quick, in-between moments took away from both the overall story development and the character arcs. At times, I found myself flipping back simply to catch up on what was happening. While there was a main plot, the presence of numerous side plots made it unclear where my focus should lie. This approach can work in some stories, but here it felt distracting rather than enriching.

That said, the romance itself suited the pacing fairly well. The insta-love element, though, didn’t quite land for me. While this trope can be effective, here it introduced a level of cheesiness that made it harder to fully invest in the couple or feel that usual “rooting for them” excitement.

Although character backstories can be beneficial, the inclusion of Bella’s mother and brother didn’t add much to the story. Their presence felt largely irrelevant, and the narrative wouldn’t have suffered had they been omitted. I assume they may play a role in future books, but within this instalment, they didn’t serve a clear purpose.
Overall, many of the side plots and side characters seem to exist mainly to set up future sequels.

Think: a talented, healing FMC meets a powerful, confident, and protective MMC, with a dash of spice, mild drama, and light emotional investment - and you have Forever Ours.
While the story had potential, it ultimately missed the mark for me.

Thank you to Emma & Ever After PR for sending me an ecopy to read and review.

This was really enjoyable. If you love insta love and fast paced with lots of twists this is this the book for you!

Dom, falls in love quick and hard! His a successful billionaire lawyer, his family have ties to the mafia.

Isabella is a waitress and meets Dom on a night out, but has her own insecurities to work through!

I love Isabella’s friends and found family, the support around her was so nice to see!

Overall, 4 stars, has good spice, not too super long read (wish it was longer) fast burn, lots of drama and HEA. I am excited to read the rest of the series.

So I devoured this book in a few hours instead of going to sleep. It’s fast-paced, sweet, and smutty. Everything you want in a palate cleanser or a quick read. For mafia romance it isn’t as dark as others so for those that are worried about graphic violence or anything there isn’t any in this book. It’s a perfect start to a series where the other characters are introduced but don’t take away from the main romance plot. I love all of the men in this book (except the creeper of course but not spoiling), and the FMC and her best friends are so freaking adorable. I’d love to look out for more books from this indie author when I need a nice quick & dirty romance ;)

Thanks to Ever After PR for the ARC!

This was my first book I’ve read from this author, the microtropes really piqued my interest and I managed to finish this is 1 day as it’s short at 277 pages.

I really liked the dynamic between the FMC and MMC, but felt the story was extremely rushed and found the writing quite juvenile throughout the book, I definitely think this could be longer and have the story fleshed out more.

I liked the snippets of potential sequels with other characters throughout as well.

Will pick up book 2.

This book was an enjoyable read and the first book I have read by this author.

Bella and Dominic were totally different, but they seemed to have an instant connection, which resulted in some serious banter between the two, which I loved. The story/plot definitely kept me interested, and I loved the development of Bella's character, which definitely grew during the book. Dominic was such a strong character who had his own responsibilities, and they seemed to dictate the type of life he could have.

Dominic and Bella are polar opposites but they share the same realities of growing up in a broken home but with their own twists.
Instant attraction and chemistry has them burning for each other in a swoon worthy way.
Despite life as a dom Dominic is a total lover and romantic. Bella was my favorite because she didn’t wallow in the life she was born into but she chose to escape by making her own path in the world.
The ending definitely will make you want more for book 2

Loved the different take on this romance. Being a mafia romance, I loved that that wasn’t the soul focus. Bella and Dom were amazing characters. Both come from dark pasts, but it shows just how different their lives were. Both went in different directions, but their hurt was still locked away inside them. The way they came together and how Dom was there for Bella no matter what. This was a day but sweet romance and I really loved the original take on fire this was written. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

Forever Ours as a well-written story. It was a mafia romance but not like the ones I have read before. I enjoyed that part of it.

Isabella comes from a unsupportive family. Her brother goes to prison when she is a teenager. They were very close. She decides to run away to London. There she finds a job as a waitress.

Isabella is out with her friends when she meets Dom. He is a lawyer. This accidental meeting changes them forever. Dominic falls hard and fast for Isabella. They deal with so much while trying to find their happy ending. Their story is full of twists. Overall a great story.

Thank you to the author for an advanced copy for an honest review.

This was a cute quick romance read. I am a sucker for artists in love, but a hopelessly obsessed male lead was the icing on the cake. The romance was as adorable as the nickname Dom gave Isabella - shortcake and I loved all their interactions. Honourable mention for Buddy! As the owner of three small dogs, I couldn't help but chuckle at Dom being a slightly reluctant but smitten pet owner. A true highlight was Isabella's found family through the girls that work at Wilson's, and I can't wait to see enemies to lovers story from this series after the cliffhanger at the end of this book.

I wanted to love this more than I did.

This reads more like a cute, lighter mafia romance than a true dark romance, so if you’re looking for something really twisted or intense, this probably won’t scratch that itch.

The writing itself is strong, with vivid descriptions, clear character voices, and an intriguing setup. But the second half felt rushed, and the climactic moment didn’t hit with the impact I hoped for, leaving the ending a bit anticlimactic.

The spice was solid 🌶️, and I think readers who enjoy softer mafia romances will connect with this more than I did.
